Apple rejected my app ( again )
Hello everyone, few days back I posted about how apple rejected my build and now after 3 days, they replied back in a very unclear, and I am not being able to understand what they really mean by that. Context :- In my app, when the user clicked on "export" button, it should show the export options, however, if the user is not on a lifetime plan, it should open the "premium" popup / modal to allow them to purchase. Now, this modal loades project based on storekit IN app purchases I added, and locally I tested using the `.storekit` file and everything worked fine. However, before archieveing the build for app store connect, I remove the local file form "edit" scema, and I thought it should load automatically based on the IAP, because I added the IAP to the app build in the console as well. But now, apple responded with this after 3 days :- Issue Description The app exhibited one or more bugs that would negatively impact App Store users. Bug description: "Export" button brings up an empty sheet that seems like a In-App Purchase. (Please see attached screenshot) Next Steps Test the app on supported devices to identify and resolve bugs and stability issues before submitting for review. If you are unable to reproduce the bug, try the following: - For new apps, uninstall all previous versions of your app from a device, then install and follow the steps to reproduce. - For app updates, install the new version as an update to the previous version, then follow the steps to reproduce. They are saying that the premium modal is showing empty. However, what am I suppose to do here? Its working as expected, it needs to show the IAP which I already added? Can someone please guide here a bit, I am on a verge of cry, after waiting for 3 days, they replied with no clear answer and probably gonna take another week ( because of weekend tommorow ) and I am not sure what they really mean by that? This is screenshot of loaded modal and without loaded modal :-

UICollectionView cells don't show accessibility numbers or labels
I started to use the Accessibility features of UIKit but cannot get the numbers or labels to show up on UICollectionCells. The image here shows a 3x3 matrix with no numbers, but the numbers on the menu commands show up. Actually these are just iOS accessibility features, not my app. I've tried reducing the size of my images or no images, but nothing shows up (in any of my UICollection code). I can get them to work on UITableView cells. I've tried the Accessibility selection in the storyboard or code, but nothing helps.

Debugger breakpoints not hitting since updating to macOS 26.1
Hi, I have started facing an issue with Xcode since updating to macOS 26.1. The debugger is not stopping at breakpoints in Objective-C code, however breakpoints in Swift file are working fine. I am using Xcode 16.4. For breakpoints in Objective-C files I have started to get this message since the OS update - 'Xcode won't pause at this breakpoint because it has not been resolved.' I have already tried cleaning derived data and build folder. I do not want to upgrade to Xcode 26. Could someone help with the fix? Thanks

Account pending
Hi everyone, I purchased an Apple Developer Program membership about three days ago. The payment has already been successfully charged to my bank account, but my account is still showing the status “Pending” with the message “Subscribe your membership.” I haven’t received any confirmation email or any request for additional information since completing the purchase. I’m curious if others have experienced a similar delay recently, and how long it took before your developer account was fully activated. Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

AVAudioEngine obtains channel audio data
Currently, I have successfully used ChannelMap to map hardware input channels and obtained audio data from the hardware device's MIC and OTG inputs. Additionally, I have used ChannelMap to map output channels to freely feed data for playback to each output channel. However, I now have a problem. I have a hardware device that only has output channels (no input channels), and the system has set this hardware device as the default playback device. In this case, how can I obtain the audio data being played to the output channels for modification?

Developer Program enrollment still pending after payment
Hi everyone, I subscribed to the Apple Developer Program on Tuesday evening, Dec 7th, 2025. The payment has already been charged to my bank account, but my account still shows the status “Pending” with the message “Subscribe your membership”. It’s now been several days, and I haven’t received any confirmation email or any request for additional information. I already contacted Apple Support by email, but I’d like to know if other developers have experienced the same situation and how long it took before their account was activated. Thanks in advance for your help and feedback!

Seeking Advice on App Store Optimization for a New App With Low Initial Traction
I launched my app on the App Store and Google Play about two months ago and despite improving the icon and screenshots I have only reached around 40 downloads which makes me believe ASO is my main challenge. I started using ASO tools like TryAstro and AppTweak but the keyword metrics such as volume 39 and difficulty 0 are confusing so I would appreciate guidance on interpreting this data and on effective ASO strategies for a new app with minimal downloads or ratings.

Please allow the "Back to App" breadcrumb to coexist with Live Activities in Compact Mode
Subject: Request to maintain the "Status Bar Breadcrumb" visibility while Dynamic Island is active Hi, I am developing an app using ActivityKit and Dynamic Island. I've noticed a significant UX regression regarding the system status bar behavior. Current Behavior: When a Live Activity is active in the Dynamic Island (specifically in the compactLeading and compactTrailing presentation), the system automatically hides the "Back to [Previous App]" breadcrumb button (the small arrow and app name) in the top-left corner of the status bar. This breadcrumb only reappears when the Live Activity switches to the minimal presentation or is dismissed. The Issue: This behavior makes multitasking cumbersome for users. For example, if a user navigates from Safari to my app and then locks the screen or goes to Home, they expect the "Back to Safari" button to remain accessible. However, because my app's Live Activity is running in the Dynamic Island, the OS removes this navigation shortcut, forcing users to use the app switcher instead. Why this should be changed: Screen Real Estate: On larger devices (e.g., iPhone 15/16 Pro Max), there is significant whitespace in the top-left corner between the time and the Dynamic Island's leading edge. The breadcrumb could easily fit there without overlapping the Live Activity content. Inconsistent UX: Users are confused why the navigation button disappears solely because a background activity is running. Request: Please consider updating the status bar layout logic to allow the "Back to App" breadcrumb to remain visible if there is no physical overlap with the compactLeading view of the Dynamic Island. Thank you.

DMG - Background - Broken in Tahoe ?
I am trying to set an image as the background in the window of a DMG. The image is: PNG file; 144x144 resolution; 1138x574 size. In macOS Tahoe, the image is added by: selecting the DMG window; opening the "Show View Options" dialog; clicking on "Picture"; dragging the image file to the small square box labelled "Drag image here"; closing "Show View Options" dialog. The DMG is then ejected. In Disk Utility, the image file is converted to "Read Only image (UDRO)". The converted image file is opened and the background image is visible. The image file is then copied to a MacBook running macOS 12 Monterey and opened. The background image is NOT shown. The image file is copied to a Mac mini running macOS 14 Sequoia and opened. The background image is NOT shown. Have read past online discussions in which it was explained that an image file called "background" should be inside a hidden folder called ".background". The above procedure did not do that. Is that old advice still correct for macOS Tahoe ? Has Tahoe somehow broken the method used for setting the background of a Window ? Is the method used in Tahoe different to past versions of macOS ? If so, is there a way of maintaining compatibility with old versions of macOS ? Is there any documentation on how to set the background image of a DMG window which might explain this behaviour ?? Thanks.

Game Center When Opponent Declines Game
Turn-based games: 2 players When an opponent declines a game in the Game Center MatchMaker VC, that player sees that they quit, but no message is sent to the listener about that fact. For the person who started the match, their MMVC shows it's their turn again. Why doesn't Game Center end the match?

waiting for review longer than usual after resubmission
Hello, My app (App ID: 1616628950) is currently in the Waiting for Review state after resubmission. The app was resubmitted on December 24 following a previous rejection related to in-app purchase labeling. The issue has been addressed, and the updated build was submitted accordingly. Normally, our app updates enter review within 1–2 days, so this delay seems slightly unusual. I understand that review times may vary, especially during the holiday period, but I wanted to check in here in case the submission might be stuck or require additional information from our side. There were no major functional or policy-related changes in this update aside from addressing the previously noted issue. Thank you very much for your time and assistance.

Do we still need to comply with SB2420 on Jan 1st for distributing apps in Texas ?
According to this news, we don't need anymore (at least temporarily): https://www.macrumors.com/2025/12/23/texas-app-store-law-blocked/ A Texas federal judge today blocked an App Store age verification law that was set to go into effect on January 1, 2026, which means Apple may not have to support the changes after all. Hope we shall get very rapidly more information from Apple.

Best practice for centralizing SwiftData query logic and actions in an @Observable manager?
I'm building a SwiftUI app with SwiftData and want to centralize both query logic and related actions in a manager class. For example, let's say I have a reading app where I need to track the currently reading book across multiple views. What I want to achieve: @Observable class ReadingManager { let modelContext: ModelContext // Ideally, I'd love to do this: @Query(filter: #Predicate<Book> { $0.isCurrentlyReading }) var currentBooks: [Book] // ❌ But @Query doesn't work here var currentBook: Book? { currentBooks.first } func startReading(_ book: Book) { // Stop current book if any if let current = currentBook { current.isCurrentlyReading = false } book.isCurrentlyReading = true try? modelContext.save() } func stopReading() { currentBook?.isCurrentlyReading = false try? modelContext.save() } } // Then use it cleanly in any view: struct BookRow: View { @Environment(ReadingManager.self) var manager let book: Book var body: some View { Text(book.title) Button("Start Reading") { manager.startReading(book) } if manager.currentBook == book { Text("Currently Reading") } } } The problem is @Query only works in SwiftUI views. Without the manager, I'd need to duplicate the same query in every view just to call these common actions. Is there a recommended pattern for this? Or should I just accept query duplication across views as the intended SwiftUI/SwiftData approach?

WeatherKit: WeatherDaemon.WDSJWTAuthenticatorServiceListener.Errors Code=2 on iOS 26.2 (Simulator & Device)
Hello everyone, I’m experiencing a WeatherKit issue that occurs consistently on both the iOS 26.2 Simulator and a real device running iOS 26.2. Environment: Xcode: latest iOS: 26.2 Occurs on: Simulator AND physical device WeatherKit usage: via WeatherService API (not manual REST) Location Services: authorized (When In Use / Always) Issue: WeatherDaemon.WDSJWTAuthenticatorServiceListener.Errors Code=2 "The operation couldn’t be completed." Already verified: WeatherKit capability is enabled for the App ID com.apple.developer.weatherkit entitlement is present Bundle ID matches the App ID App is signed with the correct Team ID Behavior is identical on Simulator and physical device Error occurs before any WeatherKit response is returned Questions: Is this a known issue with WeatherKit on iOS 26.2? Are there any known limitations or requirements for WeatherService related to WeatherDaemon validation? Is there a recommended way to diagnose why WeatherDaemon rejects the request with Code=2? Code: private let weatherService = WeatherService()
