How to stop ios 26 glass effect UI in ios app
Hi everyone, I want to avoid the iOS 26 Liquid Glass effect in my app’s UI. While researching, I found the following possible solution: Steps: Go to Info.plist Add the key: UIDesignRequiresCompatibility Type: Boolean Value: YES I have a few questions about this approach: According to the Apple Developer website, this seems to be a temporary solution. How long will this continue to work, and what would be the recommended long-term solution? Which iOS versions does this support (both older and upcoming versions)? If this method is not recommended, is there another way to disable or avoid the glass effect across the entire app without making major UI changes? Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Beta Update Killed Mini M4
I dutifully upgraded my software (beta) on Feb. 24 when prompted. I could not get the computer to reboot, then after about 5 hours on the phone with, I think, 4 techs, they told me the only solution was to wait for the next update - I could not go backwards to the regular version. So $1,299 later I have a new Mac Mini M4! I have to work, so it was the only solution. What do I win?

StoreKit2 Coexistence Issues with Original StoreKit
Background: My app uses a third-party SDK for payments, and it uses Original StoreKit internally for IAP payments. Now I'm getting ready to migrate to StoreKit2, and during the transition, users may use either method to initiate payments, and there's no way to avoid the coexistence of StoreKit2 and Original StoreKit. Problem: When a user has an unfinished transaction, if the app is restarted, both StoreKit2 and Original StoreKit will receive a notification of the transaction: Original StoreKit's '-paymentQueue:updatedTransactions:' method StoreKit2's 'Transaction.updated' method resulting in duplicate calls to the shipping API. My current treatment is to only add '-paymentQueue:updatedTransactions:' to listen for unfinished transactions. Even if the user is using StoreKit2 to initiate the payment, if the transaction is not Finished, it will be fetched via this method after restarting the app to process this transaction. Is this approach feasible and are there any best practices for this scenario? To summarize: Is it feasible to fetch unfinished StoreKit2 transactions via Original StoreKit methods when StoreKit2 coexists with Original StoreKit? Is there a recommended way

MusicKit JS — Commercial B2B use case: SaaS managing song requests for venues
Hello everyone, I'm building Mixify (https://mixify.fr), a French SaaS platform for professional DJs and commercial venues (bars, lounges, event spaces). I'm looking for guidance on whether my use case is compliant with MusicKit JS policies. How it works: The Host (a venue owner or DJ) logs into the Mixify dashboard using their own Apple Music subscription. The Guests scan a QR code to access a web interface where they can browse the Apple Music catalog and suggest songs. The Host reviews suggestions, accepts or rejects them, and accepted songs are added to the playback queue. Playback is handled entirely by MusicKit JS in the host's authenticated browser session, connected to the venue's speakers. Key points: Mixify is a paid SaaS (starting at €49/month) — we charge for event management tools (dashboard, analytics, guest interaction), not for access to music content. Only the authenticated Apple Music subscriber hears/controls playback. Guests only browse and suggest — they never access playback. No content is downloaded, cached, or redistributed. We use the official MusicKit JS player exclusively. Venues are responsible for their own public performance licenses (SACEM in France). My questions: Does this B2B workflow — where a SaaS manages song request logistics but relies on MusicKit JS solely for playback by an authenticated subscriber — comply with the MusicKit guidelines? Are there any specific restrictions on using MusicKit JS in a commercial/venue environment that I should be aware of? Is there a recommended way to contact Apple Developer Relations directly for a formal compliance review of this use case? I've already submitted an inquiry via the Apple Developer contact form and email, but I'd appreciate any community insight or experience with similar integrations. Thank you!

Enrollment pending for nearly 1 month
Hello, My Apple Developer Program enrollment has been pending for almost one month. I have already contacted Apple Developer Support via email and also called support, but unfortunately I have not received any response or update so far. On the support page it says responses usually come within 2 days or less, but it has been much longer in my case. Could someone from Apple please help check the status of my enrollment or advise what I should do next? Thank you.

Final Cut Pro not loading my plugin
I have exhausted standard debugging approaches and need guidance on Final Cut Pro's AU plugin loading behavior. PLUGIN OVERVIEW My plugin is an AUv2 audio plugin built with JUCE 8. The plugin loads and functions correctly in: Pro Tools (AAX) Media Composer (AAX) Reaper (AU + VST3) Logic Pro (AU) GarageBand (AU) Audacity (AU) DaVinci Resolve / Fairlight (AU) Harrison Mixbus (AU) Ableton Live (AU) Cubase (VST3) Nuendo (VST3) It does NOT load in Final Cut Pro (tested on 10.8.x, macOS 14.6 and 15.2). DIAGNOSTICS COMPLETED auval passes cleanly: auval -v aufx Hwhy Manu → AU VALIDATION SUCCEEDED Plugin is notarized and stapled: xcrun stapler validate → The validate action worked spctl --assess --type exec → Note: returns 'not an app' which we understand is expected for .component bundles. Hardened Runtime is enabled on the bundle. We identified that our Info.plist contained a 'resourceUsage' dictionary in the AudioComponents entry. We found via system logs that this was setting au_componentFlags = 2 (kAudioComponentFlag_SandboxSafe), causing FCP to attempt loading the plugin in-process inside its sandbox, where our UDP networking is denied. We removed the resourceUsage dict, confirmed au_componentFlags = 0 in the CAReportingClient log, and FCP now loads the plugin out-of-process via AUHostingServiceXPC_arrow. Despite au_componentFlags = 0 and out-of-process loading confirmed, the plugin still does not appear in FCP's effects browser. We also identified and fixed a channel layout issue — our isBusesLayoutSupported was not returning true for 5-channel layouts (which FCP uses internally). This is now fixed. AU cache has been fully cleared: ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.audio.AudioComponentRegistrar /Library/Caches/com.apple.audio.AudioComponentRegistrar coreaudiod and AudioComponentRegistrar killed to force rescan auval -a run to force re-registration

App Review delay: Stuck in "Waiting for Review" since Feb 9th
Hello, I have quite a few apps that have been stuck in "Waiting for Review" since February 9th. This is unusual as my previous updates were always processed quickly. Due to the long delay and the number of accumulated updates pending, I decided to reset all submissions today to see if it triggers any movement. Has anyone else experienced this sudden stall with multiple apps and updates recently? Any advice on how to handle this would be appreciated.

Unity iOS (Metal) → WebRTC (Unity WebRTC) video stream to remote Unity client: PeerConnection connects but receiver renders black frames
Hello! My name is Mason Prather. I'm a graduate student at Kennesaw State University and a Research Engineer working in XR environments through my Graduate Research Assistant role. I’m currently building a research prototype that connects a mobile companion application to a VR headset. The mobile application is built in Unity and deployed on iOS, and it streams video frames to a remote Unity client using WebRTC. Environment Device: iPhone 15 OS: iOS 26.3 (tested on physical device, not Simulator) Engine: Unity 2022.3.57f1 Graphics API: Metal Streaming Technology: WebRTC (Unity WebRTC package) Architecture: Mobile Unity app streaming video frames to a remote Unity client Receiver Device: Meta Quest Pro headset (Unity application) Networking: LAN (UDP discovery + TCP signaling) Video Source: Unity RenderTexture Goal The goal of the system is to allow a VR user to view media stored on their phone inside a VR environment. The iOS app: renders or captures media content converts frames into a WebRTC video track streams the video to the headset Current Status Connection setup works correctly. Observed behavior: Signaling connection successful ICE candidate exchange successful PeerConnection state becomes Connected Video track created successfully However, the receiving application displays black frames. iOS App Details The video source originates from a Unity RenderTexture. Inside the phone application: RenderTexture displays correctly Frames appear correct locally But the receiving peer does not display the frames. Relevant Components Unity WebRTC package iOS Metal rendering pipeline Custom TCP signaling LAN discovery via UDP Expected Behavior Rendered frames should transmit via WebRTC and appear on the remote device. Actual Behavior The remote video track is active, but the rendered frames appear black on the receiving client. Questions Are there known issues involving Unity WebRTC + iOS Metal texture capture? Are there specific pixel format requirements when streaming textures from Unity on iOS? Could the issue relate to texture readback limitations or GPU synchronization? I am more than happy to provide screenshots and console logs upon request. If anyone has experience streaming Unity video frames via WebRTC on iOS, I would greatly appreciate any guidance.

Xcode error: Missing target with GUID
I have been getting the following error intermittently (once it happens, then its consistent) when I try to build my app Showing Recent Errors Only Unable to resolve build file: BuildFile<b11862f281fd8c8287d499b4f0922a9c61c95323d2196ba877ed344a02baffbb> (The workspace has a reference to a missing target with GUID '0c7e19da3805e0a412c717704d4549fc25560b498add930cbef9623bd9afb53a') There have been no changes to my project (git status is clean). I have tried cleaning DerivedData as well, but it did not help. How am I supposed to figure out from the GUID what is it that xcode is trying to find?

Apple App Review + DSA Review taking over 2 months – anyone else experiencing this?
I'm an independent developer and one of my apps has been stuck in App Review / DSA review for more than 2 months now. I fully understand that reviews take time, especially with the new Digital Services Act (DSA) requirements in the EU, but two months with almost no feedback is honestly frustrating. I've already submitted everything required for compliance and responded to the few messages I received, but the app is still sitting in review without any clear timeline. For indie developers this kind of delay can be really difficult since launches, updates, and marketing plans depend on getting the app approved. Has anyone else experienced very long DSA-related reviews recently?

We also identified and fixed a channel layout issue — our isBusesLayoutSupported was not returning true for 5-channel layouts (which FCP uses internally). This is now fixed. Using Xcode 26, Targets/Appname/General/Supported Destination - I have iPhone only as destination and in the Info.plist I have this: UIDeviceFamily 1 UIRequiredDeviceCapabilities telephony Is there anything else need to do to make sure it can't be installed on iPads? Thanks in advance

Trouble installing Xcode 23.0.1
I was having an issue with the new xcode and was forced to to go back to to Xcode 26.0.1. ( I need iOS simulators for mobile testing and as Developer I know is using this version with no problems). I've always install xcode from the app store with no issue so installing from Apple Dev was something new for me so So I did the following downloaded Xcode 26.0.1 Extracted it from Xzip added the extracted Xcode version to the applications folder click the Xcode icon Expected result I was expecting to see text i could install Xcode version Actual Result Xcode opened Asked me to create a project When project was created I saw Question. What did I do wrong? How do I fix it?
