Extension merchant sertificate
Hi. I am writing to request clarification regarding the renewal period of the merchant certificate. According to the documentation, Apple issues merchant certificates for 25 months, and this has been the case for several years. However, in the past six months, the issued certificates have been valid for only 3 months, which causes significant inconvenience. I have reviewed the documentation again and contacted support, but I was only referred back to the same information stating that the certificate should be valid for 25 months. Could you please clarify whether there have been any recent changes to the renewal policy? Additionally, is there a way to extend the certificate's validity to the expected 25-month period? I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue.

iOS sdcard plug-in/unplug event and read problems
Currently, we use UIDocumentPickerViewController to read the user's connected sdcard. However, this requires the user to select manually, and the event cannot be monitored. But recently I found that ImageCaptureCore's ICDeviceBrowserDelegate can monitor the plug-in and unplug events in the didAddDevice callback, but cannot obtain the path of the storage card. I wonder if there is a way to combine the advantages of both, so that with the user's consent, the card reader events can be monitored and the content can be read directly without the user manually selecting the folder

Inconsistent notification coming from AppStore Servers
I encountered a scenario involving a subscription and need to determine if it's a problem or an expected outcome. Here are the details: My service received a notification from Apple of type DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_STATUS with subtype AUTO_RENEW_DISABLED. The status field received on the payload was equal to 1 - Active. (2024-12-19T15:34:53.801) My service again received a DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_STATUS with subtype AUTO_RENEW_DISABLED. But the status field received was 2 - Expired. (2024-12-19T23:34:57.527) My service received an EXPIRED with subtype VOLUNTARY notification. (2024-12-19T23:35:01.669) Is the event 2 an inconsistent event? Since we are receiving a notification that means the auto renew was disabled when the subscription was already expired.

How do I finish and track Consumable IAPs with StoreKit 2?
Hi, I'm attempting to use StoreKit 2 and SwiftUI to add a tip jar to my iOS app. I've successfully added consumable IAPs for each of my tip sizes, and used ProductView to show these on my tip jar screen. However, I am at a loss on how to do the following things: How and when do I finish the consumable IAP transaction? I see the finish() function in the documentation, but I am not sure how I can call it given that ProductView is handling the purchase for me (I have no access to a Transaction object). How can I track the amount of consumable IAPs the user has purchased across all their devices? I want to show the user the amount of money they have tipped in total. I have added SKIncludeConsumableInAppPurchaseHistory to my Info.plist and set it to YES as suggested here: https://forums.developer.apple.com/forums/thread/687199 This is my first time using StoreKit 2 (until now, I was using StoreKit 1), so I would really appreciate any advice and guidance you can provide. Thanks!

'NDEF is disallowed' Xcode 16.2
Invalid entitlement for core nfc framework. The sdk version '18.2' and min OS version '14.0' are not compatible for the entitlement 'com.apple.developer.nfc.readersession.formats' because 'NDEF is disallowed'. Anyone knows what is the correct configuration SDK version and minimum iOS deployment target for NFC that has NDEF format?

HCE Entitlement in EEA: Picking the correct category
Hi all, we are a Software company located in the EU. Or focus is building solutions for closed-loop fuel cards. To allow our customers to move to "virtual" closed-loop cards, we would like to request a HCE Entitlement. When filling the HCE entitlement form non of the provided Use Cases seemed to cover our case. In addition I'm unsure if AID Prefixes are mandatory for the closed-loop use case our App is meant for. I would like to avoid starting an HCE entitlement process with incorrect parameters and delay the overall process due to this. Thanks for any insights / feedback in advance.

transferRepresentation for AppEntity containing parameters of multiple types
I have an App Intent that returns a MyEntity value with the following properties: struct MyEntity: AppEntity { @Property(title: "Title") var title: String? @Property(title: "Image") var image: IntentFile? } I created a Shortcut that takes the output value of this intent and passes it as the input to the Send Message action. When I tap the MyEntity parameter in the message action, it shows to be of Type MyEntity. Below that, I can select 1 of 3 options: MyEntity, Title, or Image. When I run the shortcut, a new message compose window appears with the following behavior depending on the selected option: MyEntity - the message draft is empty Title - the message draft shows the title string Image - the message draft shows the image My expected and desired result when MyEntity is selected would be a message draft populated with the image and the title string as text. How would I achieve this? Is it possible? I've experimented with conforming MyEntity to Transferable. That's enabled use cases such as passing the MyEntity input as Type Image for example. Do I need to create a custom UTType to represent MyEntity, or is that unrelated to my issue? I haven't explored this yet but seems potentially related!

Text Completion Not Working - Macbook Pro M4 Pro
Since updating to M4 Pro MBP running MacOS 15.2 and now 15.3 beta, predictive text and auto completion does not show in any apps on my computer. This all worked on previous M3 Pro MBP. Predictive text/auto completion is not working in any Microsoft apps either, and my settings are missing certain elements that my wife's M3 MBP show in Outlook. Any help would be appreciated.

CXCallUpdate not working for outgoing calls
I try to update remoteHandle using CXCallUpdate for outgoing call, but this works only on iOS 15 but not on 17 or 18 (16 didn't test). This problem actual only for outgoing calls, but for incoming calls update works fine. func startOutgoingCall(with callID: UUID, userID: String) { let handle = CXHandle(type: .generic, value: userID) let action = CXStartCallAction(call: callID, handle: handle) callController.requestTransaction(with: action) { [weak self] error in // ... } } func updateOutgoingCall(with callID: UUID, groupID: String) { let update = CXCallUpdate() update.remoteHandle = CXHandle(type: .generic, value: groupID) provider.reportCall(with: callID, updated: update) } I also tried phoneNumber type but it seems initial handle that I set to CXStartCallAction not possible to change (value or even type). I use this handle value to implement recall by tap on call in Recents tab of system address book. But since my calls can transform from p2p to group call, I need to update handle value or find some another way to pass call identification info.

The Map() of IOBufferMemoryDescriptor failure and cause the DriverKit Start() repeat
Hello Everyone, I am trying to develop a DriverKit for RAID system, using PCIDriverKit & SCSIControllerDriverKit framework. The driver can detect the Vendor ID and Device ID. But before communicating to the RAID system, I would like to simulate a virtual Volume using a memory block to talk with macOS. In the UserInitializeController(), I allocated a 512K memory for a IOBufferMemoryDescriptor* volumeBuffer, but fail to use Map() to map memory for volumeBuffer. result = ivars->volumeBuffer->Map( 0, // Options: Use default 0, // Offset: Start of the buffer ivars->volumeSize, // Length: Must not exceed buffer size 0, // Flags: Use default nullptr, // Address space: Default address space &mappedAddress // Output parameter ); Log("Memory mapped completed at address: 0x%llx", mappedAddress); // this line never run The Log for Map completed never run, just restart to run the Start() and makes this Driver re-run again and again, in the end, the driver eat out macOS's memory and system halt. Are the parameters for Map() error? or I should not put this code in UserInitializeController()? Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance. Charles

Screen-time in Device Activity Report Extension vs In Phone Settings
Am showing daily screen-time of a user in my app in Device Activity Report Extension. The only way to get that is to sum up all the activityDuration of apps/categories/domains. But it differs a lot from phone's settings screen-time, why? I have debugged in details and counted manually the time spent on each app and it turned out that the calculation is appearing correctly in my app but Phone settings showing quite less time on top (Day).

My MacOS swift app refuses to close (When running on Monterrey, The app becomes unresponsive after it finishes all its work, and needs to be forcefully closed)
My MacOS swift app [myStuckApp5] refuses to close when running on Monterrey (The app becomes unresponsive after finishing its work, and needs to be forcefully closed). However, it closes as expected when running MacOS 13 and above. How can I troubleshoot this error? I'm attaching the content of the sys Log related to the app while it was stuck (too long to copy here...) This is the content of the related sys Log

macOS app can be excluded from the ‘Screen Time’ statistics?
I am a macOS software developer using Xcode and Objective-C. I have a wallpaper app on the App Store, and recently, a few users have asked if the app can be excluded from the ‘Screen Time’ statistics. Is there a way to allow users to choose whether or not the app should appear in the ‘Screen Time’ tracking? I have already set LSUIElement to YES in the info.plist, but the app is still being tracked in ‘Screen Time.

Business model changes by using the app transaction
Hello, I’m trying to change my business model within the app, and following Apple’s documentation guidelines HERE I created this task in the main view of the app. It seems to work perfectly in the simulator, on physical devices, and on TestFlight. However, after releasing it to production and uploading the new version to the App Store, it doesn’t work, and all users, whether new or existing, are asked to subscribe. In the console, it appears to retrieve the transactions correctly, but in production, I’m not sure how to view the console or see what it’s retrieving. Here the sandbox receipt I obtained AppTransaction.shared obtained: { "applicationVersion" : "1", "bundleId" : "com.anestesiaIB.Drugs-Infusion-Calc", "deviceVerification" : "6M0Nnw14nSEOBVTPE\/\/EfnWSwLm7LFSlrpFEwxgH74SBHp5dSzBEm896Uvo42mwr", "deviceVerificationNonce" : "8a8238c0-0aee-41e6-bfb0-1cfc52b70fb6", "originalApplicationVersion" : "1.0", "originalPurchaseDate" : 1375340400000, "receiptCreationDate" : 1737577840917, "receiptType" : "Sandbox", "requestDate" : 1737577840917 } This are the processing log while verified the receipt New business model change: 1.7 Original versionéis components: ["1", "0"] Major version: 1, Minor version: 0 This user is premium. Original version: 1.0 This is my task... .task { do { let shared = try await AppTransaction.shared if case .verified(let appTransaction) = shared { let newBusinessModelVersion = (1, 7) // Representado como (major, minor) let versionComponents = appTransaction.originalAppVersion.split(separator: ".") if let majorVersion = versionComponents.first.flatMap({ Int($0) }), let minorVersion = versionComponents.dropFirst().first.flatMap({ Int($0) }) { if (majorVersion, minorVersion) < newBusinessModelVersion { self.premiumStatus.isPremium = true isPremium = true } else { let customerInfo = try await Purchases.shared.customerInfo() self.premiumStatus.isPremium = customerInfo.entitlements["premium"]?.isActive == true isPremium = self.premiumStatus.isPremium } } else { print("Error: obteining version components") } } else { print("Not verified") } } catch { print("Error processing transaction: \(error.localizedDescription)") } }

Verify Receipt is not found - After successful payment for Annual subscription.
The application is developed with Xamarin Framework and it is live now. The customer installed the app and purchased the annual subscription. And for some reason, they uninstall and reinstall the application on the same device. Now user wants to restore the subscription. In the application, there is an option to Restore the subscription. But restore API not return purchase details. But when clicking the subscription button instead of restoring the subscription, it says you subscribed to this plan". is there any possibility of not getting VerifyRecipt even after a successful purchase?

Apple Push Notification service server certificate update
You are probably aware of the upcoming root certificate change for any servers you might have that you use to send push notifications by connection to APNs. If you are not, here is the announcement. We have been getting some questions about this, and understand not everyone is familiar with their server setup. First, we would like to clarify that this is only a change to your server's certificate trust store. You do not need to update anything else, like your APNs push certificates, the build certificates and provisioning profiles for your team/app, and so on. All you need to do is to install the mentioned new root certificate to your push server's trust store. If you are using a 3rd party push provider, it is them who will need to handle their servers. But you may want to double check with them nevertheless. If you are managing your own push servers that connect to APNs directly, then it is your responsibility to download and install the root certificate mentioned in the above link on your server(s). Unfortunately we cannot provide specific instructions on how to install this root certificate on every kind of server out there. Each server operating system/push server software will have different ways these root certificates are installed, which is out of scope of our support abilities. If you are not sure how to do this, I would recommend you seek help for this from your server-side developers or server admins. Or, if you don't have access to such resources, you can ask the support channels for your system the question: How do I install a root certificate? We have setup a test server at 17.188.143.34:443 that you can use to try and send pushes to test whether your new root certificate is correctly installed. An alternative way to test this would be, from a terminal prompt: openssl s_client -connect 17.188.143.34:443 -servername api.sandbox.push.apple.com -verifyCAfile USERTrustRSACertificationAuthority.crt -showcerts Change the parameter to the -verifyCAfile argument to point to your trust store, and it should allow you to validate Sample return results would be: Connecting to 17.188.143.34 CONNECTED(00000003) depth=2 C=US, ST=New Jersey, L=Jersey City, O=The USERTRUST Network, CN=USERTrust RSA Certification Authority verify return:1 depth=1 CN=Apple Public Server RSA CA 11 - G1, O=Apple Inc., ST=California, C=US verify return:1 depth=0 C=US, ST=California, O=Apple Inc., CN=api.sandbox.push.apple.com verify return:1 Argun Tekant /  DTS Engineer / Core Technologies

Request Array with AppIntent
Hi everyone, i'm trying to request in a AppIntent an array of strings. But I want to give the user the chance to add more than one String. Yet, I do it so: import AppIntent struct AddHomework: AppIntent { // some Parameters @Parameter(title: "Tasks") var tasks: [String]? @Parameter(title: "New Task") //Only for the special request var input: String? private func collectTasks() async throws -> [String] { var collectedTasks: [String] = tasks ?? [] while true { if !collectedTasks.isEmpty { let addMore = try await $input.requestConfirmation(for: "Möchtest du noch eine Aufgabe hinzufügen?") if !addMore { break } } let newTask = try await $input.requestValue("Please enter your task:") collectedTasks.append(newTask) } return collectedTasks } @MainActor func perform() async throws -> some IntentResult { let finalTasks = try await collectTasks() // some more code return .result() } } But this is not working. The Shortcut is ending without requesting anything. But it is not crashing. I would thankfully for some help.
