Device: iPhone 17 Series
System: iOS 26.0.0
Wi-Fi: TKIP encryption protocol
Question: Unable to join the network
We have several products that are used by connecting to iPhone via Wi-Fi.
Recently, many customers who have purchased the iPhone 17 series have reported that they are unable to connect to Wi-Fi.
For Wi-Fi with TKIP encryption, after entering the password correctly to connect to the Wi-Fi, a pop-up appears stating "Unable to join the network.".
Only Wi-Fi with WPA2-AES can be used normally.
Before that, during the iPhone 11 era or even earlier, the TKIP encryption method was in normal use. However, the new iPhone models were incompatible with it, which obviously caused great inconvenience.
I hope the engineers can fix this issue to support Wi-Fi with older encryption protocols.

Hello,
Our Xcode Cloud builds are successfully archiving but fail every time during the "Export archive for app-store distribution" step. The issue appears to be a persistent authentication failure with App Store Connect that we are unable to resolve.
Primary Error:
The build logs show a critical authentication failure.
IDEDistribution.critical.log shows: App Store Connect request for store configuration failed for account Session Proxy Provider... Unable to authenticate with App Store Connect.
DVTITunesSoftwareService.log specifies the error is DVTITunesSoftwareServiceFoundation.DVTServicesSessionProviderCredentialITunesAuthenticationContextError.proxy.
The build process eventually terminates during the IDEDistributionSymbolsStep with an Rsync failed error, which we believe is a symptom of the earlier authentication failure.
Troubleshooting Already Performed:
We have already taken the following steps without success:
Verified the account used for the integration has "Account Holder" and "Admin" roles.
Confirmed that Xcode Cloud's automatic signing is working correctly and is able to create new provisioning profiles.
Thoroughly checked the App Store Connect web UI under Users and Access > Integrations > Xcode Cloud for a way to reset the connection, but no such option exists.
Removed and re-added the Apple ID in the Xcode application's settings (Xcode > Settings > Accounts) on a local Mac.
Our hypothesis is that the integrated authentication session between Xcode Cloud and App Store Connect is invalid or stale, and there is no user-facing way to reset it.
Has anyone else encountered this "Session Proxy Provider" authentication error with Xcode Cloud? Is there a known solution or a different method to force a re-authentication of the service connection?
Any guidance from Apple engineers or other developers would be greatly appreciated.

Greetings.I have an app today that uses multipeer connectivity extensively. Currently, when the user switches away from the app, MPC disconnects the session(s) - this is by design apparently (per other feedback). I'd like to hear if anyone has experimented with iOS9 multitasking / multipeer and whether MPC sessions can stay alive?Thanks

Hi everyone,
We’re running into a serious issue with App Clip Experience updates not propagating to devices, and I’m hoping someone here has encountered (or solved) this before.
Problem
Once an App Clip Experience is created and used on devices, subsequent updates made in App Store Connect do not reflect on any devices, even after a long period of time.
We’ve tried:
• Updating the App Clip Experience URL (adding utm parameters, for example, utm_source and scanning via QR code)
• Modifying Experience metadata/content
• Waiting several days (over a week)
• Testing on multiple devices (including devices that never opened the App Clip before)
Despite this, the App Clip continues to show the initially created content, while App Store Connect clearly shows the updated configuration.
Important Details
• We currently have ~1,300 App Clip Experiences created
• All App Clips use the same App Clip Bundle ID
• The content behind the URLs updates correctly on the website
• Only the App Clip continues to show stale / initial data
• Removing and re-invoking the App Clip on devices does not consistently fix the issue
At this point, manual updates via App Store Connect appear to be completely ignored once the App Clip is “established.”
Questions
1. Is there a known hard cache or CDN behavior on Apple’s side that prevents App Clip Experience updates from propagating?
2. Is there any way to invalidate or refresh an existing App Clip Experience?
3. Does having a large number of App Clip Experiences (~1300) affect update behavior or caching?
4. Is the recommended approach to treat App Clip Experience as immutable and handle all updates via backend / dynamic content only?
Right now it feels like:
App Clip Experience is effectively a one-time snapshot and not a live-updatable configuration.
Any insights, confirmations, or official guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
using Version 26.2 (17C52) I often get
"Trace file had no SwiftUI data"
why so?
I’m facing an issue in our native iOS app that occurs specifically on iOS 26.1 (not observed on any lower versions). When I update a @State field value, the UI does not reflect the change as expected.
The @State variable updates internally, but the view does not re-render.
This behaviour started after upgrading to iOS 26.1.
Works fine on iOS 26.0 and earlier versions.
Has anyone else encountered this issue or found a workaround? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hi,
This is my first time notarizing an app with Developer ID.
I have submitted multiple notarization requests, and all of them have been
stuck in "In Progress" status. The oldest one was submitted over 24 hours ago.
Is this normal for first-time submissions?
How long should I wait before contacting support?
Thanks!

Using SwiftUI on macOS, how can I add a toolbar item on the right-most (trailing) edge of the window's toolbar when an Inspector is used?
At the moment, the toolbar items are all left-of (leading) the split view tracking separator. I want the inspector toolbar item to be placed similar to where Xcode's Inspector toolbar item is placed: always as far right (trailing) as possible.
NavigationSplitView {
// ... snip
} detail: {
// ... snip
}
.inspector(isPresented: $isInspectorPresented) {
InspectorContentView()
}
.toolbar {
// What is the correct placement value here?
ToolbarItem(placement: .primaryAction) {
Button {
isInspectorPresented.toggle()
} label: {
Label("Toggle Inspector", systemImage: "sidebar.trailing")
}
}
}
See the attached screenshot. When the InspectorView is toggled open, the toolbar item tracks leading the split view tracking separator, which is not consistent with how Xcode works.
Hello to all
I have coded in swift a headless app, that launches 3 go microservices and itself. The app listens via unix domain sockets for commands from the microservices and executes different VPN related operations, using the NEVPNManager extension. Because there are certificates and VPN operations, the headless app and two Go microservices must run as root.
The app and microservices run perfectly when I run in Xcode launching the swift app as root. However, I have been trying for some weeks already to modify the application so at startup it requests the password and runs as root or something similar, so all forked apps also run as root. I have not succeeded. I have tried many things, the last one was using SMApp but as the swift app is a headless app and not a CLI command app it can not be embedded. And CLI apps can not get the VPN entitlements. Can anybody please give me some pointers how can I launch the app so it requests the password and runs as root in background or what is the ideal framework here? thank you again.
I'm looking for advice or anyone who's experienced similar delays with nonprofit developer account enrollments.
Timeline:
In mid-September, we had some initial email validation issues during our nonprofit organization enrollment. Senior Advisor Kevin (case 102691832489) resolved those issues and cleared us to continue enrollment on September 16-17.
We continued immediately on September 17th, and our status changed to "Your enrollment is being processed" with enrollment ID UH4UT85YS3.
It's now been 28 days with no status changes, no requests for additional information, and no timeline.
Follow-up attempts:
I've called support three times (Sept 19, 26, and Oct 7). Each time I was told the application is "with a separate department they can't contact." They created additional cases but couldn't provide any updates or access to the reviewing team.
Questions for the community:
Is 28 days normal for nonprofit enrollment processing after continuing? Has anyone found a way to get status updates when regular support can't access the reviewing team? Is there a specific escalation path for nonprofit accounts that differs from standard enrollments?
We're a 501(c)(3) church launching an app for a capital campaign, so the delay is starting to impact our timeline. Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Details:
Enrollment ID: UH4UT85YS3
Organization Type: Nonprofit 501(c)(3)
Continued enrollment: Sept 17, 2025
Current status: "Your enrollment is being processed"
Thanks in advance for any guidance.
I’m implementing StoreKit External Purchase Custom Links (EU) and so far it is really painful. I am running into a strange, device-specific issue. On 3/4 devices it works. On one device I never get a token at launch nor before a transaction. isEligible is true everywhere. All devices have versions 18.5 and are located in Germany.
Info.plist: SKExternalPurchaseCustomLinkRegions is set to EU storefront codes and I have followed every step in the documentation: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/externalpurchasecustomlink
Good device: At launch → ACQUISITION = nil, SERVICES = token present. Works consistently.
Faulty device: At launch → ACQUISITION = nil, SERVICES = nil. Same before transaction. No token ever reaches my server from this device.
isEligible is true on both devices.
Any experts or help on the matter?

I am requesting assistance with an issue involving my Advanced App Clip Experience, which has remained in the “Received” state for more than few months, preventing the App Clip from becoming available when invoked via QR code.
App Details
App Name: Yellow Label Verification
App Store Bundle ID: com.acviss.demoindia
App Clip Bundle ID: com.acviss.demoindia.Clip
Team ID: F2RLQ4VV59
App Version (Live): 1.4
Domain: acviss.com
Issue Summary
My Advanced App Clip Experience is stuck in the “Received” status. The “Publish” and “Build Assignment” options never appear, even though:
The updated AASA file is correctly published at:
https://acviss.com/.well-known/apple-app-site-association
It contains the correct appclips → appID and paths entries
It is served with the correct application/json content type
Domain validation in App Store Connect shows Validated
The App Clip build is already approved and live on the App Store
Safari-based App Clip invocation works as expected
Despite this, the Advanced App Clip Experience has not transitioned from “Received” to “Processing” or “Published.”
Because of this, QR-based invocation consistently shows “App Clip Unavailable”, indicating that the App Clip Experience has not yet been activated on Apple’s backend.
Reproduction Steps
Publish correct AASA file with appclips array and paths
Validate domain (shows green “Validated” in App Store Connect)
Open the Advanced App Clip Experience in App Store Connect
Status stays as Received
“Build Assignment” or “Publish” buttons never appear
QR scanning of the App Clip URL continues to show App Clip Unavailable
Request
Could you please check the backend processing of my App Clip Experience and manually trigger the sync or processing
It appears that the App Clip Experience is not being processed even though all configuration, AASA, and domain validations are correct. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this so the App Clip can be invoked successfully via QR.
Thank you very much for your help and support.
I've been trying to have an app I've built notarized by Apple. The processing hangs there for hours just waiting.
I even tried with a tiny 1KB test file, it has been stuck for 25+ minutes, and I have 7 real submissions stuck for 24+ hours.
Any Apple representative can help please? I need to publish and release my app asap.

In the verifyReceipt API response, there is a "is_trial_period" field.
As detailed in WWDC 2023 the verifyReceipt is deprecated, how to fetch the fact that the subscription is during the free trial period via recommended App Store server APIs?

hi,
When changing the map to Satellite in Apple Maps and centering it on Ōmuta City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan (as shown in the image), the app crashes when swiping to the right. This issue also occurs in MapKit, and I confirmed it happens in Apple Maps as well. It seems that either the satellite map tiles are missing or an error is occurring.
Our application is experiencing a crash, and this has become a serious issue.
Since September 1, crashes have increased significantly. Initially, we suspected that the issue was due to our application’s implementation, but our investigation revealed that the problem lies with the map tiles being called through MapKit.
Could you please investigate this issue and provide a fix?
We set the CVDisplayLink on macOS to 0 or 120, and get the following. This then clamps maximum refresh to 60Hz on the 120Hz ProMotion display on a MBP M2 Max laptop. How is this not fixed in 4 macOS releases?
CoreVideo: currentVBLDelta returned 200000 for display 1 -- ignoring unreasonable value
CoreVideo: [0x7fe2fb816020] Bad CurrentVBLDelta for display 1 is zero. defaulting to 60Hz.
Hello,
As far as I know and in all of my testing there is no way for a user or a developer to change the frame rate of the video output on iPadOS. If you connect an iPad via a USB Hub or a USB to HDMI Adaptor and then connect it to an external monitor it will output at 59.94fps.
I have a video app where a user monitors live video at 25fps and 30fps, they often output to an external display and there are times when the external display will stutter due to the mismatch in frame rate, ie. using 25fps and outputting at 59.94fps.
I thought it was impossible to change the video output frame rate, then in V3.1 of the Blackmagic Camera App I saw an interesting change in their release notes:
‘Support for HDMI Monitoring at Sensor Rate and Resolution’
This means there is some way to modify it, not sure if this is done via a Private API that Apple has allowed Blackmagic to use. If so, how can we access this or is there a way to enable this that is undocumented?
Thanks!
I am trying to perform swiftUI instrumentation on my ios app. whenever i hit the rocord button, the app launches on target device and closes with the error:
Failed to start the recording: Failed starting ktrace session.
How do i resolve this please?
I'm making a wrapper library to abstract away some of the 'missing platform support' of DeclaredAgeRange until hopefully it expands to additional platforms.
When I'm trying to fully enumerate all of the cases of AgeRangeDeclaration, which they all state available starting 26.0 (mysteriously added in Xcode 26.2 beta), the app crashes due to a missing symbol at launch time. This happens both for Xcode 26.1, 26.2 beta 2, and matching Xcode Cloud builds. So I've isolated it beyond "doesn't work on my machine".
I just made a handful of crashes and attached a sysdiagnose to a fresh feedback.
FB21121092 - DeclaredAgeRange: Eligibility property and new declaration cases unavailable on iOS 26.1 device contradicting documentation - causes runtime symbol not found crash
If anyone is curious what these crashes look like I've attached the DiagnosticPayload.jsonRepresentation() generated from one of my favorite frameworks, MetricKit.
Very clearly articulated in the diagnostic metadata you can see the symbol not found.

For what it is worth, the same is also true for isEligibleForAgeFeatures which I suspect was also added to Xcode 26.2 somehow but not made available to real devices running [26.0 - 26.2).
As a side note, thank you for this property, it will let me check what states I need to perform extra checks for in a clean way, I just will need it to now not crash my app on 26.0 and 26.1 runtime devices. :)
Edit:
DTS did confirm on a comment I had in another thread that this is a bug. Now just to wait for an Xcode beta update. https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/807906?answerId=867205022#867205022
In any case, this is a great example of how MetricKit totally rocks capturing things other off the shelf crash tools might not have a chance to get. I did have to roll back my TestFlight to an earlier build, but MetricKit was there to send me the previous crashes as soon as the app could launch. Thanks MetricKit team!

I have a binary executable which needs to be given Accessibility Permissions so it can inject keypresses and mouse moves. This was always possible up to macOS 15 - when the first keypress arrived the Accessibility Permissions window would open and allow me to add the executable. However this no longer works in macOS 26: the window still opens, I navigate to the executable file and select it but it doesn't appear in the list. No error message appears.
I'm guessing that this may be due to some tightening of security in Tahoe but I need to figure out what to change with my executable to allow it to work.
