Family Controls Entitlement NOT applied to App Extensions (and Support Form is broken)

Hello,

I am facing a critical issue where the Family Controls (Distribution) entitlement is not being applied to my app extensions, despite the main app ID being approved.

  • Main App ID: com.hayashikento.focuspact (Approved on March 13)
  • Extension ID 1: com.hayashikento.focuspact.ShieldActionExtension (Pending/Not visible)
  • Extension ID 2: com.hayashikento.focuspact.ShieldConfigurationExtension (Pending/Not visible)

I have submitted requests multiple times, but the entitlement does not appear in the "Capability Requests" for these extensions in the Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles portal.

Furthermore, I am unable to contact Developer Support because the "Contact Us" form on the developer website consistently shows a "Request error" or freezes on the submission page.

Since I am completely blocked from TestFlight distribution, could someone from Apple please look into my account (Team ID: UHG4J7F7NH) and manually sync these entitlements?

Thank you for your help.

@FocusPact_Support

Thank you for your patience while we are looking into your issue.

Thank you for looking into this.

I have identified the root cause of the issue: it is a Bundle ID case-sensitivity mismatch. My parent app was approved as com.hayashikento.FocusPact (Capitalized), but I accidentally requested the Configuration Extension with a lowercase ID (com.hayashikento.focuspact...). This causes a "Prefix Mismatch" error in Xcode, preventing me from archiving the app.

To fix this, I have just submitted a new entitlement request with the corrected capitalized ID: com.hayashikento.FocusPact.ShieldConfigurationExtension

Since the core functionality was already approved under the lowercase ID, could you please expedite the approval for this capitalized version? This technical correction is the only thing blocking my TestFlight distribution.

Thank you for your support!

@FocusPact_Support

Your issue should be resolved. Let us know if that isn't the case.

Dear Apple Entitlements Team,

My app "FocusPact" (Bundle ID: com.hayashikento.FocusPact) has already been approved for the Family Controls (Distribution) entitlement.

To resolve a critical bug where restricted apps remain unlocked after the user's "Pact" period ends, I have implemented a DeviceActivityMonitorExtension. This extension is essential for the app's core functionality to re-enable shields automatically.

Could you please authorize the following new Bundle ID for the same Family Controls (Distribution) entitlement?

New Extension ID: com.hayashikento.FocusPact.FocusPActMonitor

Parent App ID: com.hayashikento.FocusPact

Thank you for your continued support in helping me complete my MVP.

Sincerely, Kent Hayashi

Could you please authorize the following new Bundle ID for the same Family Controls (Distribution) entitlement?New Extension ID: com.hayashikento.FocusPact.FocusPActMonitorParent App ID: com.hayashikento.FocusPact

Did you submit a new request for the com.hayashikento.FocusPact.FocusPActMonitor bundle ID?

Dear DTS Engineer,

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, I have already submitted a new request form for the DeviceActivityMonitorExtension today.

Please note that the correct Bundle ID is com.hayashikento.FocusPact.FocusPActMonitor .

Since my parent app (com.hayashikento.FocusPact) has already been approved for the Family Controls entitlement, I would appreciate it if you could link this new extension ID to my existing approval so I can proceed with Distribution/TestFlight testing.

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards, Kent Hayashi
