Logged error/warning in FigCaptureSourceRemote when capturing a photo
I'm using this library: https://github.com/Yummypets/YPImagePicker to capture photos. I've modified it slightly, and I'm using an older version. When testing on my iPhone 16e, ios 26, whenever I take a photo, I get the following two error messages: <<<< FigXPCUtilities >>>> signalled err=-17281 at <>:302 <<<< FigCaptureSourceRemote >>>> Fig assert: "err == 0 " at bail (FigCaptureSourceRemote.m:569) - (err=-17281) These error messages appear, but as far as I can tell, the photo comes through OK, and I can save the data no problem. I've even removed all my handling code to see if it was something I was doing. I don't really want to ship with these errors showing, but I also have no idea what can be causing this error to appear. chatgpt was not helpful diagnosing this. Does anyone know what can cause this error Is there a way I can see the source code to figure out if there's something I'm doing wrong here? It really seems like this is an internal apple error, or else I would have expected more details on the error relating to the code I've written. Any clues would be appreciated!

Apple’s age rating deadline: will apps be blocked after 31 Jan 2026?
Apple sent a final reminder asking developers to complete the updated age rating questions in App Store Connect. Final reminder: Answer the updated age ratings questions. We’re reaching out because you have not provided responses to the updated age ratings questions in the App Information section of your app in App Store Connect. If you don’t answer these questions by January 31, 2026, you won’t be able to submit app updates in App Store Connect. The email says that if the age rating questions are not answered by 31 January 2026, you will not be able to submit app updates. What is not clear is what actually happens after that date. Many of us are in the middle of development and may not be ready to submit a new build before the deadline. The email does not explain whether this means: A) You can still submit updates after 31 January 2026, as long as you complete the age rating questionnaire before submitting, or B) The app becomes locked and cannot be updated at all once the deadline passes This is not stated explicitly in the email, which makes it confusing for me. It would be helpful if Apple could clearly confirm what developers should expect after 31 January 2026, especially for apps that are still undergoing active development. Anyone knows?

New Virtualization features in macOS Tahoe
I'm pleased to share some significant updates that have recently been released for our Hypervisor and Virtualization frameworks. We've focused on enhancing efficiency, expanding capabilities, and addressing common developer needs. I believe these will be valuable for many of you. Here’s a look at what’s new: Hypervisor Updates We've introduced support for configuring the intermediate physical address (IPA) memory granularity of a VM. This allows for more granular memory mappings, enabling granularity sizes down to 4KB. This is particularly useful for certain specialized device drivers requiring finer memory control. Virtualization Framework Updates More Efficient VM Image Storage with ASIF: We've integrated support for the Apple Sparse Image Format (ASIF). This results in a smaller disk footprint and optimized transfer for VM disk images when using VZDiskImageStorageDeviceAttachment, improving storage efficiency. Custom Network Topologies with vmnet: We've added support for vmnet custom network topologies. This enables more flexible VM-to-VM communication based on logical networks with customized configurations, useful for complex testing or development environments. See VZVmnetNetworkDeviceAttachment to get started. Simplified VM Queue Discovery: It's now easier to discover a VM’s on-process thanks to a new property on VZVirtualMachine. This should aid in development and debugging when interacting directly with the VM's queue. These are some of the key highlights of the first beta, and I'm looking forward to seeing how these improvements will be utilized. I encourage you to explore the documentation for full details on these features.

Swipe to go back still broken with Zoom navigation transition.
When you use .navigationTransition(.zoom(sourceID: "placeholder", in: placehoder)) for navigation animation, going back using the swipe gesture is still very buggy on IOS26. I know it has been mentioned in other places like here: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/796805?answerId=856846022#856846022 but nothing seems to have been done to fix this issue. Here is a video showing the bug comparing when the back button is used vs swipe to go back: https://imgur.com/a/JgEusRH I wish there was a way to at least disable the swipe back gesture until this bug is fixed.

SKTestSession.setSimulatedError() not working for .loadProducts API in iOS 26.2
Description SKTestSession.setSimulatedError() does not throw the configured error when testing StoreKit with the .loadProducts API in iOS 26.2. The simulated error is ignored, and products load successfully instead. Environment iOS: 26.2 (Simulator) Xcode: 26.2 beta 2 (Build 17C5038g) macOS: 15.6.1 Framework: StoreKitTest Testing Framework: Swift Testing base project: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/StoreKit/implementing-a-store-in-your-app-using-the-storekit-api Expected Behavior After calling session.setSimulatedError(.generic(.notAvailableInStorefront), forAPI: .loadProducts), the subsequent call to Product.products(for:) should throw StoreKitError.notAvailableInStorefront. Actual Behavior The error is not thrown. Products load successfully as if setSimulatedError() was never called. Steps to Reproduce Create an SKTestSession with a StoreKit configuration file Call session.setSimulatedError(.generic(.notAvailableInStorefront), forAPI: .loadProducts) Call Product.products(for:) with a valid product ID Observe that no error is thrown and the product loads successfully Sample Code import StoreKitTest import Testing struct SKDemoTests { let productID: String = "plus.standard" @Test func testSimulatedErrorForLoadProducts() async throws { let storeKitConfigURL = try Self.getStoreKitConfigurationURL() let session = try SKTestSession(contentsOf: storeKitConfigURL) try await session.setSimulatedError( .generic(.notAvailableInStorefront), forAPI: .loadProducts ) try await confirmation("StoreKitError throw") { throwStoreKitError in do { _ = try await Self.execute(productID: productID) } catch let error as StoreKitError { guard case StoreKitError.notAvailableInStorefront = error else { throw error } throwStoreKitError() } catch { Issue.record( "Expect StoreKitError. Error: \(error.localizedDescription)" ) } } #expect(session.allTransactions().isEmpty) } static func execute(productID: String) async throws { guard let product = try await Product.products(for: [productID]).first( where: { $0.id == productID }) else { throw NSError( domain: "SKDemoTests", code: 404, userInfo: [NSLocalizedDescriptionKey: "Product not found for ID: \(productID)"] ) } _ = product } static func getStoreKitConfigurationURL() throws -> URL { guard let bundle = Bundle(identifier: "your.bundle.identifier"), let url = bundle.url(forResource: "Products", withExtension: "storekit") else { fatalError("StoreKit configuration not found") } return url } } Test Result The test fails because the expected StoreKitError.notAvailableInStorefront is never thrown. Question Is this a known issue in iOS 26.2 / Xcode 26.2 beta 2, or is there a different approach required for simulating errors with SKTestSession in this version? Any guidance would be appreciated. FileProvider fails to trigger re-enumeration
I'm working on a FileProvider which allows access to encrypted files in Dropbox; I can successfully read and present the decrypted files, so I know it's basically working. But I'm having problems getting FileProvider to re-enumerate a folder when its encryption status changes. When the FileProvider receives an update notification saying a folder is now encrypted, I use signalEnumerator to re-enumerate the folder: FileProviderExtension.manager?.signalEnumerator(for: existingItem.itemIdentifier, completionHandler: { (ourError : Error?) -> Void in       if let ourError = ourError {           log("notifyCallback: mount / unmount failed re-enumeration: \(ourError)")       } else {           log("notifyCallback: mount / unmount signalled re-enumeration; pending")       } }) The log reports that the re-enumeration is pending... but as far as I can tell, neither enumerateItems nor enumerateChanges is called on the folder's item unless a Finder window is actually open for that folder. This means that, when an app other than Finder tries to access the files through the filesystem, it doesn't see the updated set of filenames. (For further reference: I've added code to both enumerateItems and enumerateChanges, so that if the call has been triggered by a recent folder-encryption notification, it retrieves a complete set of items from the Dropbox folder. If a retrieved file has an encrypted filename, it reports it as a modified item and returns its filename in-clear; if the filename isn't encrypted, it doesn't return the item (for enumerateItems) or returns it as a deleted item (for enumerateChanges). This approach seems to work successfully for listing folders with a constant state; it's only if the user encrypts / decrypts a folder without currently having a Finder window open inside that folder that I'm not seeing a refresh.) Any advice on how I can force a re-enumeration without a Finder window currently being displayed?

Reoccurring World Tracking / Scene Exceeded Limit Error
Hi, We’ve been successfully using the RoomPlan API in our application for over two years. Recently, however, users have reported encountering persistent capture errors during their sessions. Specifically, the errors observed are: CaptureError.worldTrackingFailure CaptureError.exceedSceneSizeLimit What we have observed: Persistent Errors: The errors continue to occur even after initiating new capture sessions. Normal Usage: Our implementation adheres to typical usage patterns of the RoomPlan API without exceeding any documented room size limits. Limited Feature Usage: We are not utilizing the WorldTracking feature for the StructureBuilder functionality to stitch rooms together. Potential State Caching: Given that these errors persist across sessions, we suspect that there might be memory or state cached between sessions that is not being cleared, particularly since we are not taking advantage of StructureBuilder. Request: Could you please advise if there is any internal caching or memory retention between capture sessions that might lead to these errors? Additionally, we would appreciate guidance on how to clear or manage this state when the StructureBuilder feature is not in use. Here is a generalised version of our capture session initialization code to help diagnose the issue. struct RoomARCaptureView: UIViewRepresentable { typealias Handler = (CapturedRoom, Error?) -> Void @Binding var stop: Bool @Binding var done: Bool let completion: Handler? func makeUIView(context: Self.Context) -> RoomCaptureView { let view = RoomCaptureView(frame: .zero) view.delegate = context.coordinator view.captureSession.run(configuration: .init()) return view } func updateUIView(_ uiView: RoomCaptureView, context: Self.Context) { if stop { // Stop the session only once, multiple times causes issues with the final presentation uiView.captureSession.stop() stop = false done = true } } static func dismantleUIView(_ uiView: RoomCaptureView, coordinator: Self.Coordinator) { uiView.captureSession.stop() } func makeCoordinator() -> ARViewCoordinator { ARViewCoordinator(completion) } @objc(ARViewCoordinator) class ARViewCoordinator: NSObject, RoomCaptureViewDelegate { var completion: Handler? public required init?(coder: NSCoder) {} public func encode(with coder: NSCoder) {} public init(_ completion: Handler?) { super.init() self.completion = completion } public func captureView(shouldPresent roomDataForProcessing: CapturedRoomData, error: (Error)?) -> Bool { return true } public func captureView(didPresent processedResult: CapturedRoom, error: (Error)?) { completion?(processedResult, error) } } } Thank you for your assistance.

OTP AutoFill Fails to Distribute Code Across Multiple UITextFields on iOS 26.x
Issue Summary: On iOS 26.0.1 to 26.3, apps using multiple UITextFields for OTP input face a critical issue where the system autofill pastes the entire OTP string into a single text field, usually the focused one, rather than splitting digits across fields. Delegate events like textDidChange: do not trigger consistently on autofill, breaking existing input handling logic. Expected Behavior: OTP autofill should distribute each digit correctly across all OTP UITextFields. Delegate or control events should fire on autofill to enable manual handling. (BOOL)textField:(UITextField *)textField shouldChangeCharactersInRange:(NSRange)range replacementString:(NSString *)string { if (string.length > 1) { // Autofill detected - distribute OTP manually for (int i = 0; i < string.length && i < self.arrayOTPText.count; i++) { UITextField *field = self.arrayOTPText[i]; field.text = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%c", [string characterAtIndex:i]]; } UITextField *lastField = self.arrayOTPText[string.length - 1]; [lastField becomeFirstResponder]; return NO; } // Handle normal single character or deletion input here return YES; } // // Setup UITextFields - set .oneTimeCode on first field only for (int i = 0; i < self.arrayOTPText.count; i++) { UITextField *field = self.arrayOTPText[i]; field.delegate = self; if (@available(iOS 12.0, *)) { field.textContentType = (i == 0) ? UITextContentTypeOneTimeCode : UITextContentTypeNone; } } What We’ve Tried: Setting textContentType properly. Handling OTP distribution in delegate method. Verifying settings and keyboard use. Testing on multiple iOS 26.x versions. Impact: Major usability degradation during OTP entry. Forces fragile workarounds. Inconsistent autofill reduces user confidence. Request: Request Apple fix OTP autofill to natively support multi-field UITextField OTP input or provide enhanced delegate callbacks for consistent behavior. Did any one face this issue in recent time with iOS 26.0.1 to 26.3 beta version

Nonprofit Enrollment 28 Days in "Processing" After Continuing - UH4UT85YS3
I'm looking for advice or anyone who's experienced similar delays with nonprofit developer account enrollments. Timeline: In mid-September, we had some initial email validation issues during our nonprofit organization enrollment. Senior Advisor Kevin (case 102691832489) resolved those issues and cleared us to continue enrollment on September 16-17. We continued immediately on September 17th, and our status changed to "Your enrollment is being processed" with enrollment ID UH4UT85YS3. It's now been 28 days with no status changes, no requests for additional information, and no timeline. Follow-up attempts: I've called support three times (Sept 19, 26, and Oct 7). Each time I was told the application is "with a separate department they can't contact." They created additional cases but couldn't provide any updates or access to the reviewing team. Questions for the community: Is 28 days normal for nonprofit enrollment processing after continuing? Has anyone found a way to get status updates when regular support can't access the reviewing team? Is there a specific escalation path for nonprofit accounts that differs from standard enrollments? We're a 501(c)(3) church launching an app for a capital campaign, so the delay is starting to impact our timeline. Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Details: Enrollment ID: UH4UT85YS3 Organization Type: Nonprofit 501(c)(3) Continued enrollment: Sept 17, 2025 Current status: "Your enrollment is being processed" Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Does BGAppRefreshTask Run After a User Force-Quits the App? Seeking Official Clarification
I’m looking for an authoritative answer on how BGAppRefreshTask behaves after a user force-quits an app (swipes it away in the App Switcher). My app relies on early-morning background refresh to prepare and schedule notifications based on user-defined thresholds and weather forecasts. Behavior across devices seems inconsistent, however: sometimes a scheduled background refresh still runs, and other times it appears completely blocked. Apple’s documentation doesn’t clearly state what should happen, and developer discussions conflict. Could someone from Apple please clarify: Will a previously scheduled BGAppRefreshTask run after the user force-quits the app? If not, is there a recommended alternative for time-sensitive updates that must schedule user alerts? What is the expected system behavior regarding the predictability of background refresh after a force-quit? A definitive answer would help ensure the app aligns with intended system behavior. Thanks!

Xcode Cloud fails while exporting archive
Hi, Since Xcode 26.2 beta 1, till now (I thought RC or actual release will solve this issue) I have problems exporting archive to appstore via Xcode Cloud (locally everything works and using Xcode 26.2 I was able to submit app to AppStore). Attributes inspector in Xcode 26
It has been two years since I wrote my a SwiftUI app, and I wanted to start again in Xcode 26. I can no longer see the attributes inspector when I select an element in the canvas. This was an Xcode feature that was very helpful as I am still a novice. Has this feature been deprecated in Xcode 26? And if not, please help explain how I can find and use it.

iOS 26.1 PHPickerConfiguration.preselectedAssetIdentifiers doesn't select previous pictures in the PHPickerViewController
Hi, I faced with the issue on iOS 26.1 with PHPickerViewController. After first selection I save assetIdentifier of PHPickerResult for images. next time I open the picker I expect to have the images selected based on assetIdentifier Code: var config = PHPickerConfiguration(photoLibrary: .shared()) config.selectionLimit = 10 config.filter = .images config.preselectedAssetIdentifiers = images.compactMap(\.assetID) let picker = PHPickerViewController(configuration: config) picker.delegate = self present(picker, animated: true) But on iOS 26.1 they aren't selected. On lower iOS version all works fine. Does anybody faced with similar issue?

Apple's PCC + Foundation Models
Hi, I am developing an iOS application that utilizes Apple’s Foundation Models to perform certain summarization tasks. I would like to understand whether user data is transferred to Private Cloud Compute (PCC) in cases where the computation cannot be performed entirely on-device. This information is critical for our internal security and compliance reviews. I would appreciate your clarification on this matter. Thank you.

I originally created my Apple Developer account when I was living in Canada (years ago). Now that I live in the U.S. I want to renew it, but I can't - because it thinks I'm still in Canada. When I go to change my contact information, I get a screen that says: "Unauthorized Your account can’t access this page. There may be certain requirements to view this content. If you’re a member of a developer program, make sure your Account Holder has agreed the latest license agreement." What do I do?
