Good morning everyone,
I am developing a Flutter app for Android and iOS.
When I press a button, the app detects the location of the device (obviously with permissions already granted).
On Android everything works correctly.
On iOS, however, when I press the button for the first time after opening the app, the location is detected after about 30-50 seconds.
On the other hand, if I repeat the operation later, the response time is drastically reduced (only a few seconds).
I am using the location package (https://pub.dev/packages/location), and the code to get the location is as follows:
var currentLocation = await location.getLocation();
Has anyone experienced this problem before or knows how to solve it?
Thank you very much!
Federico

Question:
I have created a workspace containing a SwiftUI app and two frameworks:
B Framework: Handles UI components
C Framework: Handles service classes
I added a Podfile to manage dependencies. My Podfile is structured as follows:
inhibit_all_warnings!
workspace 'ABC.xcworkspace'
def shared_pods
# Shared pods here
pod 'Alamofire'
end
target 'A' do
use_frameworks!
project 'A/A.xcodeproj'
shared_pods
end
target 'B' do
use_frameworks!
project 'B/B.xcodeproj'
shared_pods
end
target 'C' do
use_frameworks!
project 'C/C.xcodeproj'
shared_pods
end
post_install do |installer|
installer.pods_project.targets.each do |target|
target.build_configurations.each do |config|
config.build_settings['IPHONEOS_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET'] = '13.0'
end
end
end
After installing pods and building the project, everything works fine except for Xcode’s SwiftUI Preview, which crashes with the following error:
xcpreviewagent crashed because Alamofire.framework is missing
Question:
How can I resolve this issue and make SwiftUI Previews work without Xcode crashing?
(Copy pasted from FB17261080 that I submitted)
Hi:
Apple's SDK (libSystem.B.tbd) provides definition for multiple symbols(__unw_add_dynamic_fde / __unw_add_find_dynamic_unwind_sections ), but doesn't provide corresponding headers, available in LLVM upstream as libunwind_ext.h
We need such headers to write Exception-Enabled JIT Framework for macOS
So I can see from the documentation that XCTAssertEqual(x, y) becomes #expect(x == y), but what about XCTAssertEqual(x, y, accuracy: 0.2)?
Does something already exist or do we need to write a more involved statement to see if x is less than y plus z and more than y minus z?
I'm calling this command to export archive:
xcodebuild -exportArchive -archivePath .build/XYZ.xcarchive -exportPath .build/XYZ.ipa -exportOptionsPlist Authenticator/ExportOptions.plist -quiet -allowProvisioningUpdates
Here is my exportOptions file content
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
<key>method</key>
<string>app-store-connect</string>
<key>signingStyle</key>
<string>automatic</string>
<key>teamID</key>
<string>ABCD</string>
</dict>
</plist>
Most of the time this command fail with this error:
error: exportArchive No Accounts
error: exportArchive No signing certificate "iOS Distribution" found
What we found is that our Apple ID just disappear from Xcode and we need to add it again manually.
So there are two questions here:
Why Apple ID account dissapears and how I can fix this?
Is there an option to not use Apple ID account in Xcode and for example to use -authenticationKeyID flags of xcodebuild?
Just to mention this happens only on our CI machine and not locally.
Hi all,
I’m developing a watchOS app and have seen cases where the app is terminated by the system — for example, due to CPU usage limits being exceeded (watchdog termination). Here’s a portion of one of the crash reports:
Exception Type: EXC_CRASH (SIGKILL)
Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000
Termination Reason: CAROUSEL 2343432205
<RBSTerminateContext| domain:10 code:0x8BADF00D explanation:[app<app_name>:898] Failed to terminate gracefully after 5.0s
ProcessVisibility: Foreground
ProcessState: Running
WatchdogEvent: process-exit
WatchdogVisibility: Foreground
WatchdogCPUStatistics: (
"Elapsed total CPU time (seconds): 11.280 (user 9.800, system 1.480), 100% CPU",
"Elapsed application CPU time (seconds): 5.162, 46% CPU"
) reportType:CrashLog maxTerminationResistance:Interactive>
My questions:
1.) Is there any way to get notified (via Crashlytics, Xcode Organizer, or any other reporting mechanism) when this type of system-level termination happens — similar to how we’re notified of crashes?
2.)Is there any way for a watchOS app to receive runtime warnings from the system when it’s about to exceed CPU or memory limits — similar to UIApplication.didReceiveMemoryWarningNotification on iOS?
Thanks in advance!

I'm using Xcode 16.3 and I want to add the key "NSUbiquitousContainers" but I cannot do it in the Entitlements file, it should be in info.plist file! I have done it before but in previous versions of Xcode when the info.plist was in the project navigator.
However, now I cannot find the file and I did not find any way to create it!
Please guide me in detail how to proceed (I'm not new to Swift or SwiftUI but not familiar to project settings)?
I am using Swift Testing for TDD my project. I have a struct that contains an array of 65536 UInt8's along with other properties. I am testing methods that modify the properties of the struct including the contents of the array.
In just one of my test files, any test fails (there are several in the file), the entire contents of the struct, including the array, are printed to the console. In another test file they are not. I'm don't think there are any differences to the test setup in the two files. Any idea what's going on?
I'm able get the program to skip the dump to the console by copying the properties I want to test to local let constants and testing those.
Thanks
Hello,
I currently have a live application in the iOS App Store that needs an update to start functioning again, but I've lost the source code in a hard drive failure. Is there a way to reverse engineer the currently deployed package that is live (and also a way to download it from App Store Connect)⁉️
The development change itself is just a very small change for an API route in the code itself. I could even direct an engineer at Apple to make the change in 5 minutes!
Let me know if this is possible.
Thanks❗️
I would like to create iOS App that have MTP-USB functions.
So I have the following questions:
1.Is it possible to create an application with MTP-USB function using .NET MAUI?
2.If 1. is possible, how should I implement it?
The devices I plan to use are iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro.
Thanks.
About three weeks ago I submitted a DTS ticket (13097367) to receive code level support with a potential SwiftUI bug. At first I did not receive any response at all (beside the automatic confirmation that the ticket has been created).
Only after posting the question here, I got a reply from a DTS engineer. However, the proposed solution did not really solve the problem but only circumvents it (UI freezes when ScrollView reaches below SafeArea. Solution: Do not use ScrollView below SafeArea...)
I pointed out, that this does not really help me. Since then I did not receive any further response.
Is this normal? Is there something wrong with my ticket? Maybe it was closed by accident or something?
Thank you very much!
Hi everyone, I've been trying to integrate with Microsoft EntraID for more than a week. I've followed every tutorial, ChatGPT, Cloude.ai, etc, but nothing works, and I realized that the problem is setting up information inside the Info.plist correctly. In the old days, we were able to edit it, but now it's a mess. I'm working with Xcode 15.2. Unfortunately, my computer does not accept more upgrades. Yes, I know I have to buy a new one, but I'm not sure if the new version will help me solve that. Does anyone have a project example or some experience with Microsoft EntraID authentication using SwiftUI?
All the examples in the project are really old and usually don't use SwiftUI

Hi everyone,
I’m encountering an issue with Firebase Dynamic Links in my app that I’m hoping someone can help me with.
Everything was working perfectly before, but recently, I’ve run into a problem. Here’s the scenario:
If the app is not installed and a Firebase Dynamic Link is clicked, the user is correctly redirected to the app store to install the app.
Once the app is installed and opened for the first time, the dynamic link doesn't work. The app doesn't open to the correct content or link that was clicked.
I’ve tried the following troubleshooting steps with no success:
Verified that the app is configured properly in Firebase and that the Dynamic Links settings are correct.
Checked the app's deep linking settings and ensured everything matches with the Firebase setup.
Confirmed that the Firebase SDK is up-to-date.
Attempted to clear app cache and reinstall.
Tested the links in both debug and production modes.
Despite trying all these steps, the issue persists.
Has anyone else faced this issue before or have any suggestions for how to fix it? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
This morning I installed podman on my new Apple laptop. It can be inited successfully but failed to start.
The error is: Error: Error Domain=VZErrorDomain Code=1 Description="Internal Virtualization error. The virtual machine failed to start." UserInfo={
NSLocalizedFailure = "Internal Virtualization error.";
NSLocalizedFailureReason = "The virtual machine failed to start.";
My new Mac laptop with the latest OS version: 15.3.1 and it is Apple M4 chip.
I verified that my Virtualization.framework is good by ls -l /System/Library/Frameworks/Virtualization.framework also my MacOS support virtualization because sysctl kern.hv_support returns kern.hv_support: 1.
I tried to install it on my old Apple laptop which is intel core, same OS version - everything is good.
How to fix this issue?
Hello!
We would like to know the steps required to build an application and submit it to the Apple Store using an automated process on a server.
Here are our conditions:
We have a server running macOS Sonoma 14.6.1 on Amazon EC2.
Xcode 16.1 (Build version 16B40) is installed.
We use only console commands, as the GUI is not available.
We use Cordova to add the iOS platform to the application.
A private key, certificate, and provisioning profile have already been created and are located on the server.
Could you please clarify:
What commands are needed to configure the Keychain to use the certificate and provisioning profile?
How can we build the application using xcodebuild?
What are the steps to sign and submit the application to the App Store with minimal human interaction?
Thank you in advance for your assistance!
It used to work for me (a few months, maybe a year ago). Right now when I run it there is no output (even though I granted it Bluetooth Capture permissions and have working RFCOMM communication in my program).
Versions:
PacketLogger 2024.03.18 (2024.03.18d1)
Sequoia 15.4.1
M2 chip
How to add speech recognition in + capability in Xcode there is no "Speech Recognition" in the list.
Hi,
I am trying to bring an existing Unity app to vision pro, and am trying to make all of the librairies compatible (the project loads native libs at runtime).
For some of them, there is an arm64 IOS .framework file that seems to build and be found easily in the device, but for one of them I only got a .dylib.
When building on xcode, it tells me it can't find it. So I added it to the lib search path in build settings, and it built. But on the device, it still can't seem to find the .dylib :
Library not loaded: ./libpdfium.dylib
Referenced from: <59B1ACCC-FFFD-3448-B03D-69AE95604C77> /private/var/containers/Bundle/Application/0606D884-CB09-44CA-8E4F-4A309D2E7053/[...].app/Frameworks/UnityFramework.framework/UnityFramework
Reason: tried: '/usr/lib/system/introspection/libpdfium.dylib' (no such file, not in dyld cache), './libpdfium.dylib' (no such file), '/usr/lib/system/introspection/libpdfium.dylib' (no such file, not in dyld cache), '//libpdfium.dylib' (no such file)
I am not used to Apple environment, is there a way to correctly reference this .dylib (not talking about compatibility here, just the first "lib found" step) ?
Thanks.

Hi,
I really appreciate the C++ binding provided.
I got the metal-cpp source code from the website at Getting Started. However, I could not find the same for metal-cpp-extensions. Is it not available or do we have to always extract it from the sample code?
Thanks.

I am using react native 0.77.0 and xcode 16.2. The build succeeded but while archiving I am getting this.
