Displaying limited contacts list in UIKit
I have an app that was written in UIKit. It's too large, and it would be much too time consuming at this point to convert it to SwiftUI. I want to incorporate the new limited contacts into this app. The way it's currently written everything works fine except for showing the limited contacts in the contact picker. I have downloaded and gone though the Apple tutorial app but I'm having trouble thinking it through into UIKit. After a couple of hours I decided I need help. I understand I need to pull the contact IDs of the contacts that are in the limited contacts list. Not sure how to do that or how to get it to display in the picker. Any help would be greatly appreciated. func requestAccess(completionHandler: @escaping (_ accessGranted: Bool) -> Void) { switch CNContactStore.authorizationStatus(for: .contacts) { case .authorized: completionHandler(true) case .denied: showSettingsAlert(completionHandler) case .restricted, .notDetermined: CNContactStore().requestAccess(for: .contacts) { granted, error in if granted { completionHandler(true) } else { DispatchQueue.main.async { [weak self] in self?.showSettingsAlert(completionHandler) } } } // iOS 18 only case .limited: completionHandler(true) @unknown default: break } } // A text field that displays the name of the chosen contact @IBAction func contact_Fld_Tapped(_ sender: TextField_Designable) { sender.resignFirstResponder() // The contact ID that is saved to the Db getTheCurrentContactID() let theAlert = UIAlertController(title: K.Titles.chooseAContact, message: nil, preferredStyle: .actionSheet) // Create a new contact let addContact = UIAlertAction(title: K.Titles.newContact, style: .default) { [weak self] _ in self?.requestAccess { _ in let openContact = CNContact() let vc = CNContactViewController(forNewContact: openContact) vc.delegate = self // this delegate CNContactViewControllerDelegate DispatchQueue.main.async { self?.present(UINavigationController(rootViewController: vc), animated: true) } } } let getContact = UIAlertAction(title: K.Titles.fromContacts, style: .default) { [weak self] _ in self?.requestAccess { _ in self?.contactPicker.delegate = self DispatchQueue.main.async { self?.present(self!.contactPicker, animated: true) } } } let editBtn = UIAlertAction(title: K.Titles.editContact, style: .default) { [weak self] _ in self?.requestAccess { _ in let store = CNContactStore() var vc = CNContactViewController() do { let descriptor = CNContactViewController.descriptorForRequiredKeys() let editContact = try store.unifiedContact(withIdentifier: self!.oldContactID, keysToFetch: [descriptor]) vc = CNContactViewController(for: editContact) } catch { print("Getting contact to edit failed: \(self!.VC_String) \(error)") } vc.delegate = self // delegate for CNContactViewControllerDelegate self?.navigationController?.isNavigationBarHidden = false self?.navigationController?.navigationItem.hidesBackButton = false self?.navigationController?.pushViewController(vc, animated: true) } } let cancel = UIAlertAction(title: K.Titles.cancel, style: .cancel) { _ in } if oldContactID.isEmpty { editBtn.isEnabled = false } theAlert.addAction(getContact) // Select from contacts theAlert.addAction(addContact) // Create new contact theAlert.addAction(editBtn) // Edit this contact theAlert.addAction(cancel) let popOver = theAlert.popoverPresentationController popOver?.sourceView = sender popOver?.sourceRect = sender.bounds popOver?.permittedArrowDirections = .any present(theAlert, animated: true) } func requestAccess(completionHandler: @escaping (_ accessGranted: Bool) -> Void) { switch CNContactStore.authorizationStatus(for: .contacts) { case .authorized: completionHandler(true) case .denied: showSettingsAlert(completionHandler) case .restricted, .notDetermined: CNContactStore().requestAccess(for: .contacts) { granted, error in if granted { completionHandler(true) } else { DispatchQueue.main.async { [weak self] in self?.showSettingsAlert(completionHandler) } } } // iOS 18 only case .limited: completionHandler(true) @unknown default: break } } // MARK: - Contact Picker Delegate extension AddEdit_Quote_VC: CNContactPickerDelegate { func contactPicker(_ picker: CNContactPickerViewController, didSelect contact: CNContact) { selectedContactID = contact.identifier let company: String = contact.organizationName let companyText = company == "" ? Developer Program enrollment stuck in review for nearly 3 months – any advice?
Hello, I'm reaching out to see if anyone has experienced a similar issue and can share any advice. We submitted our Apple Developer Program enrollment nearly three months ago, and the status has remained “In Review” ever since. We've contacted Apple Support several times by email, but all the responses have been generic – simply stating that the application is still under review, with no indication of what's causing the delay. To clarify: Our company is legally registered in Saint Vincent, but our development operations and team are based in the Philippines, which is also where the enrollment was submitted. We have no unresolved communications or pending documentation requests from Apple. This extended delay is starting to affect our business operations. Has anyone else experienced such a long review time? Were you able to escalate the issue successfully or get a more specific response from Apple? Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

BLE Scan Response
The iPhone XS Max and Garmin watch pairing cannot use BLE to send Scan Response; it can only send BLE advertisements. May I ask if this is a limitation of the Apple system? So far, we have tested several iPhone models, and only the iPhone XS Max has this issue. We are not sure if other untested models have the same problem.

no “Add Cellular Plan” or any other eSIM-related menu.
Hi, I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max, model A2849, which according to Apple’s official specifications, supports eSIM. However, in the settings, there is no visible option to add an eSIM (see attached screenshot). There is no “Add Cellular Plan” or any other eSIM-related menu. I’ve already checked for software updates, restarted the device, and reset the network settings, but the issue remains. Has anyone experienced this issue or knows how to fix it? Thanks in advance for your help!

How to Properly Integrate Google IMA SDK for Pre-roll, Mid-roll, and Post-roll Ads in a tvOS App using TVJS and Swift?
I'm working on a tvOS application that plays video content using TVMLKit/TVJS. I'm trying to integrate Google IMA SDK to show pre-roll, mid-roll, and post-roll ads in my app. Here’s what I’ve done so far: Video playback is handled through JavaScript in application.js. Ads are managed in Swift using Google IMA SDK. I use the evaluateJavaScript bridge to control video playback from Swift. I pause and resume the TVJS player (Player object) using a function like startPlayingVideo(value) from Swift based on the ad lifecycle. Current Flow: When the video is about to start, I call loadAds() from JS. This presents a Swift ViewController that handles IMA ad requests. On adsManagerDidRequestContentPause, I pause the video using JS via the bridge. On adsManagerDidRequestContentResume, I resume the video. The Issue: This setup doesn't behave consistently: Sometimes the ad plays in the background and video started playing as well but can not see the ad. Not able to see the post-roll ads Relevant Code Snippets: application.js function startPlayingVideo(value) { if (playerReference != undefined) { if (value == true) { playerReference.play(); else { playerReference.pause(); } } } function playVideo(videoURL) { setup playerReference, push mediaItem, etc. loadAds(); player.present(); } AppDelegate.swift let loadAds: @convention(block) () -\> Void = { DispatchQueue.main.async { let adManagerVC = ViewController() AppDelegate.tvController?.navigationController.present(adManagerVC, animated: true) } } let updateVideoPlayTime: @convention(block) (Double) -\> Void = { time in CustomContentPlayhead.shared.currentTime = TimeInterval(time) } ViewController.swift func adsManagerDidRequestContentPause(\_ adsManager: IMAAdsManager) { showAdUI() playerViewController.player?.pause() } func adsManagerDidRequestContentResume(\_ adsManager: IMAAdsManager) { hideAdUI() // Expecting JS video to resume via bridge } And yeah my IMSDK Implementation is working fine if I am using it with swift AVPlayer. What I Need Help With: Best practice for coordinating video playback between JS (Player) and Swift (IMAAdsManager). How can I sync the playhead reliably between JS and Swift? Is there a better way to pause/resume TVJS player from Swift during ad lifecycle? How to reliably insert mid-roll ads when the playback is primarily controlled in JS? Any insights, code examples, or recommended architecture improvements would be greatly appreciated!

WWDC26 beta cellular issues
So recently, last week, ive updated to the Dev Beta of ios 26. This began the very issue of my cellular data. I woke up to a warning symbol where my cellular bars should be, telling me there was something wrong with my antenna or carrier when in reality there was no problem with any of those problems and took up about 53% of my storage. This is absolutely insane and unacceptable.

ITMS-91061: Missing privacy manifest
Hi all, Im trying tu publish an app for iOS and I get it rejected by the lack of this privacy manifest, but unless I understood this wrong, this manifest is needed for external tools used, or maybe Im wrong, Im publishing an app made in Unity, so in this case, one has to include a privacy manifest by default? Sorry Im lost in all these terms, so I don't know if im asking something redundant, if you know how to fix this issue please tell me or direct me to the process because I haven't been able to identify the issue. Thanks a lot for any clue beforehand really

Selling your first app
How long was it between putting your first app on the App Store (that had a paid component to it like IAPs) and getting your first sale? I'm working on an app at the moment that I plan on putting up for a small one time fee. I'm curious to know what people's different experiences were with this. What was your app and how did it go?

Ongoing Suspicious Remote and Network Access Behavior — Seeking Technical Insight
O v er the past few months, I’ve been experiencing persistent, abnormal behavior on my iPhone. Here's a short timeline: March 2025: Most apps log me out every time I close them. April 2025: Stored passwords suddenly begin failing across apps and websites. May–June 2025: Password recovery emails from Gmail accounts no longer arrive — suggesting that Gmail itself may be compromised or blocked/intercepted. Given the escalation, I ran several diagnostics and extracted system-level logs. Below is a structured summary of findings that point toward potential remote access, network traffic rerouting, and possibly hidden use of Bluetooth or debugging interfaces. ##1 Source: remotectl_dumpstate.txt More than 50 remote lockdown and diagnostic services are listed as active. Notable entries: com.apple.mobile.lockdown.remote.trusted and .untrusted com.apple.mobile.file_relay.shim.remote com.apple.webinspector.shim.remote com.apple.pcapd.shim.remote com.apple.bluetooth.BTPacketLogger.shim.remote com.apple.mobile.insecure_notification_proxy.remote This volume of .shim.remote and diagnostic services appears highly irregular for a non-debug, non-jailbroken device. 2. Skywalk Network Flows and Unusual Routing Source: skywalk.txt Dozens of flowswitch entries across interfaces like: ipsec0-7, pdp_ip0-2, en0-2, awdl0 Apps such as Gmail, ChatGPT, Preferences, and com.apple.WebKit are marked as defunct, yet persist in flow tables. Two specific daemons — replicatord and siriactionsd — appear on nearly every interface, in both QUIC and TCP6 traffic. skywalkctl flow-route shows multiple external IP paths, with flows routed through ipsec7, owned by kernel_task.0 — which could indicate system-level tunneling. 3. System Anomalies and Resource Behavior Inaccessible System Network Tools Source: get-network-info.txt All scutil calls fail (/usr/sbin/scutil does not exist). This blocks access to: DNS configuration (scutil --dns) Proxy and VPN status (scutil --proxy, --nc list) Reachability checks (scutil -r www.apple.com) Key Questions for the Developer Community Are >50 remote .shim.remote services typical on iOS 18.5 (release build)? Or does this suggest tampering, an MDM configuration, or debug provisioning? Could a misconfigured VPN or MDM profile enable persistent flow-switching across multiple interfaces (e.g., ipsec, pdp, awdl) and reroute app traffic such as Gmail? Is it possible for a test or developer certificate to silently side-load a background daemon, or trigger services like pcapd or file_relay, without showing in Profiles or Settings? Has anyone else seen the scutil binary missing or inaccessible on a stock iPhone? Could this be a sign of intentional lockdown or system modification? If anyone on iOS 18.5 / iPhone17,1 can share their remotectl_dumpstate output, I'd like to compare the service count and see if this behavior is reproducible. I’d appreciate any insight from those familiar with Apple’s system daemons, skywalk internals, or network service behavior. Happy to share sanitized logs or run additional diagnostics if needed. Thanks in advance. get-network-info.txt route-info.txt remotectl_dumpstate.txt [ assetsd.diskwrites_resource-2025-06-25-221428.json linkText

MacBook Air (M2, 2023) Randomly Freezes After Sleep – Black Screen with Cursor Only
Since a recent macOS update (around one month ago), I’ve been experiencing a random issue on my MacBook Air (2023, M2). After the device enters sleep mode and I try to wake it, sometimes the screen stays black with only the cursor visible. The issue occurs randomly — not every time — but frequently enough to impact daily use. The system becomes completely unresponsive, and the only recovery method is a forced restart (holding the power button). Steps to Reproduce: 1. Leave the MacBook idle until it enters sleep automatically. 2. Wait for 10–30+ minutes. 3. Attempt to wake it using the keyboard, trackpad, or by opening the lid. 4. Randomly, the system fails to wake properly: screen turns on, shows a black background with a movable cursor, but nothing else appears. Expected Result: The system wakes normally and restores to the previous desktop session. Actual Result: The system randomly freezes on a black screen with a visible cursor. No user interface or login prompt appears. Requires a hard restart. System Information: • Device: MacBook Air 13”, M2, 2023 • macOS Version: [Insert exact version, e.g., macOS Sonoma 14.5] • Issue Since: Around one month ago (possibly after latest macOS update) • Peripherals: [Mention any external devices if applicable] • Reproducibility: Random (approximately 30–50% of the time after longer sleep) Additional Notes: • Issue is not consistent; sometimes the system wakes as expected. • Occurs regardless of whether on battery or plugged in. • No external monitors or USB accessories are connected when this happens.

Apple Developer Enrollment Delay — No Updates for 24 Days
I’m trying to register an Apple Developer Account for my company. I uploaded all the required documents, but my initial application was rejected, and I was asked to provide notarized translations of my documents. I translated them and submitted everything for review on April 1. After a week without a response, I contacted Apple Support. They replied that the documents had been received and were under review. However, as of today, April 24, my account is still under review. I’ve sent five follow-up emails to Support asking for a status update on my case, but I haven’t received any replies. Has anyone faced a similar situation and could suggest what I can do to get a status update and finally complete the registration? If anyone from Apple Support is reading this, my case number is 20000098634973 and my Enrollment ID is J34432JQFC. Thank you in advance for your help.

Severe Keyboard Lag in Roblox on iOS 18.4 (Resolves When Low Power Mode is On)
Hi, I’m experiencing a serious keyboard lag issue on my iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 18.4. When playing games in Roblox, if I try to type in the in-game chat using the default iOS keyboard, the typing becomes extremely laggy and drops a lot of frames. However, if I turn on Low Power Mode, the issue disappears completely, and typing becomes smooth again. This suggests that the problem may be related to background optimization or system performance handling in iOS 18.4. Open Roblox and start any game with chat input and Try typing in the chat box using the iOS keyboard than Observe serious lag and frame drops and Enable Low Power Mode. The lag disappears instantly. • iPhone 15 Pro Max • iOS version: 18.4 • Keyboard: Default iOS keyboard • Issue only occurs when Low Power Mode is OFF Please investigate this behavior. It’s very disruptive during gameplay and seems linked to performance scaling or system optimization. Thanks! My English is not very good and these are the ones I edited using Google Translate.
