on a span of 4 months we sent 2 for nfc entitlement requests and refused , no reason nothing . i mean all we want is the ability to use nfc on passes nothing else , no idea why this is so complex . with google you don’t even need a developer account and it’s for free , here we pay and we can’t even get the full functionality the passes offer , we got the hardware and the solution but we find out we need an nfc entitlement to allow passes to have nfc ? i mean our use case is very simple instead of having barcode on the passes we want them to be via nfc and we already got the nfc hardware but we find out we need nfc entitlement which we tried requesting but getting refused with no reason at all. at least tell u what is the problem what how to fix it not outright refuse without any reason at all. if anyone got any solution please provide.

I'd like to set up a communication mechanism between the Ui test runner and my iOS app. The purpose is to be able to collect some custom performance metrics in addition to standard ones like scrollingAndDecelerationMetric. Let's say we measure some specific intervals in our code using signposts, then serialize the result into a structured payload and report it back to the runner.
So, are there any good options for that kind of IPC?
The primary concern is running on Simulator. However, since it is not a regular UI test but more a performance UI test, and it is usually recommended to run those on a real device, with release optimizations/flags in place, I wonder if it is feasible to have it for device too.
Does anyone know why I set the offer code in Apple Store Connect, but when I call SKPaymentQueue.default().presentCodeRedemptionSheet() in the app, the app icon does not appear and I cannot find the offer code?

In my application I am donating AppIntent instances that I have to the system using the donate() API. I recently came across this article that talks about deleting donations but it does not mention how to handle AppIntent instances.
I am wondering when working with dynamic AppIntents (with different properties that can change in the future), should I be worried about "outdated" donated AppIntent instances? And if yes how can I delete previously donated AppIntent instances.
Our product is using IOKit framework for monitoring USB device activities. We have used IOKit framework for getting the notification for USB plugin and un-plugins. With the macOS version 15.3 we are started seeing issue with it. When the notification is received during USB plugin/connection, we are unable to get IOUSBDeviceInterface object which will be used for further processing.
Currently we are seeing the below error every time, while trying to create the IO plugin interface using IOCreatePlugInInterfaceForService API:

a few times, for reasons unknown to me, asr restore processes broke with error 49244. Basically, the process get interrupted, most cases when is about to finish, with just a laconic message saying "Volume replication failed - error 49244".
Where can I get information on this error, what exactly means, what causes it and more important, how to troubleshoot it.

we have three problem when using the push notification on Live Activity.
1. What is the specific callback strategy for the activityUpdates property in ActivityKit?
We found that in actual user scenarios, there is a probability that we may not receive callbacks. From the community experience, there are some resource optimization strategies that do not perform callbacks. From this perspective, the explanation is kind of vague. Is there any clear feedback to understand why callbacks are performed/not performed?
2.what is the specific description of the wake-up strategy, when background app receive Live Activity offline start Push?
From community experience, we can see that the system may wake up for a duration of 0-30s due to resource optimization strategies, or not wake up/not deal with it. Is there an official description of the wake-up strategy? or we also have to follow this description:
Wake up of apps using content-available pushes are heavily throttled. You can expect 1-2 wakeup per hour as a best case scenario in the hands of your users. so this cannot be assumed to be a reliable wake-up on demand mechanism for an app.
3 How can we determine user have selected (allow or always allow) of the Live Activity permission?
When we use real-time activity offline push, there are two system prompts in iOS:
the first prompt : allow and disallow real-time activity
the second prompt : always allow and disallow
Is there an interface that can directly determine which permission the user has chosen (allow/always allow)? (By the way, we can get disallow status).
At present, we haven't seen any interface in the official documentation/interface that can determine (allow/always allow). The difference here will affect the generation of Update Token. Without Update Token, we can not update our activity instance.

I’m running an Objective-C–based hybrid (native + web) shopping application and encountering a recurring issue on devices running iOS 18.1.1:
When the app launches, it only shows a white screen with the native frame visible—no web content loads.
Restarting or reinstalling the app doesn’t help. In one instance, toggling Airplane Mode on and off brought the app back to normal, but this workaround isn’t consistent.
There are no crash logs, so we can’t determine if it’s caused by a network error, cache conflict, or an OS-level bug.
So far, we have only seen this issue on iOS 18.1.1 devices. Because our app is a shopping platform, this significantly impacts users.
Questions:
Could this be related to a known bug or limitation in iOS 18.1.1?
Are there recommended diagnostic steps or workarounds for a hybrid app that shows a white screen without generating crash logs?
Which additional details (e.g., system logs, network traces, device configurations) might help isolate the cause?

When a user redeems an Offer Code, the offerIdentifier field is populated with the respective identifier. However, I am unsure how this field behaves in different scenarios, and I would appreciate any insights or clarification:
Does the offerIdentifier persist throughout the subscription lifecycle (from the initial purchase to expiration)?
Does it become null once the Offer Code benefits expire?
Is it only present at the time of purchase and omitted in subsequent notifications?
Additionally, I would like to understand the behavior of the offerIdentifier in the following scenario:
A user purchases a lower-tier subscription using an Offer Code. Later, they upgrade to a higher-tier plan, causing the Offer Code benefits to effectively expire.
What happens to the offerIdentifier in the transaction for the upgrade?
Will it still appear in transactions after the upgrade, or will it be null?
I couldn't find explicit details about these situations in the official documentation, so I hope someone here might have experience or knowledge to share.

I have an AppStore Server-side question. User sends up an AppReceipt that I am validating. What's the best way to tell the receipt belongs to said user? I want to make sure that the source of the AppReceipt was actually the original purchaser of the item. Is fetching Transaction + AppAccountToken the only way? AppAccountToken can only be utilized if the original purchase used it, and it is associated with the user's data. Is there another way?

Can I show call data (e.g., call duration, recent call history, etc.) for SIM-based cellular calls within my app when it is the default calling app? I need to know if it’s possible to retrieve and display this data in a custom format.
Managing Outgoing Cellular Calls:
For SIM-based outgoing calls, can I handle the process of initiating the call and then show a custom UI for the call in progress (similar to how VoIP apps manage outgoing calls)?

I am developing an app to add Discover cards to Apple Wallet. Unlike Visa, MasterCard, etc., Discover does not have APIs that return activationData, encryptedPassData and ephemeralPublicKey for a given card, so I have created a backend server to handle this. In my server, I am unsure how to generate the ephemeralPublicKey. Do I need to use the merchant certificate? If so, how do I use it to generate the ephemeralPublicKey?
I would appreciate it if someone could provide me with a step-by-step guide on how to generate ephemeralPublicKey for provisioning a card.

I am developing a calling service using CallKit and VOIP push.
I have occasionally encountered a strange issue.
The issue is that VOIP permanently fails to receive calls.
I was previously informed that even if the device is blocked, it can receive calls again after 24 hours.
Also, when I checked the device logic, it complied with the policy requirements set by Apple, including correctly calling CallKit's reportNewIncomingCall method.
Once the issue occurs, no matter how many times I try, VOIP does not receive calls, and neither a device reboot nor checking the Device Console Log shows any logs related to CallKit or VOIP.
I suspect this might be an issue with the VOIP token, and I believe that the only way to get a new one is to reinstall the app. Is that correct?
Of course, after reinstalling, it works fine again, but this is very inconvenient. I don't think this is the right solution.
Is there anyone who can share their insights on this issue?

Hey there my application allows users to have video calls with each other using Agora. I have successfully set up incoming call functionality on Android but on iOS I am struggling to get the call ui to appear when the app is not running/in background/locked.
To my knowledge this is because there is much stricter security on iOS which is limiting me from calling this. When i initially set it up it worked at first when the app was in the background but I think I was failing to report the call to call kit in time and now it's not working.
I'm not sure if I need access to this entitlement:
com.apple.developer.pushkit.unrestricted-voip
Which i believe is only for the big boys or if I make sure I'm reporting the call to call kit fast enough that I won't encounter this issue and it will consistently work in the background.

I'm trying to setup PIR service for live caller id lookup (in python but based on swift example: https://github.com/apple/live-caller-id-lookup-example). The swift example provides utilities for database setup and encryption, but I can't find any specification about which key is used for database encryption and how the ios system knows about this key in order to be able to construct the PIR requests.
So my question is how does the PIR service communicate the secret key to ios system or vice versa? (specific to the test environment, before onboarding)
I am needing to add/delete shortcuts in our app without using the Add to Siri button. But have been stymied at every turn. The most recent example is some code that uses an "AppShortcutCenter" call, supposedly added in iOS 17. But there is no such thing as that which I can find. I want to be able to choose a folder containing the images, and want the script to do the following for each image:
Place it at the center of the current page of the active indesign document. Scrape the filename from the image (without the extension), apply the pre-existing Paragraph Style 'Caption' to the text, and center the text 36 points (not pixels) below the image.
Group the image and the text.
Then create a frame with white fill, 540x600 pixels in size, send it to back, center it with the group created above, and group them.

I am currently developing a call service using CallKit and VoIP push. Recently, I have encountered a very challenging issue. During testing, when a VoIP push is received, the incomingCall gets triggered continuously, but then it automatically terminates after about 1-2 seconds. I am checking this issue under the debug scheme, and even when switching to different commits, the same problem persists.
I suspect it might be an issue with the device, but I would like to confirm the cause and find a solution. Below are some characteristics I have noticed:
On this device, when a VoIP push is received, CallKit automatically terminates, but this does not occur when debugging.
The issue always occurs when not debugging.
Looking at the device console logs related to callservicesd, there are many logs with 'invalidate' appended.
For example:
Invalidating process assertion for bundle ID from timeout
All calls ended. Clearing system uplink muted cache
Invalidate callDurationUpdateTimer
InCallService has changed process state to 2
InCallService has been suspended; invalidating its XPC client connections.
[0x565544180] invalidated because the current process cancelled the connection by calling xpc_connection_cancel()
XPC connection invalidated from client
These logs appear although our server did not receive any incoming call request, so we did not terminate it on our end. I also checked if there was a crash, but there were no reports left on the device.
Could you please share any insights into the cause or solutions for this situation?
