StoreKit.product.purchase returns success, but subscription does not appear in Settings
Description: We are developing an iOS app that offers only one auto-renewable subscription. Recently, a user who had not subscribed for over a year purchased the subscription again through our app. However, when they checked Settings > Subscriptions, the new subscription did not appear. Instead, only their past subscription history was visible, and there was no option to cancel the new subscription. We have verified this issue with a screenshot provided by the user. Additionally, we checked our app’s logs and confirmed that StoreKit.product.purchase successfully returned .success, indicating that the purchase was processed correctly. Code used for purchase: let result = try await product? .purchase(options: [ .appAccountToken(uuid) ]) switch result { case .success(let verificationResult): switch verificationResult { case .verified(let transaction): addPurchaseLog("verificationResult.verified.") case .unverified(_, let verificationError): addPurchaseLog("verificationResult.unverified.") case .userCancelled, .pending, .none: addPurchaseLog("verificationResult.userCancelled or .pending or .none") @unknown default: addPurchaseLog("verificationResult.unknown.") } Despite the successful purchase, the new subscription does not appear under the user's active subscriptions. Could this be a bug in StoreKit? If there are any known issues or workarounds, we would appreciate any guidance. Environment: Xcode: 16.2 iOS version: 16.0+

Best practice to prevent users from switching between subscriptions in the same group?
Hello everyone, For example, our app currently has one subscription group in App Store Connect with 5 plans (2 annual, 2 monthly, and 1 quarterly). By default, users can go into Apple Subscriptions in Settings and freely switch between all of these plans. However, our business requirement is to only allow users to stay on one annual plan and one quarterly plan. We don’t want them to switch to the other plans. My questions are: Is there any best practice or recommended approach to restrict subscription switching within the same group? Would removing the unwanted products from sale be the correct approach, or are there any risks/downsides with this method? Has anyone faced a similar situation and found a practical solution? Any guidance or shared experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Xcode 26 beta 3: StoreKit Testing broken
It seems that beta 3 broke StoreKit Testing when running against an iOS 26 simulator device. Specifically, when validating product IDs, the debug console displays messages like the following: [492a4cfa_SK1] Could not parse product: missingValue(for: [StoreKit.ProductResponse.Key.price], expected: StoreKit.BackingValue) [492a4cfa_SK1] Could not parse product: missingValue(for: [StoreKit.ProductResponse.Key.price], expected: StoreKit.BackingValue) [492a4cfa_SK1] Could not parse product: missingValue(for: [StoreKit.ProductResponse.Key.price], expected: StoreKit.BackingValue) [492a4cfa_SK1] Could not parse product: missingValue(for: [StoreKit.ProductResponse.Key.price], expected: StoreKit.BackingValue) [492a4cfa_SK1] Could not parse product: missingValue(for: [StoreKit.ProductResponse.Key.price], expected: StoreKit.BackingValue) [492a4cfa_SK1] Could not parse product: missingValue(for: [StoreKit.ProductResponse.Key.price], expected: StoreKit.BackingValue) [492a4cfa_SK1] Could not parse product: missingValue(for: [StoreKit.ProductResponse.Key.price], expected: StoreKit.BackingValue) [492a4cfa_SK1] Could not parse product: missingValue(for: [StoreKit.ProductResponse.Key.price], expected: StoreKit.BackingValue) In addition, the SKProductsResponse (I am using the original StoreKit API), lists all requested product IDs in invalidProductIdentifiers. The products array is empty. StoreKit Testing behaves as expected when Xcode 26 beta 3 is run against an iOS 18.4 simulator device.

StoreKit 2 - Is it necessary to finish unverified transactions?
The sample code provided in https://developer.apple.com/wwdc21/10114 doesn't appear to call finish() on unverified transactions, and I haven't been able to find any documentation regarding what to do with unfinished transactions. However, Apple has always emphasized the importance of finishing transactions, and since a transaction object is provided even with the unverified state, I'd love some guidance!

TestFlight In-App Purchase (Consumable) gets stuck when using real Apple ID – cannot repurchase even after finishTransaction
**Environment Platform:** iOS Distribution: TestFlight Product type: Consumable In-App Purchase Account used for testing: Real Apple ID (not Sandbox) StoreKit: StoreKit 1 iOS version: iOS 17+ (also reproduced on earlier versions) Issue Description We are encountering an issue when testing consumable in-app purchases in a TestFlight build using a real Apple ID. Under normal circumstances, consumable products should be purchasable repeatedly. However, in TestFlight, after a successful purchase flow, the same product may become unavailable for repurchase, and the transaction appears to be stuck, even though: • finishTransaction: is correctly called • The transaction state is .purchased • No pending transactions are left in the payment queue Once this happens, subsequent purchase attempts result in behavior similar to a non-consumable product (e.g. “already purchased” or no purchase UI shown).

In iOS 26 beta3 version, the finishTransaction method is unable to remove transactions from the SKPaymentQueue, causing transactions to remain in the queue even after being processed.
We have some users who have upgraded to iOS 26 beta3. Currently, we observe that when these users make in-app purchases, our code calls [[SKPaymentQueue defaultQueue] finishTransaction:transaction]; method, and we clearly receive the successful removal callback in the delegate method - (void)paymentQueue:(SKPaymentQueue *)queue removedTransactions:(NSArray<SKPaymentTransaction *> *)transactions. However, when users click on products with the same productId again, the method - (void)paymentQueue:(SKPaymentQueue *)queue updatedTransactions:(NSArray *)transactions still returns information about previously removed transactions, preventing users from making further in-app purchases.

In app purchases
Hey guys, This is a general question, but I have been working on an app for a while and I would like to to introduce IAP to the app. I have no clue where to start and chat GPT is no help. I also tried to vibe coding the IAP function and that didn't work out well. Any material or advice would help.

How to change promotional image of in-app purchase
My apps stuck on review stage. Reason of it is Guideline 2.3.2 - Performance - Accurate Metadata We noticed that your promotional image to be displayed on the App Store does not sufficiently represent the associated promoted in-app purchase. Specifically, we found the following issue with your promotional image: – Your promotional image is the same as your app’s icon. The problem is i can't change this image. My subscription is still in 'in review' stage and I don't have option like delete image or change image. I replied to the review explaining that I cannot change it as long as the subscription is under review, but I haven’t received any meaningful reply, except that I need to change promotion image to be eligible for further review(which i cant do because i haven't option to change this image). Has anyone had such a problem before?

Invalid currency symbol
Strange issue with currency display in subscription products Hi everyone, I'm facing a strange issue in my app where I use a subscription-based in-app purchase model. The products I created in App Store Connect are all in "Approved" status. I've tested with both RevenueCat and StoreKit, but the result is the same. Here are the products being loaded: Product loaded: weekly_product_id Display name: Weekly Pro Description: Weekly Pro Subscription Price: ₺229,99 Product loaded: annual_product_id Display name: Annual Pro Description: Annual Pro Subscription Price: ₺1.799,99 Even though I can see the correct prices and currency (Turkish Lira) in the Xcode debug console, on my real device the currency appears as Philippine Peso, as shown in the attached screenshot. Interestingly, in the iOS simulator, it's displayed in USD. I've double-checked and my device's region settings are set to Turkey. Any ideas on what could be causing this? And more importantly, how can I fix it? Thanks in advance!

You can still renew your membership within the next 8 days and your apps will remain available on the App Store during this time. Open the Apple Developer app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Sign in to your account, tap/click Renew, and follow the prompts. I'm getting this message but renew button is not visible in Developer App or on website. How to to renew?

Unexpected notificationType in App Store Server Notifications V2 when free trial ends
In my app’s IAP products, before enabling free trials, the App Store Server Notifications V2 callbacks all returned the correct notificationType. For auto-renewable subscriptions, when they were about to expire, the notificationType was either DID_RENEW or EXPIRED. A small number of cases(DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW) failed to renew due to billing issues, which was expected. However, after I enabled a 7-day free trial for the auto-renewable products, I noticed that in the App Store Server Notifications V2 callbacks, almost all users (except those who manually turned off auto-renewal) received notificationType = DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW. According to the documentation, DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW indicates a billing issue renewal failure, but in this case it seems like all renewals are being marked as failed. I’ve observed that for users who cancel during the free trial, the callbacks look normal: first a DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_STATUS notification, then an EXPIRED notification when the trial ends. That flow seems correct. However, for users who do not cancel the trial, almost all callbacks show DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW. Does this mean every remaining user has a billing issue? I also noticed on the Developer Forums that other developers have reported the same issue — receiving a large number of DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW notifications specifically when free trials convert to paid subscriptions: https://developer.apple.com/forums/search?q=DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW Could someone clarify: under normal circumstances, when a free trial transitions to a paid subscription and fails, should the App Store Server Notifications V2 notificationType indeed be DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW, or should it be a different type(e.g. EXPIRED)? And is it expected behavior that almost all free trial conversions return DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW?

Unknown Error when Trying to Add New Offer Codes
Hi there! Whenever I try to add a new Offer Code for my app's subscription, I get an unknown error. When I get to the last step of the "Create Offer for Codes" flow, I get an error that error reads "An error has occurred. Try again later." I have been getting this same error for over a week now, so any help figuring out how to add new offer codes would be greatly appreciated!

How to switch in-app-purchases from sandbox to production?
Hello all, I am new to implementing payments in an app, and thus completely at sea here. I have created a small app that I have set a one-time (non-consumable) payment for a premium version. In the Xcode simulator (on all platforms) and on any physical test devices I have tried, the payment works as expected. I have a sandbox account and various test accounts, both dummy and actual real accounts (friends and family). Everywhere everything works perfectly fine. Yet, when I submit for review I get a rejection with this contents: We found that your in-app purchase products exhibited one or more bugs which create a poor user experience. Specifically, the app still failed to load the in-app purchase. Please review the details and resources below and complete the next steps. Review device details: Device type: iPad Air (5th generation) OS version: iPadOS 18.6 Next Steps When validating receipts on your server, your server needs to be able to handle a production-signed app getting its receipts from Apple’s test environment. The recommended approach is for your production server to always validate receipts against the production App Store first. If validation fails with the error code "Sandbox receipt used in production," you should validate against the test environment instead. Additionally, note that the Account Holder must accept the Paid Apps Agreement in the Business section of App Store Connect before paid in-app purchases will function. Resources Learn how to set up and test in-app purchase products in >the sandbox environment. Learn more about validating receipts with the App Store. Steps I have done: I have signed all agreements and all bank account details are in order. Everything in the In-app-purchases section of the AppStoreConnect in an Active state. I have triple checked that the configuration of the in-app purchases is correct (product IDs, amounts, etc.) I have created test accounts and tested in sandbox What I don't understand from the reviewer's response is what receipts validation are they talking about? I have no payment servers (the whole concept of using Apple's in-app-purchases service is to not have to deal with my own payment implementation). The StoreKit documentation specifically reads: For each transaction that represents a current purchase, your app delivers the purchased products. To validate purchases, you can verify transactions on your server, or rely on StoreKit’s verification. So now I am confused. The reviewer's response is so vague, and so completely deprived of details that I have no idea what to do... Does the problem concern the product purchase trigger and the that in production environment it does not trigger? Is it that I haven't implemented a receipt validation? Do I need to? Although the documentation mentions that it can be done by StoreKit, I couldn't find anything concerning how to do it :( Can someone give me a hand please? Cheers, Alex

IOS IAP initialization failed: NoProductsAvailable - No Product returned from store but this app works on Android and google play store
works perfectly on android but doesn't work at all on IOS and i have used the same bundle id and product ids on both stores. The error that i get on IOS is : "IAP initialization failed: NoProductsAvailable - No Product returned from store" Here are the things that i've done: Created an App ID on the apple developer portal with the correct capabilities I have enabled the correct capabilities on the xcode project Unity Framework is embed and signed, Storekit (do not embed) In singin and capabilities in-app purchases is there I am using testflight to submit the app with a distribution certificate that appears to be valid I've checked the the bundle identifier and it's the same everywhere (unity project, xcode project, App ID) All of the products are cleared for sale and are in the status "ready to submit" I always uninstall the old app version before testing the new one My banking updates are still processing does this effect TestFlight IAP Paid Apps Agreement is in Pending User Info state does this effect also I still haven't filled out the tax forms, so I'm wondering if I need to complete them before my app's in-app purchases (IAPs) work in TestFlight.

Sandbox subscription test is triggering multiple transaction events for a single purchase attempt
Hello, We are currently testing subscription purchases in the Sandbox environment, and we are seeing an issue that we do not fully understand. When we attempt a single subscription purchase, multiple purchase signals or transaction events are sometimes delivered from Sandbox for what appears to be just one payment attempt. In some cases this happens twice, and in other cases we have seen it occur as many as five to seven times. The number is inconsistent each time, and we have not been able to identify any clear pattern. At this point, we are not sure whether this is a known instability or limitation of the Sandbox testing environment, or whether there may be something incorrect in our own implementation or configuration. Has anyone experienced similar behavior when testing auto-renewable subscriptions in Sandbox? If so, we would really appreciate any guidance on what to check. Thank you.

StoreKit2: appAccountToken in purchase() always returns first value instead of updated UUID
Hello, I’m experiencing an issue with StoreKit 2 when passing a new appAccountToken for each purchase request. Case-ID: 15948169 (for DTS reference) Description of the Problem When initiating a purchase, I generate a new UUID to use as the appAccountToken: let serverTransactionId = UUID() let options: Set<Product.PurchaseOption> = [ .appAccountToken(serverTransactionId) ] let result = try await product.purchase(options: options) Expected Behavior: Each new purchase should return the updated appAccountToken that I pass into the purchase options. Actual Behavior: The payload response after success always contains the same appAccountToken from the very first transaction. It ignores subsequent UUIDs I pass and keeps reusing the original one. This causes issues because the same identifier is being reused across multiple transactions, making it difficult to map purchases to the correct user session. Steps to Reproduce Generate a fresh UUID using UUID(). Pass it as .appAccountToken when calling purchase(). Complete the transaction in the sandbox environment. Inspect the payload response → The appAccountToken value is always the same as the first one used, not the newly provided one. Additional Info I do have a focused test project that reproduces this issue. The issue appears specific to appAccountToken persistence across multiple transactions. Has anyone else experienced this behavior with StoreKit 2? Is this expected (Apple caching the first token) or could this be a bug?

TestFlight user cannot re-purchase expired auto-renewable subscription – only restored purchases returned
I’m testing an auto-renewable subscription on TestFlight. Now the user can't re-purchase the same product – Apple just restores the old (expired) one, and no payment sheet appears. How can I let the same TestFlight user re-subscribe to an expired product? Do I have to create a new productId for every test cycle?
