0xBAADCA11 Occurs when VoIP Call Incoming (APNs Push Notification)
I am developing a VoIP phone application(Our Phoneapp) using APNs VoIP push. I have a question regarding a behavior I discovered during testing of this application. When performing the following operations using an iPhoneSE3 with an sXGP-NW SIM inserted, 0xBAADCA11 occurs upon receiving an APNs VoIP PUSH. Do you have any information regarding this issue? 0xBAADCA11 occurs in operation 8. However, since there were no problems in operation 4 (the app works when Wi-Fi is off), I think there is no issue with the Our Phoneapp. [Configuration of system components] [VoIP Telephone] --Call to iPhone(Phoneapp)--> [Our VoIP PBX Server] -- VoIP PUSH request --> [Apple APNs Server] -- VoIP PUSH --> [Our Phoneapp (iPhoneSE3(with sXGP SIM)] [Operations] (The issue is reproducible 100% by following oparation) iPhoneSE3: Power on (iPhoneSE3 with sXGP SIM) iPhoneSE3: Wi-Fi off, connect to the internet via SIM. VoIP Telephone: Call to Our Phoneapp iPhoneSE3: Receives VoIP PUSH and Phoneapp launches. Successfully answers the call and communication is possible. (Receives VoIP push notification from APNs via sXGP SIM) iPhoneSE3: Wi-Fi is turned ON, connect to the internet via Wi-Fi. iPhoneSE3: Task kill Our Phoneapp. VoIP Telephone: Call to Our Phoneapp iPhoneSE3: iOS does not call the push notification delegate (didReceiveIncomingPushWithPayload). As a result our Phoneapp is unable to detect the incoming call, However, an ips log with 0xBAADCA11 is output. in other words, iOS received the VoIP PUSH, but Our Phoneapp dose not call CallKit, so Our Phoneapp was terminated by iOS.

FinanceKit - authorization process is not entitled error
I'm currently experimenting with the latest Xcode beta 15.3 (15E5194e) and attempting to integrate FinanceKit](https://developer.apple.com/documentation/financekit) into my project. However, I've encountered a persistent issue where the app crashes upon attempting to read or request authorization, accompanied by the following error message: FinanceKit/FinanceStore+FinancialDataAuthorization.swift:52: Fatal error: Process is not entitled Upon investigation, I've found no evident entitlements for FinanceKit, despite exploring options like Apple Wallet. Furthermore, I thoroughly examined the info.plist for relevant privacy values but found nothing pertinent. Here's the code snippet that triggers the fatal error, whether it's the request or read function: I don't see anything in entitlements for FinanceKit (I tried Apple Wallet and that didn't make a difference). Additionally, I checked for relevant privacy values for the info.plist but again didn't see anything relevant. Here is the code to reproduce the error (note calling either function will result in the same fatal error): import FinanceKit import UIKit class ViewController: UIViewController { override func viewDidLoad() { super.viewDidLoad() requestFinancePermission() // readFinancePermission() } private func requestFinancePermission() { Task { do { let status = try await FinanceStore.shared.requestAuthorization() } catch { print("Error: \(error)") } } } private func readFinancePermission() { Task { do { let status = try await FinanceStore.shared.authorizationStatus() } catch { print("Error: \(error)") } } } } I'm seeking clarification on whether FinanceKit is currently usable or if there are additional steps needed for proper integration. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Change default handler for tel URL scheme on macOS
My app is a VoIP softphone for Mac that allows people to make phone calls to a regular phone numbers. The app exists since before Mac App Store. The app declares itself to the system as capable of handling tel: URLs. Until now, people could change the default handler for tel URLs in FaceTime settings (Default for calls). In macOS Tahoe 26, this doesn't seem to be possible any more. That option is gone from the FaceTime settings. Is it completely gone or has it been moved somewhere else? If there is no UI control for this any more, is it possible to change it programmatically?

AlarmKit - Custom Sounds?
Could someone please explain how to use a custom sound when setting up an alarm using AlarmKit? It keeps playing a default sound. Also, I keep having an issue where the alarm sound plays but doesn’t show the alarm interface buttons unless the screen is locked.

Potential iOS26 regression on AASA file not download on app install
Original discussion pre iOS 26 Our app uses Auth0 with HTTPS callback, we've found the issue where AASA file is not ready immediately when app is initially launched, which is the exact issue from the above link. The issue seems mostly fixed on later versions on iOS 18, however, we are seeing some indications of a regression on iOS 26. Here's some measurement over the last week. | Platform | iOS 18 | iOS 26 | |---------------|----------|--------| | Adoption rate | 55% | 45% | | Issue seen | 1 | 5 | | Recover? | Yes | No | This only 1 iOS 18 instance was able to recover after 1 second after the first try, however, all iOS 26 instances were not able to recover in couple tens of seconds and less than 1 minute, the user eventually gave up. Is there a way to force app to update AASA file? Are there some iOS setting (like using a VPN) that could potentially downgrade the AASA fetch? Related Auth0 discussion: https://community.auth0.com/t/ios-application-not- recognizing-auth0-associated-domain/134847/27

Callkit call blocking problem
We tested call blocking on iOS 26 and noticed something strange: the call will not be blocked if an outgoing call was made to its number before. Nevertheless, it will be blocked if we delete the outgoing call record from the Phone.app Recents. This behavior looks like a bug and is unexpected when using our application. Was this a planned callkit change in iOS 26? Is it possible to get the correct call blocking behavior back? We set blocking rules with addBlockingEntry(withNextSequentialPhoneNumber:) and this problem is not present in iOS 18 and earlier. Thank you in advance

Open parent app from ShieldAction extension in iOS
When I tap on one of the buttons in the ShieldAction extension I want to close the shield and open the parent app instead of the shielded app. Is there any way of doing this using the Screen Time API? class ShieldActionExtension: ShieldActionDelegate {      override func handle(action: ShieldAction, for application: ApplicationToken, completionHandler: @escaping (ShieldActionResponse) -> Void) {     // Handle the action as needed.           let store = ManagedSettingsStore()               switch action {     case .primaryButtonPressed:       //TODO - open parent app       completionHandler(.defer)     case .secondaryButtonPressed:       //remove shield       store.shield.applications?.remove(application)       completionHandler(.defer)         @unknown default:       fatalError()     }   }   }

iOS 18 breaks IMAP Mail retrieval for some users
Posting here for wider visibility... All over the internet, apple discussions, etc. Seems that this is affecting thousands of people but apparently not millions...othewise we'd have a fix by now. This started showing up in iOS 18 beta and then continued into 18.0, 18.1, and now 18.2 Symptoms are unable to retrieve emails from IMAP mail server. Some have mentioned Dovecot IMAP server. This author happens to have Dovecot IMAP and yes, once iOS 18.0, 18.x was installed, email sync no longer works.

Bug: AASA file not fetched on app install
~5% of our users when downloading the iOS application from the Apple Store for the first time are unable to enrol a Passkey and experience an error saying the application is not associated with [DOMAIN]. The error message thrown by the iOS credentials API is "The operation couldn't be completed. Application with identifier [APPID] is not associated with domain [DOMAIN]" We have raised this via the developer support portal with case id: 102315543678 Question: Why does the AASA file fail to fetch on app install and is there anything that can be done to force the app to fetch the file? Can this bug be looked at urgently as it is impacting security critical functionality? Other Debugging Observations We have confirmed that our AASA file is correctly formatted and hosted on the Apple CDN. Under normal circumstances the association is created on install and Passkey enrolment works as intended. We have observed that when customers uninstall/reinstall the app this often, but not always, resolves the issue. We also know this issue can resolve itself overtime without any intervention. We have ruled out network (e.g VPN) issues and have reproduced the issue across a number of different network configurations. We have ruled out the Keychain provider and have reproduced it across a variety of different providers and combinations of. We observed this across multiple versions of the iOS operating system and iPhone hardware including the latest hardware and iOS version.

Home App Intermittent Hub Not Responding Bug
I'm encountering a strange behavior with one of my home's on Home app while I'm off network. When I launch the app it indicates that the hub is not responding and all of my devices are unavailable. However, on the menu bar at the bottom if I switch to "Automation" and back to "Home" the pop-up goes away and my devices are accessible again (sometimes this take a few attempts). Siri is also able to consistently control my devices without an issue. The same behavior occurs with Home app on other devices (e.g. Mac) and with other members that have access to the household. 3rd party HomeKit app like "Controller" does not have an issue. This issue began with iOS 26 and I haven't had much luck resolving the issue. I already tried rebooting everything, including removing and re-adding an Apple TV (home hub). I have other homes shared with me in Home App with similar network/environment that are still working. The home I'm having issues has the most number of devices though (over 100+).

DeviceActivityMonitor is overcounting screen time for users on iOS 17.6.1
Our app uses a 24-hour DeviceActivityMonitor repeating schedule to send users notifications for every hour of screen time they spend on their phone per day. Notifications are sent from eventDidReachThreshold callbacks at 1, 2, 3, etc, hour thresholds to keep them aware of their screen time. We have recently received an influx of emails from our users that after updating to iOS 17.6.1 their DeviceActivityMonitor notifications are saying their screen time was much higher than what is shown in DeviceActivityReport and their device's Screen Time settings. These users have disabled "Share Across Devices" - but I suspect the DeviceActivityMonitor is still getting screen time from their other devices even though that setting is turned off. Has anybody else noticed this, understands what is causing this, or could recommend a fix that we can tell our users to do?

App Intent title and other localized strings not showing correctly in Shortcuts app on macOS 15
I rarely use the Shortcuts app, so it took me a while to notice that my app's app intents all show incorrectly on macOS 15. On macOS 14 and 13, they used to show correctly, but now it seems that all localized strings show the key rather than the localized value. @available(iOS 16.0, macOS 13.0, *) struct MyAppIntent: AppIntent { static let title = LocalizedStringResource("key1", comment: "") static let description = IntentDescription(LocalizedStringResource("key2", comment: "")) ... } In Localizable.xcstrings file I have defined all the strings, for instance I have associated key1 with the value Title, but while the Shortcuts app used to display Title, it now displays key1. Is this a known issue or did something change in macOS 15 that would require me to update something?

weatherkit: failed to generate jwt token
Hey, I'm trying to update my old app that used DarkSky to WeatherKit, and struggling. I always get: ailed to generate jwt token for: com.apple.weatherkit.authservice with error: Error Domain=WeatherDaemon.WDSJWTAuthenticatorServiceListener.Errors Code=2 "(null)" This is regardless if I do it on my iPad, or in the simulator. I have done the following: Selected WeatherKit on the Capabilities and App Services tabs of the Identifier section on developer. Put it under signing and capabilities in XCode I've tried making a new provisioning profile, cleaning build folder, etc. Not sure what to do here. I suspect part of this problem is that I developed this app in 2018 and now I'm trying to update it. I am able to run the app on TestFlight, but not as an internal tester. Apple won't let me, so I have to add myself as an external tester. Thanks for any help you can provide!

[macOS] CoreSpotlight importer using CSImportExtension failing to index
I've been trying to add a CoreSpotlight indexer to my macOS application. The new template for the indexer uses the new appex CSImportExtension style importer. I've been following this -> https://developer.apple.com/documentation/corespotlight/csimportextension I changed the CSSupportedContentTypes in the Info.plist file to the correct file type uti. I added a dummy value into the attributes (see code below) - just setting contentDescription to 'noodle' (easy to search for) class ImportExtension: CSImportExtension {   override func update(_ attributes: CSSearchableItemAttributeSet, forFileAt: URL) throws {     // Add a dummy value, and see whether spotlight finds it     attributes.contentDescription = "noodle" } } I have a number of files on disk that match the uti (and can be found when I search by the file name) Yet, when I build and run my app, the a spotlight search for 'noodle' finds no results. Can anyone give me any advice? I cannot find any indication that the ImportExtension is called (although when I put a log message at the start of the update() call there's no message in the console which seems to suggest it's not being called). Is there any way of debugging this? Cheers and thanks -- Darren.

Issue with Universal Links and App Extension (ShieldAction Handler)
Issue with Universal Links and App Extension (ShieldAction Handler) I'm currently working on a POC app using the FamilyControls framework and facing an issue when trying to open a Universal Link from an app extension, specifically from a ShieldAction handler. When I try to open a Universal Link, I encounter the following error: Failed to open URL https://sixteen-server-c008110f8759.herokuapp.com/.well-known/apple-app-site-association: Error Domain=FBSOpenApplicationServiceErrorDomain Code=1 "The request to open 'com.apple.mobilesafari' failed." UserInfo={BSErrorCodeDescription=RequestDenied, NSUnderlyingError=0x14f2d90b0 {Error Domain=FBSOpenApplicationErrorDomain Code=3 "Application com.sixteen.life is neither visible nor entitled, so may not perform un-trusted user actions." UserInfo={BSErrorCodeDescription=Security, NSLocalizedFailureReason=Application com.sixteen.life is neither visible nor entitled, so may not perform un-trusted user actions.}} Context: I’m using a ShieldAction handler as part of an App Extension to trigger the action (e.g., "Break in Shield") in my app. The app extension (ShieldAction handler) is responsible for trying to open the Universal Link. I’m encountering the error because the app is not visible or entitled to perform this action, which seems to be related to security restrictions when using App Extensions. Questions: App Extension and Universal Link Interaction: Is it possible for an App Extension (like ShieldAction handler) to open a Universal Link or trigger an external app, such as Safari, even though it is not the foreground app? Entitlements for App Extensions: Are there any specific entitlements or permissions required to allow an app extension (ShieldAction handler) to open Universal Links or perform actions like opening Safari from the background? App Visibility and State: How can I ensure that my app is in the right state (visible/active) and has the necessary entitlements to trigger these actions when running in the context of an app extension? Workaround: If this behavior is restricted due to app extension limitations, what would be the recommended workaround to handle launching external apps (like Safari) or Universal Links from within an app extension?

Live Caller ID Lookup Extension - No option in phone settings
iOS 18 (22A3354) will not offer a option in settings (> Apps > Phone) after calling openSettings to enable live caller id lookup extension. iPhone and MacBook are in the same network. The PIRService runs on MacBook and is reachable via iPhone Safari (via http://MacBookPro:8080/). Hummingbird print log: hb_method=GET hb_uri=/ [Hummingbird] Request. After deploying the application via Xcode to the iPhone no requests are printed in the terminal. The extension was added like documented and bundle id is also checked multiple times. issuerRequestUri in service-config.json is http://MacBookPro:8080/issue. As far as I can tell, everything has been set up in accordance with the Testing Live Caller ID instructions. Is there something missing?
