Any update during WWDC26 on UWB direction-finding for 3rd party devices using the NI framework, etc?
Kind folks, Was all setup for online access to several Q&A sessions at this WWDC, even posted some questions. But other priorities on my project prevented me from attending. Did any of you hear any news on direction finding with 3rd party devices at this year's WWDC? My current understanding is that (for iPhones later than 15) the NI framework returns null for direction. Apple recommends use of the ARkit in conjunction with NI (tech session way back in WWDC22!) FYI, I've been trying hard to get any information on this topic. Would be happy to share what public information/speculation I've found (including how Apple get's such good range and direction info in their Find My app for their AirTag 2 😉). Perhaps we can set up a small discussion group for sharing insights and experiences with emerging UWB technology. Comments appreciated. Mike

Siri Waitlisted Come On
It’s been since the end of WWDC Keynote, I’m still waitlisted for “New Siri” iOS 27 is done indexing. This is ridiculous. How many years I’ve been paying for a developer membership and they cannot release a simple plist file to open up the servers and let us in. Only the first that downloaded in the first 10 minutes got it while the rest of us that downloaded in the first 30 minutes are still waiting. its insane.

App stuck in “Waiting for Review” since June 6
Hi everyone, I’m having an ongoing issue where my app submissions seem to sit in Waiting for Review for unusually long periods before Apple starts reviewing them. My current submission has been stuck in Waiting for Review since June 6 at 12:56 PM. This is not the first time this has happened. I’ve had previous submissions also take much longer than expected to even move into review. I understand review times can vary, but it seems like my app is repeatedly getting delayed at the Waiting for Review stage rather than actually being reviewed. I have not received a rejection, message, metadata issue, or request for more information. The submission just stays in the queue. Has anyone else experienced repeated delays like this? Is there anything in App Store Connect that can cause an app to keep getting stuck before review starts, such as subscription review, metadata, screenshots, compliance questions, app category, or account-level issues? Would the best next step be to contact Apple Developer Support, submit an App Review inquiry, or request an expedited review? Any advice would be appreciated.

WAITLISTED FOR 4 DAYS & COUNTING!!!
4 days and still waitlisted. I’m using an iPhone 16 Pro Max, one of the devices Apple heavily promoted for Apple Intelligence. As an early adopter, it’s disappointing to install the beta, take the risks, and still be unable to access the features after 4 days. What’s even more concerning is that the new Siri appears to have limitations, partly due to the device’s 8GB RAM, preventing users from fully experiencing the next generation of Apple Intelligence. I encourage Apple to continue optimizing and improving the new Siri so iPhone 16 Pro Max users can fully benefit from the Apple Intelligence experience that was promised and advertised. Early adopters should be able to take full advantage of the capabilities of their devices. #AppleIntelligence #Siri #iPhone16ProMax #iOS27 #AppleFeedback

iPhone 16 pro still says "Indexing in progress" after 29 hours. Anyone experiencing this as well?
"On an iPhone 16 Pro running iOS 27 Developer Beta 1, the system search index has remained stuck on 'Indexing in progress' for 29 hours following Siri app access approval at 3 PM yesterday. The local file system is unburdened—there are no complex media or custom font directories present, and third-party app assets are strictly isolated within standard sandboxed containers. This indicates that the Beta 1 indexing persistence is an architectural logic stall or an authentication validation loop triggered by the waitlist activation token, rather than a storage-volume bottleneck."

Window dragging (via Title Bar) fails over Chrome Remote Desktop after updating to macOS 27 Golden Gate Beta
Hi everyone, I recently updated my Mac to macOS 27 Golden Gate Beta and have encountered a strange issue with window management over a remote connection. Issue: When connected to my Mac via Chrome Remote Desktop (CRD), I can no longer move application windows by dragging their title bars (outer frames). Details: Curiously, I can still drag and move individual tabs within apps (like Chrome or Terminal), which means mouse drag input itself is being transmitted correctly to the OS. This issue only happens when attempting to drag the window title bar/frame over a remote session. Local mouse/trackpad control works perfectly. Everything was working completely fine before the update to macOS 27 Golden Gate Beta. What I've tried so far (with no success): Toggled Accessibility permissions off and on for ChromeRemoteDesktopHost and restarted the Mac. Disallowed and re-allowed Screen Recording permissions. Completely re-installed the Chrome Remote Desktop host application. Disabled "Tile windows by dragging to screen edges" in System Settings to avoid snapping conflicts. It seems like WindowServer or the system-level window management is blocking or ignoring virtual mouse drag inputs specifically on title bars since this beta update. Has anyone else experienced this on macOS 27 Golden Gate Beta, or is there a known API change / security restriction in this version that affects remote input handling for WindowServer? Any insights or workarounds would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello, I would like to cancel my pending Individual-to-Organization membership migration. My business is registered as a sole proprietorship (preduzetnik in Serbia), which I understand does not qualify as a legal entity for an Organization membership. I therefore wish to remain enrolled as an Individual. Please cancel the migration and restore full access to my Individual account, which is currently blocked in the transition state. I have an app live on the App Store (ReceiptStorm) and need to be able to submit updates. Thank you, Borislav

Could Apple consider replacing traditional BSD utilities with uutils?
This idea is based on a few key points: GNU Coreutils has essentially become the de facto standard with the widespread adoption of GNU/Linux. Apple has been attracting modern developers by being 'Linux-like' (via POSIX-compliant), especially since Linux has largely won the race in the general-purpose Unix-like OS space. Adopting uutils would allow scripts to run much more seamlessly across macOS and Linux. uutils is compatible with GNU Coreutils, and its MIT license avoids the strict restrictions associated with GPLv3. By aligning base commands more closely with Linux, I think this would give macOS another compelling advantage over WSL2 for developers.

External Display Issue on macOS Golden Gate 27 Developer Beta (M4 Pro)
Hello everyone, I am currently running the macOS Golden Gate 27 Developer Beta and am experiencing an issue with external displays. I am only able to connect one external display successfully. Any additional external displays I try to plug in do not work or are not recognized by the system. Here are the details of my setup: Mac Model: 16-inch MacBook Pro (Apple M4 Pro, 24 GB Memory) macOS Version: macOS 27 Version 27.0 Beta (Build 26A5353q) Displays: Two LG UltraFine 5K Thunderbolt displays Connection Type: Connected directly using two separate Apple Thunderbolt 4 cables Troubleshooting steps already taken: Restarted the Mac Tested different cables and ports Verified both displays work individually (only fails when both are connected) Has anyone else encountered this issue on this specific beta build? If so, have you found any temporary workarounds? Side note: Feedback Assistant was not working for me. I tried it in the Web, and the native App, neither of them would work. I am posting here because there was nowhere else to submit this bug report.

Can a control trigger a Shortcut without presenting the Shortcuts UI?
I'm experimenting with Controls in IOS and trying to understand behavior. When a user taps a Control that triggers a shortcut, the shortcuts UI is presented before the action completes. Is there a supported way for a control to execute the shortcut entirely in the background without displaying the shortcuts app or UI? Unfortunately the commands are not available as intents. Or is there an alternative appintent to Run Shortcut with the URL? Lastly, does the user need to install the shortcut as well as the control or does the control "embed" both. Thanks.

Network Socket Background Task
Hello everyone, I have developed an app that is a local networking monitor app for a specific building automation protocol. I have searched the forum and I think I have found some older posts regarding this topic but I could not figure out if my issue falls under the same category. So my app allows the user to connect to local protocol devices, and start a monitor session where they can see incoming/outgoing packets. The connections are UDP or TCP and require opening a socket. Currently, backgrounding the app will make the OS terminate the socket connection, therefore ending the monitor, even if the app is backgrounded by user, to let's say, perform some other task in their phone. I have several requests from users to improve the app by allowing the monitor to continue while the app is backgrounded. However, by reading the relevant documents, I have found this to be almost impossible in iOS app. I have considered: Remote Push Notifications (APNs): The app operates on LAN so this is not an option, since I do not have an infrastructure to somehow send notifications to keep app process alive. Background Tasks (BGTaskScheduler): Not my case, since I do not want periodic execution. The app requires continuous socket listening. VoIP, VPN, or Audio Background Modes: My app does not fall under any of these categories, even though this would solve my situation. By searching around a bit more, I might be able to use either BGProcessingTask, which would allow my app at least to run for some minutes and show the user that they have to foreground it in order to not stop the monitor process, or maybe even App Intents framework. Has anyone faced similar requirement for their app? Any tip or point to a direction I should investigate more? Thanks, Nikos

App Store Connect: Submission Still in “Waiting for Review” Since May 28 Despite Approved Expedited Review (No Status Change)
Hello, I am requesting clarification from Apple engineers or or experienced developers regarding a potential App Store Connect review queue issue. Current status: App remains in “Waiting for Review” No transition to “In Review” at any point Timeline: Initial submission: May 28, 2026 Status has remained “Waiting for Review” since initial submission. Expedited review request: Approved by Apple Support but No visible change in App Store Connect status Support history: I have followed up multiple times (approximately 4 messages) through the same Apple Support case regarding this issue, but I have not yet received a response or clarification. Case reference: Case ID: 102907712466 At this point, I am trying to understand whether this behavior is expected or if there may be a queue assignment or processing issue preventing the submission from being picked up, even after expedited approval. Specifically: Is it normal for a submission to remain in “Waiting for Review” after expedited approval? Or could this indicate a processing or queue assignment issue in App Store Connect? Any clarification from Apple engineers or experienced developers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Anyone else seeing this really bizarre glitch on iOS 27 Dev Beta?
Hey! I opened the settings app on my phone, went into general and then about, and then under “Parts and Service History” it’s displayed as “PARTS_AND_SERVICE_HISTORY“ and then when you click on that, everything else is also placeholders too. I’ve added screenshots to show what I mean.
