My goal is to gradually develop my own video game using Xcode and Reality Composer Pro. The idea is to create an educational game with 3D environments and elements, so I also want to learn programming, experience design, and 3D content creation as I progress ⭐️ At the moment, I don't have much money to afford to hire developers to mentor me or take expensive courses 😔( My mother is sick and all our resources and budget are focused on her and her treatment. ) but I do have something I think is very important: a strong desire to learn, time, and the willingness to study and practice. I don't expect someone else to do the project for me; I want to learn how to build it myself. My main question is: where should I begin? I already have experience playing Swift Playgrounds, and I find it fascinating 🤩 but I'm looking for the next step: I'd like to know what Apple concepts, courses, documentation, or resources you would recommend I study first to learn how to use Xcode and Reality Composer Pro correctly, especially with the Apple Developer tutorials. Which videos specifically do you recommend I study? If anyone started in a similar way or has experience developing apps or games with these tools, I would greatly appreciate any advice on a learning path. I’m seeing a reproducible UI bug with Spotlight on macOS 27 RC (26A428). The issue has been present since at least build 26A5416b (Developer Beta 6 / Public Beta 4), persisted through subsequent beta releases, and is still reproducible on RC 26A428. When I open Spotlight using the new Search or Ask interface and begin typing, the entered query text can become completely invisible from approximately the second character onward, even though Spotlight continues searching and displaying results normally. The interesting part is that the issue seems tied to Spotlight updating its search results. For example: Open Spotlight. Type a character that quickly matches something on the Mac. Continue typing. Once the results update, the query text becomes invisible. If I type random characters extremely quickly, before Spotlight has time to return a result for the first few characters, the text may remain visible. Another useful detail: after the query text disappears, pressing Delete/Backspace causes it to become visible again. The search itself is still functioning, the problem appears to be with rendering or state updates in the new Siri-integrated Spotlight query field, rather than with Spotlight search/indexing itself. I have reproduced this on macOS 27 RC build 26A428, including: a newly created macOS user account Safe Mode so it does not appear to be caused by user preferences, caches, login items, or third-party software. I submitted a screen recording through Feedback Assistant that clearly shows the text disappearing as results update. Feedback: FB24462893 Is anyone else seeing this on the RC? The correlation between the text disappearing and the results UI updating makes me suspect a rendering/state-update issue in the new Spotlight interface.

I submitted enhancement request FB24804559 for a system-wide scrolling screenshot feature in iOS. The idea is a “Capture More” option after taking a screenshot, similar to Android. iOS would continue capturing while scrolling, and the user could choose the exact endpoint. Ideally, this should work in any scrollable app where technically possible and save the result as one long image. This would be especially useful for Messages, Mail, Settings, social media, lists and other scrollable content.

I have a Mac Mini M4 with an LG 32" monitor. I have a 1 TB external SSD that I want to run Golden Gate beta. I was running both Sonoma on the M4 and Sonoma beta on the EHD. For some reason, maybe the beta required or did a firmware update, the M4 crashed with an amber light. Had to take the M4 into a Genius Bar to get reset. If I run Golden Gate on an EHD is there a possibility that I might run into a firmware issue? Is that possible? Any comments on the above and any tips on installing Golden Gate on the EHD? OT

While testing the watchOS 27 beta, I noticed that the standalone Walkie-Talkie app has been removed from the system. Walkie-Talkie has always been a great, lightweight way to stay connected. Much like Digital Touch, it’s one of those quick, low-friction features that makes the watch feel uniquely personal for communication throughout the day. I am really hoping its absence is just a temporary beta omission rather than a permanent retirement of the feature. I have already submitted a request via Feedback Assistant asking the engineering team to consider keeping it in the final release. If you also rely on this app for quick wrist-to-wrist updates, I highly recommend submitting your own feedback ticket to let the team know there is still an active user base for it. In previous versions of macOS, I could drag a file from another application, such as an attachment in Mail, onto the Finder icon in the Dock. Finder would then expose available Finder windows, allowing me to continue holding the dragged file, move into the desired Finder window, navigate through folders using spring-loaded folder behavior, and ultimately drop the file into a nested destination. Are others seeing this?

Hi folks, I experience nausea and visual discomfort when looking at the screens on my Apple devices. However, I’ve noticed that this discomfort goes away when I switch to beta versions of iOS or macOS. While trying to narrow down the cause, I found that the following changes also eliminate my symptoms on the stable release of macOS: On my MacBook Pro, changing the display preset from “Apple XDR Display (P3-1600 nits)” to “Apple Display (P3-600 nits).” On my MacBook Air (M5, 15-inch), changing the color profile from “Color LCD” to “Display P3.” These observations make me wonder whether the issue could be related to gamma curves or how colors and brightness are rendered, though I’m not sure. On my iPhone, I haven’t found any display settings that provide similar relief. So far, switching to an iOS beta has been the only thing that helps. Has anyone experienced something similar? Could any display experts or Apple engineers offer insight into what might explain this, or suggest settings I could test? Thanks!

Gidday I hope that I have posted this in the correct thread. We have had an app developed on behalf of a not-for-profit organisation that I volunteer with, and part of my role is to report every month on the total number of installations for this app. Previously, I have been able to log on to "App Store Connect" and select the app, then Analytics and on the right-hand side of the page, the date range for the life of the app. Then it would show me the total number of installations for the app's life. Can anyone out there show me how to go about this now, considering that the total date range has been removed or am I missing this entirely?
