ZSH Won't Run an M1 Command Line Tool Built in Xcode
I have a command line tool that zsh refuses to run when built for Apple Silicon or as a univerisal binary (the specific message is zsh: killed TOOL_NAME). I can only get it to run if I build it exclusively for Intel/Rosetta. Running/debugging from within Xcode works fine for any architecture. The tool is a very simple C/C++ unix command-line tool; it doesn't have any external dependencies beyond the C runtime and the C++ STL. I suspect something in code signing is going awry, but I've tried various team and certificate combinations without any luck. I've also tried enabling/disabling the app sandbox, also without any luck. (The app is not for distribution so it doesn't really need to be code signed at all.) Any suggestions?

Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles not showing for team
Hello, we are struggling for hours with the following issue: I have an individual developer account and since yesterday I'm member of developer team with an own organization account. I have access to an app in the team account as an "App-Manager", also the option "Access to Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles" is activated and I can see that it is activated for my account in AppstoreConnect. In "Apple Developer" I can also see the team and can switch to. But then I do not see the "Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles" menu entry. Also the team is not showing up in XCode. What am I missing? Thanks and regards Philipp

App record creation error at validation
Hi, I developed an app and trying to publish but at the validation state i'm getting two errors. The errors as follows: (1) App record creation failed due to an invalid input. Request failed with the error code "STATE_ERROR.APP_CREATE.PLATFORM_NOT_ALLOWED_DUE_TO_CONTRACT_STATE", and reason "One or more platforms cannot be created for this app due to your provider's contract state. Creation of apps for the platform(s) iOS is not available due to your provider's contract state." (2) App record creation failed due to an invalid attribute. Request failed with error code "ENTITY_ERROR.ATTRIBUTE.REQUIRED", and reason "The provided entity is missing a required attribute You must provide a value for the attribute 'companyName' with this request" Which inputs and attributes are causing these errors? Thanks in advance.

FileProvider fails to trigger re-enumeration
I'm working on a FileProvider which allows access to encrypted files in Dropbox; I can successfully read and present the decrypted files, so I know it's basically working. But I'm having problems getting FileProvider to re-enumerate a folder when its encryption status changes. When the FileProvider receives an update notification saying a folder is now encrypted, I use signalEnumerator to re-enumerate the folder: FileProviderExtension.manager?.signalEnumerator(for: existingItem.itemIdentifier, completionHandler: { (ourError : Error?) -> Void in       if let ourError = ourError {           log("notifyCallback: mount / unmount failed re-enumeration: \(ourError)")       } else {           log("notifyCallback: mount / unmount signalled re-enumeration; pending")       } }) The log reports that the re-enumeration is pending... but as far as I can tell, neither enumerateItems nor enumerateChanges is called on the folder's item unless a Finder window is actually open for that folder. This means that, when an app other than Finder tries to access the files through the filesystem, it doesn't see the updated set of filenames. (For further reference: I've added code to both enumerateItems and enumerateChanges, so that if the call has been triggered by a recent folder-encryption notification, it retrieves a complete set of items from the Dropbox folder. If a retrieved file has an encrypted filename, it reports it as a modified item and returns its filename in-clear; if the filename isn't encrypted, it doesn't return the item (for enumerateItems) or returns it as a deleted item (for enumerateChanges). This approach seems to work successfully for listing folders with a constant state; it's only if the user encrypts / decrypts a folder without currently having a Finder window open inside that folder that I'm not seeing a refresh.) Any advice on how I can force a re-enumeration without a Finder window currently being displayed?

Scipy problems with OpenBLAS and Accelerate
I'm using M1pro and have successfully installed Numpy with Accelerate following, and it really speedup my programs. I also ran np.test() to check the correctness and every test passed. However, I can't install Scipy with Accelerate, since the official document said Accelerate has a LAPACK of too old version. I can't even find a scipy that can pass scipy.test(). I tried the codes below: conda install numpy 'libblas=*=*accelerate' conda install scipy np.test() as fails, sp.test() can't even finish conda install numpy 'libblas=*=*openblas' conda install scipy Both np.test() and sp.test() can finish, but with many failures. I believe the bugs are due to Conda. pip install --no-binary :all: --no-use-pep517 numpy pip install scipy np.test() has no failure and went fast, sp.test() uses OpenBLAS and has 3 failures. This is the best version I have found. So my question is: can we find a reliable version of scipy on M1? Considering the popularity of scipy, I think it's not a high-living expectation. And a question for Apple: is there really a plan to upgrade the LAPACK in Accelerate?

NWPathMonitor : Lost connection to the debugger
I tried to monitor the device's network status with Network framework code below. let networkMonitor = NWPathMonitor(requiredInterfaceType: .cellular) networkMonitor.pathUpdateHandler = { [weak self] path in     if path.status == .satisfied {         print("Cellular Satisfied")     } else {         print("Cellular Unsatisfied")     } } When I run the app in my iPhone(iOS 15.5) and turn cellular on/off, iPhone suddenly loses connection with XCode. Location of MacOS app when run from Xcode
I have written a small iOS app that I run as a MacOS app using the build target "My Mac (Designed for iPad)". It runs fine, however I cannot find where the app itself is installed on my system. When running the app multiple times I see that a number is appended to the title of my app is incremented indicating that old versions of the app are still installed somewhere. Where are they located on my system? Many thanks for the help!

Warning: Error creating LLDB target at path. the specified architecture 'arm64-*-*' is not compatible with 'x86_64-apple-ios13.2.0-simulator'
Every time my app runs in the simulator I see this error: Warning: Error creating LLDB target at path '/Users/aaronsmith/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Babylist-ahvzjxxrpawwqhecszqeyvjstfca/Build/Products/Debug-iphonesimulator/Babylist.app'- using an empty LLDB target which can cause slow memory reads from remote devices: the specified architecture 'arm64--' is not compatible with 'x86_64-apple-ios13.2.0-simulator' in '/Users/aaronsmith/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Babylist-ahvzjxxrpawwqhecszqeyvjstfca/Build/Products/Debug-iphonesimulator/Babylist.app/Babylist' What is this? I'm on an M1, no build issues. It makes me think the simulator is running under rosetta with x68_64. But I didn't choose to do that. Mac OS Ventura. Xcode 14 RC.

Xcode 14.0.1 does not have support for iPhone 13 Mini in interface builder
With Xcode 14, the device selection on the bottom of the storyboard canvas has changed, and the iPhone 12 and 13 mini screens are no longer there, as well as there only being one model of iPad. Is there a way to add more devices to this section? I have simulators installed for these devices, and this is the way I've been checking compatibility so far, but this is not sustainable. I appreciate any help that you can give me.

Unable to install iOS & watchOS app to iPhone, because of intents change
I've been happily building and deploying my app to my iPhone and Watch S8, and the app was ready to submit to App Store Connect last night. However, when archiving it I got an error saying that my DynamicEventSelectionIntent was in multiple extensions. It was, kind of. When I started working on the complications I copied the Widgets intents into the complications, and left the name the same, but they were not in multiple targets. It looks like the info plist only had one item in the IntentsSupported (because they're the same name), so I decided to rename them so I had a widget one and a complications one. The problem I have now is that I can't deploy to my iPhone and Watch anymore because I'm getting this error: This app contains a WatchKit app with one or more Siri Intents app extensions that declare IntentsSupported that are not declared in any of the companion app's Siri Intents app extensions. WatchKit Siri Intents extensions' IntentsSupported values must be a subset of the companion app's Siri Intents extensions' IntentsSupported values. All I've done is rename one intent, and locate every instance of it in the info plist files, and add the appropriate new one into the right places. Here's what I've got. Main App contains Widget and WidgetIntentHandler, plus Watch App, which contains Complications and ComplicationsIntentHandler. Target: Main app: (I've removed everything that has no bearing on extensions.) Target: Widget: Target: WidgetIntentHandler: Target: Watch App: Target: Complications: Target: ComplicationsIntentHandler: Please, can someone tell me what should and should not be in the various parts, as I've tried for 12 hours now and I cannot get this to deploy to my iPhone anymore :( Thanks.

How to disable Temporary Tabs in Xcode?
It's maddening. I just opened a file and now it's gone because I had the audacity to open another file. I've learned that I can double click the tab of the first file to make it a permanent tab... but, of course, I'll need to do that every time I ever open any file ever, and if I close that file and come back to it later I'm going to be constantly having to double click tabs just to make Xcode stop replacing my tabs for me. It's nuts. It's driving me insane. Please. Is there any way to just DISABLE the temporary tabs behavior? I don't find it helpful in any way and I find it to be destructive to my development workflows.

'leaks' message
My app has a debugging mode in which it invokes 'leaks' on itself. I am now seeing this message on stderr: Target process is an ancestor and permitting live process for ancestors so not generating a corpse to save resources by default. This sort of makes sense, but I would like a more detailed explanation. Is there some option I should be sending to 'leaks' to operate in a better mode? Should I be invoking it differently?

_dispatch_client_callout crash
I received the attached crash report. The problem is that the crash report does not contain the abort reason - it appears to be thrown in the GCD library with no additional information. Is it a possible deadlock? 2023-02-15_02-40-23.0077_+0100-94015bd052c4005658221a5e6279f28a75b9e92c.crash Any ideas?

Xcode cloud time out issue
We are getting following error in xcode cloud "The step invocation hit a user timeout. The xcodebuild archive invocation timed out. No activity has been detected on stdout, stderr or the result bundle in 30 minutes" We are using following env to create a build. Xcode: 14.2 Macos: Ventura 13.2.1 We didn't face any issue in Ventura 13.2.0 and we are seeing this issue in our first build using ventura 13.2.1. The difference I see between successful and failure build, I don't see "Discovering Swift tasks after 'Compiling { list of swift file " in a failed build. I see compiling { list of swift file } and end of the compilation, the build is failing.

Confused about expiring certificates
Hi all, I got the email saying my certificate(s) will be expiring in 30 days. I can view my certificates (distribution, distribution managed, and 2x developments) on my account page. The distribution expires in 30 days (4/20/2023) The distribution managed expires in 6 months Development #1 (under my name) expires in 30 days (4/20/2023) Development #2 (also under my name) expires in 2 months (5/26/2023) However, I don't see any way to renew them. I have read other posts that talk about 'edit' or 'generate' buttons, but I don't see that and I presume those posts are just out of date. When I look in my xcode project, I see that I am using 'automatically manage singing'. Xcode also shows that a provisioning profile is expiring in 2 months. I presume that is something different? It has the same expiration date as my development #2 certificate (5/26/2023). It's also unclear what is going to happen when these certificates expire. I read that devices running builds with the expired distribution cert will stop working. Is that just for internal builds downloaded from something like Test Flight? Will live builds, downloaded by actual players from the AppStore, stop working if I don't push a release with a new cert in the next month? I am the one that set this all up and 'maintains' it, but I don't engage with it often enough to remember the bits and bobs. My apologies for all the newbie questions. Thank you for your assistance
