I am a developer working on an iOS enterprise application. When I deployed the release version to my device, it crashes upon startup. It works fine in debug mode on my device.
The app is an upgraded version of Xamarin Form to .NET MAUI.
I have attached a crash report.
I would appreciate any help/insights on how to resolve.

Routinely I'll have additional questions when browsing the Apple Developer Documentation. Would be really convenient if we could just submit that feedback from the documentation webpage itself, Apple could have the data, and potentially down the line address it; but at least you'd have the data.
For example, I'm looking at the documentation for AttributedString: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/foundation/attributedstringprotocol/index(_:offsetbycharacters:)
Now, I would like to know what would happen if the distance brought the position past the end, what would be returned. Because it's non-optional which I imagine would imply nil would be returned if the parameters were invalid. But it doesn't say.
I run into these small missing behavioral details with some regularity and imagine others do as well. It would be really great if we could just submit that discrepancy and perhaps see some numbers on the page of the total number of discrepancies submitted or something so we can see that it's not just us and have some peace of mind that based on the amount of feedback submitted there's a higher chance that this discrepancy will be addressed in the future.
I am building an iOS app with the App ID: com.echo.eyes.app
I have a paid Apple Developer membership and have followed all correct procedures, including:
Adding com.apple.developer.speech-recognition manually to the App.entitlements file
Setting Info.plist keys for microphone and speech permissions
Assigning my Apple Developer Team to the project
Setting App/App.entitlements under Code Signing Entitlements
Despite all this, Xcode automatic signing fails, and I receive the error:
vbnet
Copy
Edit
Provisioning profile 'iOS Team Provisioning Profile: com.echo.eyes.app' doesn't include the com.apple.developer.speech-recognition entitlement.
I am unable to add the entitlement via the Capabilities section, and no method I try will allow provisioning to succeed.
Please update this App ID to include the required entitlement in the provisioning profile. This issue is preventing all voice recognition functionality.
Thank you.
What happen when a deprecated method is used in project submitted to Apple Store Connect ?
Generally the Apple documentation give the alternative like "Use ***: instead" but sometime the documentation do not suggest anything.
What to do when a such Warning happen ?
Is this a valid thing to include in the Info.plist file?
If so is a category of public.app-category.astronomyvalid? I couldn't find that, but the categories I did find seemed very limited.
Hello,
Good morning to you all. Please I need a guide on how to change my app icon on the developer account. Necessary steps would be appreciated
Thanks for the anticipated assistance.
Best Regards
Biggie

In SF Symbols 7 (115), there are 458 symbols missing Availability info. I only discovered this after using one that didn’t appear in iOS 18 but does in iOS 26.
Questions:
Are there plans to add Availability info for all symbols?
If the field is blank, is there a safe latest-OS version we can assume?
I realize managing 7,000+ icons is tough, but missing info like this makes development frustrating. It doesn't help that there's no build warning when a named image isn't found, it just defaults to the text label.

Hello,
There seems to be a regression with macOS SDK 15 and dynamically loading libraries if Address Sanitizer is turned on. Seems to only affect Debug builds, and .frameworks. I've also reported this via the Feedback Assistant: FB16513866
Here's a minimal repro, if anyone is interested: https://gist.github.com/peter-esik/6b00432e411be85333e14ae7d953966e
I thought I'd post this here, as according to my web searches, this isn't a very well-known bug at this point.
How can I get the macOS version from the Mac Catalyst version? We're building Info.plist files ourselves but we need a way to programatically (using shell scripts) derive the LSMinimumSystemVersion key needed from the iOS deployment target.
Certainly! Below is a structured report you can use to submit to Apple Developer Support, Feedback Assistant, or share with the ad network for escalation. This report is tailored based on the logs and forensic analysis we’ve conducted.
Structured Report: SKAdNetwork Attribution Failures
Subject/Title:
Critical SKAdNetwork Attribution Failures (Bug Type: 237, Failure Type: 1201 in ASDErrorD
We are encountering repeated SKAdNetwork attribution failures (failureType: 1201 in ASDErrorDomain) for ad impression events processed through the ad network mj797d8u6f.skadnetwork. These failures are causing significant revenue losses, as ad impressions are not being properly attributed to installs.
The issue occurs across multiple campaigns and involves both SKAdNetwork API 3.0 and 4.0, suggesting a systemic problem with attribution validation or network communication.
This problem is critical as it disrupts advertisers’ ability to track conversions, optimize campaigns, and allocate budgets effectively.

Failure Details:
• Failure Type: 1201
• Failure Domain: ASDErrorDomain
• Ad Network ID: mj797d8u6f.skadnetwork
• API Versions Affected: 3.0, 4.0
• Timeframe of Failures: All logs occur within 2025-01-07 22:00:00 UTC to 23:00:00 UTC.
Environment:
• OS Version: iOS 18.2.1 (Build 22C161).
• Device Type: iPhone (hardwareFamily: iPhone).
• App Configuration: Includes the ad network ID in the Info.plist under SKAdNetworkItems.
Impact Details
Financial Loss:
• Based on failure rates, we estimate $20–$65/day per advertiser for small campaigns and $75–$375/day per advertiser for larger campaigns.
• If 100 advertisers are affected, daily losses range from $2,000–$37,500.
• Over a week, losses could exceed $70,000 to $262,500 or more.
2. Operational Impact:
• Advertisers cannot track installs or optimize campaigns, leading to inefficient ad spending and potential budget reallocation to other networks.
• Damaged trust between advertisers and the ad network.
3. Reputation Risk:
• Continued failures harm the credibility of the SKAdNetwork framework, critical in a post-ATT (App Tracking Transparency) ecosystem.
Steps to Reproduce
Serve an ad impression through the ad network mj797d8u6f.skadnetwork.
Monitor SKAdNetwork attribution for that impression.
Observe repeated failures (failureType: 1201) despite the resultType: finalized status.
Recommendations for Investigation
Attribution Timeout:
• Verify if these failures stem from delayed responses or missed attribution windows.
2. Ad Network Configuration:
• Confirm the ad network’s integration complies with SKAdNetwork API 3.0 and 4.0 requirements.
3. Infrastructure Review:
• Investigate potential bottlenecks or failures in Apple’s attribution servers (ASDErrorDomain) or communication delays.

Hi,
Problem
When playing videos on the Developer app on the Mac, there is no full screen button for the video.
So it is not possible to play the video in full screen.
Note
I am not referring to the app going into full screen, the issue is with there is no option to play the video in full screen.
Environment
OS: macOS 26.2 (25C56)
Developer app: Version 10.8.3 (1083.3.1)

Question
Are others also facing this issue?
Is there a workaround?
Suggestion
This seems to be recurring problem that seems get broken with app / OS releases.
Please write some UI tests to ensure the full screen button is present.
Would really appreciate if this gets fixed.

I'm developing for compliance with Texas law in the United States.
Currently, I'm encountering an issue where I want to test the feature point "when the app undergoes significant changes, a supervised user initiates a request." However, during actual testing, the app pops up an error message: "Can't Ask, An Unknown error occurred."
Additionally, I see the following error message in the Xcode Console: "Error Domain=AskToCore.ATMessageComposeValidationError Code=4 'The user is in a region that does not support this type of ask.' UserInfo={NSLocalizedFailureReason=The user must be in a supported region to use this feature., NSLocalizedRecoverySuggestion=Please ensure the user is in an eligible region., NSLocalizedDescription=The user is in a region that does not support this type of ask.}"
I am indeed not in the Texas region.
I want to conduct full-process testing before the feature is released to the App Store.
What should I do?
Apart from Sandbox testing (which, in fact, doesn't show any pop-ups either), how can I test under real-world conditions?
I'm running macOS 15.5. I now have Xcode 26 and I'm testing my iOS app against iOS 26. I've encountered several UIKit / iOS 26 bugs I'd like to report. In Feedback Assistant I choose "Developer Technologies & SDKs". Eventually I get asked "What build does the issue occur on?". The list of choices is:
iOS 18.2 Seed 4
iOS 18.1.1
iOS 17.7.2
An earlier iOS build
I'm not sure
So how to I report this as an iOS 26 beta 1 issue?
My application targets iOS 15+. Attempting to build and run it on my iPhone SE (orphaned at iOS 15.6) results in "Failed to prepare the device for development."
I'm building with Xcode 15.2.
What is the expected procedure here?
Hi, We are seeing the below error in our angular application where we use the custom elements. Can you please help us to resolve the issue?
[Error] TypeError: new.target does not define a custom element.
The same code works fine in other browsers.

I'm trying to upload an update to an iOS app. Xcode goes through the usual dialogue and then immediately gets stuck on "Sending Analysis to App Store Connect..."
Since the Xcode GUI doesn't provide any helpful information, I looked in Console. I can see Xcode completing an SSL handshake, then reporting that it "received viability advisory", followed by boringssl_context_handle_fatal_alert "level: fatal, description: bad record mac". After this it starts the SSL handshake again. It will cheerfully do this round and round forever without ever reporting a problem to the user.
I found a similar post, which has one response about stripping bitcode from libraries (with no explanation as to why this would help), but my app does not include bitcode.
I've updated to the latest version of Xcode incase there was some incompatibility, and rebuilt my app because, while that should be irrelevant to an SSL handshake, I'd expect someone to ask.
Does anybody know what is going on and how to fix it?
I have static libraries and headers of a C++ project that I believe are correctly built for iOS and iOS Simulator destinations. The C++ project is built via CMake with something like:
cmake dirName \
-G "Unix Makefiles" \
-B buildDir \
-DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=installDir \
-DCMAKE_SYSTEM_NAME=iOS \
-DCMAKE_SYSTEM_PROCESSOR=arm64 \
-DCMAKE_OSX_ARCHITECTURES=arm64 \
-DCMAKE_OSX_SYSROOT=$(xcrun --sdk iphonesimulator --show-sdk-path) \
-DCMAKE_OSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET=15.0
...
cmake --build buildDir --config Release --target install
I believe those are all the important parameters. This gives me a static library (.a) and headers that I believe should be compatible with arm64 iOS simulators, and I do this same thing for x86_64 architecture with simulators and for actual iOS non-simulator via the iphoneos SDK path.
I'm pretty sure this gives me the correct static lib and headers. Let's assume it does because I'm not able actually create the XCFramework to know if they're right. This does work with a macOS lib and headers, but I need iOS for this library. How do I package this into an XCFramework now?
This Apple developer articles says I should be a able to create an xcframework via xcodebuild -create-xcframework -library libName.a -headers include but when I try to do this with my my iOS arm64 simulator static lib I get:
error: binaries with multiple platforms are not supported '/Users/.../install/ios-arm64-simulator/libName.a
But, when I run: lips -info libName.a I get Non-fat file libName.a is architecture arm64, so, I'm not sure what to do here. Trying to extract arm64 from that static library also produces an error as it it is just an arm64 lib.
I'm not really sure what's going on, but from reading online this specific command, xcodebuild -create-xcframework is a consistent pain point in the process of trying to get an XCFramework, and the seemingly only workaround is to archive a framework project and then create the xcframework via xcodebuild -create-xcframework -archive MyFramework.xcarchive -framework[or -library].
However, how am I supposed to get this static lib and headers into a suitable xcodeproj so that I can archive it correctly? Everytime I try to copy the headers and static lib into the Framework xcodeproj and set what I believe are all the correct settings, my .xcarchive is always empty.
Does anyone have any advice here on how to get this to work?
The main impetus for trying to get this C++ static lib and headers into an XCFramework as that seems like the only valid way to link a 3rd party C++ lib to an SPM package and have the C++ package be interfaceable with Swift.
I observed the following problem:

Hello,
I'm developing a macOS application that uses the Virtualization framework to run Linux virtual machines (specifically Ubuntu and Fedora) on Apple Silicon Macs.
I've noticed that while the macOS host properly supports all trackpad gestures, the two-finger tap gesture for right-click does not work within the Linux guest. Only the primary click is recognized. This behavior is consistent across different Linux distributions and desktop environments (GNOME, KDE, etc.).
I would like to confirm:
Is the macOS Virtualization framework expected to support trackpad gestures such as two-finger tap for right-click within Linux guest VMs?
If not currently supported, is there a known workaround to enable right-click functionality for the trackpad in Linux guests? (e.g., configuration changes in the VM, Linux kernel input modules, or framework-level adjustments.)
Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
