Making music….
Maybe a bit of a simplistic question, but…. Best ways to create music - programmatically - within an app? I have a few small, simple games that I would like to add some background music to. I’ve fiddled with AVAudio, SKAudio, and now AudioKit. I’m just not quite finding the holy grail of music generation. I don’t know if it’s more technique or tool. So I thought I’d hit up the pool of minds here for some suggestions…?

How to Properly Integrate Google IMA SDK for Pre-roll, Mid-roll, and Post-roll Ads in a tvOS App using TVJS and Swift?
I'm working on a tvOS application that plays video content using TVMLKit/TVJS. I'm trying to integrate Google IMA SDK to show pre-roll, mid-roll, and post-roll ads in my app. Here’s what I’ve done so far: Video playback is handled through JavaScript in application.js. Ads are managed in Swift using Google IMA SDK. I use the evaluateJavaScript bridge to control video playback from Swift. I pause and resume the TVJS player (Player object) using a function like startPlayingVideo(value) from Swift based on the ad lifecycle. Current Flow: When the video is about to start, I call loadAds() from JS. This presents a Swift ViewController that handles IMA ad requests. On adsManagerDidRequestContentPause, I pause the video using JS via the bridge. On adsManagerDidRequestContentResume, I resume the video. The Issue: This setup doesn't behave consistently: Sometimes the ad plays in the background and video started playing as well but can not see the ad. Not able to see the post-roll ads Relevant Code Snippets: application.js function startPlayingVideo(value) { if (playerReference != undefined) { if (value == true) { playerReference.play(); else { playerReference.pause(); } } } function playVideo(videoURL) { setup playerReference, push mediaItem, etc. loadAds(); player.present(); } AppDelegate.swift let loadAds: @convention(block) () -\> Void = { DispatchQueue.main.async { let adManagerVC = ViewController() AppDelegate.tvController?.navigationController.present(adManagerVC, animated: true) } } let updateVideoPlayTime: @convention(block) (Double) -\> Void = { time in CustomContentPlayhead.shared.currentTime = TimeInterval(time) } ViewController.swift func adsManagerDidRequestContentPause(\_ adsManager: IMAAdsManager) { showAdUI() playerViewController.player?.pause() } func adsManagerDidRequestContentResume(\_ adsManager: IMAAdsManager) { hideAdUI() // Expecting JS video to resume via bridge } And yeah my IMSDK Implementation is working fine if I am using it with swift AVPlayer. What I Need Help With: Best practice for coordinating video playback between JS (Player) and Swift (IMAAdsManager). How can I sync the playhead reliably between JS and Swift? Is there a better way to pause/resume TVJS player from Swift during ad lifecycle? How to reliably insert mid-roll ads when the playback is primarily controlled in JS? Any insights, code examples, or recommended architecture improvements would be greatly appreciated!

WalletUIExtention alert "Unable to add card"
I download a demo from:https://applepaydemo.apple.com/wallet-extensions And I run my WalletUIExtention, but it's failed. No such module 'UnityFramework' ,Getting this message updating Xcode to latest version
After the update of the Xcode to latest version, I’m getting “No Such Module Unity Framework” as error. the complete information is below. I had to update the Xcode and the O.S as per the Apple Requirement from my older version of 14.x to latest 16.3. I had no issued running the Unity within my iOS App till the recent update. Previous Setup: Unity was successfully integrated into this iOS app and running fine before the update. As it was working till the Xcode version 14.3, i have not changed any code relevant to Unity. What I’ve Tried: a. Added UnityFramework.framework to “Link Binary with Libraries” and marked it as “Embed & Sign”. b. Verified Framework Search Paths include $(PROJECT_DIR)/UnityProject/build/Debug-iphoneos c. Cleaned build folder, deleted Derived Data d. Checked [CP] Embed Pods Frameworks step in Build Phases Stuck On: Xcode still throws "No such module 'UnityFramework'" — it’s as if the framework isn’t being built or seen from my main project. Request for Help: Has anyone encountered this issue post-Xcode 16.3 update from 14.x. I’d really appreciate any guidance, updated workflows, or even a checklist of steps for properly integrating Unity into an existing iOS app with the new Xcode build system.

Affiliate links to external Web store
Hello all. I am currently developing a database app of particular products for people who collect this item. Let's say model airplanes. People can look at their list of model airplanes and also see a collection of airplanes by model companies. I want to offer a link from a product in my app to a local retailer's website who sells this product on their website. Not just their base site, but directly to the products page. Meaning each product in my database will have a unique link to an external product page. This could also include links to Ebay or Amazon if local retailer doesn't sell the product. Is this sort of feature allowed inside App Store Apps as technically it's not an in-app purchase? I do see some vague answers around but none that target this specific circumstance. Thankyou in advance.

Pilot Comms/headsets
Based a quick research, comfort and fit, noise cancellation issues and durability seems to be the most consistent issues with pilot headsets. I wouldn’t say there is a problem here, because you can easily throw out the faulty headset and spend another $1000 on a new one. However, what if apple can profit by introducing their version of pilot headsets? Besides, most airlines use Apple iPads for Navigation, crew scheduling etc. Make it a one stop shop. Apple already has the framework for music headsets, why not use it as a base for pilot headsets? Disrupt an already stagnant market and give pilots a great alternative. Tap into the interests of a new generation of pilots again most which already uses Apple products. Come up with a new fresh look of ‘pilot comms.’ A good idea is to pitch to the GA (general aviation) industry maybe include Apple headsets with the purchase of a new aircraft.

Alternate App Icon Change Does Not Reflect in Notification Center on iOS 18.1+
When changing the app's alternate icon using UIApplication.setAlternateIconName(_:completionHandler:), the icon is updated correctly on the Home Screen and App Switcher. However, in Notification Center, the old app icon is still shown for notifications, even after the change has completed. Rebooting or change the device's language causes the correct icon to appear. This issue only occurs on iOS 18.1 and later. In iOS 18.0 and earlier, Notification Center correctly reflects the updated icon. Could you provide insights into how iOS caches notification icons and how we can force a refresh for all users?

iOS 26 : iPhone 16 Pro not charging via USB-C
Hello, I installed iOS 26 beta 1 yesterday when it came off but now, when I plug my iPhone, it just do nothing. I can charge it via the induction charger but I can't via USB-C port. The other way I can charge it is by turning my iPhone off and plugging it so it starts and then it charges via USB-C Port even when it starts. The thing is that when I unplug the cable and try to plug it back in, it doesn't charge anymore... I tried to put the restore mode (with the Mac and the cable on the screen) and even the DFU Mode but the iPhone is not detected by my Macbook and it's the same thing for my Windows PC : not detected... I also tried to erase the settings and content but same issue... Not charging Apple Store can do nothing because it's a dev beta... Am I the only one to have that issue ?

In rare VoIP calls, B can’t hear A, but A can hear B — audio input issue on iOS?
Hi everyone, We’re seeing a rare but frustrating issue in our iOS VoIP app and would appreciate any advice. It doesn’t happen often, but once it does, the issue persists until the device is restarted. Users who experience this issue typically have other voice or conferencing apps installed and actively use them. They report that when our app runs into this problem, those other apps continue to work normally. ⸻ What we’ve ruled out: • AVAudioSession has microphone permission, and audio input works under normal conditions • Network conditions are stable • App-side logic seems solid — the issue occurs extremely rarely (e.g., 1 out of several thousand calls), making it unlikely to be caused by a consistent bug in our call flow ⸻ What we’ve tried to fix it (all ineffective): Restarting the call — no effect Force-quitting and relaunching the app — no effect Toggling Bluetooth: disconnecting and reconnecting audio route, or switching back to built-in mic — no effect Replugging wired headphones or switching to the default iPhone audio input — no effect ⸻ What actually works (so far): • Restarting the device — this is the only action that reliably fixes the issue ⸻ What we’re looking for help with: 1. Does this sound like an iOS-level AVAudioSession routing or audio stack issue? 2. Is there any way to recover from this state without rebooting the device — either through iOS system settings or programmatically? 3. Are there any known audio routing or input bugs in iOS that match this behavior? Thanks in advance — any suggestions or pointers would be greatly appreciated!

I noticed that the Uber Driver app is able to get location in background without the permissions (How?)
The Uber Driver app is able to get background location and there’s no way to turn it off from settings. Unlike other apps where there’s always an option to turn off background location from settings. Is this a bug or special treatment for big companies? this matters to me because we’re in a similar business but our app has to request background permissions, explicitly. I am attaching both of the screenshots here for you to compare and see. Please note that I verified personally that Uber Driver app is able to get background location.

Third-party apps reset and force close after launch on iOS 26 Developer Preview
Hi everyone, After updating to iOS 26 Developer Preview on my iPhone, I’m experiencing a repeated issue with certain third-party apps. ⸻ -Issue details: • The apps open as if freshly installed, showing the onboarding or login screen each time • User session is completely lost (no saved login or data) • Around 10 seconds after launch, the app automatically closes • It disappears from the app switcher (not just backgrounded) • This happens every time, with no crash message or error shown ⸻ -What I’ve tried: • Reinstalled the apps • Restarted the device • Toggled Face ID, Background App Refresh, etc. • Confirmed I’m running the latest iOS 26 Developer Preview build ➡️ Problem still occurs exactly the same way ⸻ -Feedback status: I submitted a report via Feedback Assistant with a screen recording and full reproduction steps. No response yet after several days. ⸻ -Looking for: • Confirmation from others with similar issues • Info on whether this is already being tracked by Apple • Whether it’s worth resubmitting a new Feedback report Thanks for any insight.

Selling your first app
How long was it between putting your first app on the App Store (that had a paid component to it like IAPs) and getting your first sale? I'm working on an app at the moment that I plan on putting up for a small one time fee. I'm curious to know what people's different experiences were with this. What was your app and how did it go?
