I have an app with a small but devoted following. It has not been upgraded since 2022 and has been working very well. On iOS 26 it crashes almost at startup. After hooking up to Xcode and running I get this message in the console: objc[64686]: Class PSSegment is implemented in both /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/PolarisGraph.framework/PolarisGraph (0x291ed9f78) and /private/var/containers/Bundle/Application/08486FCF-548A-467C-8BA3-D722734463FC/HikeTracker.app/HikeTracker.debug.dylib (0x101d309e8). This may cause spurious casting failures and mysterious crashes. One of the duplicates must be removed or renamed. PSSegment is the name of an entity in my Core Data managed object model. If I refactor it to P_Segment the app starts. PolarisGraph means nothing to me. The "PS" stands for Persistent Store, but in this case it seems that PolarisGraph is PSing in my sandbox. Summary of Issues Over Time March 2025: Most apps begin logging out automatically when closed April 2025: Passwords across apps and browsers begin failing May–June 2025: Gmail password reset emails stop arriving (even though other email works) These symptoms suggest something affecting secure sessions, DNS routing, or background data handling. I began running diagnostics and found unexpected system and network behaviors: Examples: com.apple.mobile.lockdown.remote.trusted file_relay.shim.remote pcapd.shim.remote webinspector.shim.remote bluetooth.BTPacketLogger.shim.remote On a normal, non-jailbroken device, I wouldn't expect so many .shim.remote or .diagnostic services to be active. Is this expected on iOS 18.5? The binary /usr/sbin/scutil appears to be missing. This breaks commands like: scutil --dns scutil --proxy scutil --nc list On a standard iOS device, is it even possible for scutil to be removed or disabled? I have a Macbook and a Mac Mini at home, connected with Universal Control. When I copy-paste some big group of files (say, 250GB of photos) the OS creates a copy of all those files under shared-clipboard in Library (filling up disk space in short time) even if I don't even move the cursor to other devices. It doesn't even delete those files and clear up disk space even after I paste it. This is a design flaw, it shouldn't be like this.

Hey everyone. Ever since installed OS26 (and 26.1 now) - whenever I fast play any video on 1.25x, 1.5x, 2x on the AppleTV - the audio gets massively distorted on HomePods. Be it on YouTube, Difuse, or any supporting app. I even tried mirroring from iPhone -same issue. Anyone else experiencing the same? I noticed no posts about troubleshooting.

I recently updated to tvOS 26 on my Apple TV 4K (1st generation) and was disappointed to find that apps I restrict no longer appear at all. In earlier versions, restricted apps would still be visible and simply prompt for a passcode — this was much more convenient for adults in the household. Now, if I restrict apps for my children, they disappear completely. To use them again, I have to go deep into settings, turn restrictions off, and even recreate the passcode each time, which is frustrating and impractical for daily use. I also tried adding a Kids user account, but most restrictions still apply system-wide. Only the Apple TV app behaves differently between users. This makes switching between parent and child accounts nearly pointless for managing access. Please consider one or both of the following: 1. Bring back the passcode-on-launch behavior for restricted apps (instead of hiding them). 2. Give each user their own isolated settings environment, like how profiles work on iOS/iPadOS or even a fresh Apple TV—this way, restrictions, home screen, and app access could be personalized. Families are a huge part of the Apple TV audience, and these recent changes have made it much harder to use the device in a shared household. Thank you!

My app has three main SwiftData models: Collection, SavedItem, and Extract. A Collection can contain subcollections (folders within folders) and SavedItems (files). Each SavedItem can have child Extracts. I'm preparing for the ability for users to be able to share Collections with each other. Currently, my architecture treats each Collection as the root of its own CloudKit zone (a root parent Collection and all of its items and subcollections live in 1 zone). This makes sharing and isolation straightforward, but it also means that moving a SavedItem or subcollection between Collections involves moving it across zones. I’m trying to figure out the best pattern for handling these cross-zone moves while keeping data integrity, relationships, and sharing intact. My understanding is that in CloudKit, and moving a record from Zone A to Zone B would require deleting it from Zone A and recreating it in Zone B - while somehow maintaining the link back to my local SwiftData store. Has anyone run into this or know how best I should handle it?

One of my clients keeps having Zoom crash when teaching classes. They do have 1 external monitor attached. Using Macbook Pro 15-inch 2017. Running Ventura 13.7.4. Bug in client of libplatform: os_unfair_lock is corrupt, or owner thread exited without unlocking Abort Cause 8192 Any idea what is happening? Do I need to submit all of the crash report?
