Hi, I recently built an app and I’m planning to publish it on the App Store. Since the Swift Student Challenge (SSC) is coming up, I’m also considering submitting the same project by converting it into a Swift Playground (with some content trimmed to meet the rules). I believe both I and the project are eligible. My question: if I publish the app on the App Store first and then submit it to SSC, could that violate the rules or lead to rejection? I also have a concern: because I’m a minor, Apple requires the App Store developer name to be my mother’s. However, the app was entirely developed by me. my mother and anyone else did not participate(My mother can't even use a computer.). I’m worried this might create confusion and make judges think I copied someone else’s work, which I did not. Would you recommend publishing on the App Store now, waiting until after SSC, or taking a different approach? Thank you.

My playground may require that the device has downloaded some resources in advance, such as Apple's advanced voice, translation language... But this is not necessary. It is just an incidental function. If it is not downloaded, the app will prompt that this function is not available and most of the other functions can continue to be used. But I want to know whether the judge's device will download these things in advance, and if not, will the judges think that there is a problem with my app that can't be used normally, which will cause my work to be rejected directly? Because my app uses the API of iOS 26, it needs to run in Xcode, and the competition allows the Apple intelligent function, but it is stipulated that if it runs with Xcode, the app will be tested on the simulator. Hello I was building my submission for contest and I noticed that my app built and ran fine on Xcode but didn't even build on swift playground, so should I be concerned about this, and where do the judges finally run and test our submitted playground is it in swift playground app or Xcode ??

This is probably a silly question, but I just want to make sure. The screenshot submission states: "Upload three screenshots of your app playground that best represent the user experience as .png or .jpg files. Do not upload handwritten notes, sketches, or outlines." For an Apple Pencil based app, can I sketch in the canvas to show the abilities of the app in the screenshots? I assume yes and that this only refers to submitting mock-ups of apps, but I wanted to be super sure I won't be going against the rules.

I applied for the Apple Developer Program on January 31, 2026, and as of today (February 5, 2026), my enrollment is still showing as Pending. The payment was completed successfully at the time of application. Since then: I have not received any requests for additional documents or verification. I have contacted Apple Developer Support twice, but have not received any response so far. I understand processing times can vary, but the lack of response from support is concerning. Has anyone else experienced similar delays recently? Is there any recommended escalation path or alternative way to reach the Developer Support team? Hello developers, i have a project for SSC that includes metal shader code. The project runs fine when I build and run it in Xcode, but it does not run in the Swift Playground app. The reason is that Swift Playgrounds doesn’t compile/build source files with the .metal extension the same way Xcode does (so the shader never gets built/loaded in Playgrounds). The requirements say: “Your app playground must be built with and run on Swift Playgrounds 4.6 or Xcode 26, or later.” Since it says “or” (not “and”), does that mean it’s acceptable if the project only builds/runs in Xcode?

How can I remove the "On My iPhone" option from the Calendar app? Like in the other picture, it doesn't show "On My iPhone" or "iCloud".

I applied to the Apple Developer Program on Jan 17 and my enrollment showed pending for several days. I eventually contacted support on the 27th and they told me they needed additional documentation and sent me a link to upload and asked me to email them once I've done so, so that they can get it reviewed quickly. On Jan 27, I uploaded the documents they requested and sent the email confirming they've been uploaded as was requested. After several days, it still says "pending". I spoke with support today and they said they have the documents and there's nothing for me to do other than wait for them to be reviewed and this "could take months". I'm in the process of purchasing a business and need this account so that they can transfer me the mobile app. My due diligence period is ending within a few days and need clarity on this approval asap. Hi Team, Looking for an answer, if it's just us or a widespread issue. Since Sept, our clients Apple devices can't load a Captive Portal on Apple devices. Client wants the CNA to pop up and I can't get it to happen! Android and Windows devices all work correctly with their respective popups, but CNA will not work. No changes done on our side and after multiple tshoots and getting vendors to take multiple PCAPs found, Apple devices are not initiating a HTTP GET request as per Meraki >> https://documentation.meraki.com/MR/MR_Splash_Page/Splash_Page_Traffic_Flow_and_Troubleshooting The work around is to force a HTTP GET request by manually going into the browser and initiate a http site (we tried 1.1.1.1, also tried other public HTTP sites and it works) and that redirects to our Captive Portal page.

Hi, I'm on a MacBook M1. Numbers and Pages notified me that 15.1 version is out and I have to download them anew from the App Store. However, in the App Store it says with both that they're 'Bought' in a greyed out button. So, I can't download them. Please help! Thanks, Ying

I recently replaced my older Macbook with a Mac Mini. My iphone charges fine from a powered USB hub, but when I connect the hub to my new Mac Mini, my phone stops charging. This is the same phone, hub, and cables that worked just fine with my Macbook. I M running Beta 26.3, but the MacBook was also on Beta 26. Anyone have any ideas?

Recently I've noticed that certain cursor actions cause the finger icon to appear with a gray box around it. It appears when I hover over other icons (for example, the menu items at the top of this website; Microsoft Teams options but not MS Word, etc.). Is this new? Is there a way to get rid of the box?
