Managed iOS/iPad devices are struck with no network under below conditions
Enrolling a Supervised iOS device
Send InstallProfile command with AppLock payload (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/devicemanagement/applock)
Now when the above managed device loses network connection with MDM server due to unknown network issues - the device is out of contact with MDM server and device is locked.
Since such AppLock payload installed devices are placed in remote locations, it becomes difficult for Admins to recover such devices with no network connectivity. The devices have to be brought in from remote location and recover them.
Under such conditions, it would be better to allow the end user to change the Network configuration manually to reconnect the device with MDM server.
This option can also be allowed only when the device can’t ping MDM server.

I'm are attempting to use the device management migration feature in Apple Business Manager / Apple School Manager (for devices running iOS 26 / iPadOS 26) to re-assign managed devices from one MDM server to another. We followed the published procedure (select device(s) → Assign Device Management → Set deadline → Continue).
However, we are observing that on the device side, no notification or prompt appears to the user (such as “Enrollment Required” or “Your organization requires this device to enroll in a different device management service”), even after the migration deadline has passed.
Here are the environment details:
Device OS version: (iOS 26.1)
Device ownership: enrolled via
Automated Device Enrollment
MDM re-assignment in ABM: old MDM server(name: https://dev5.clomo.com/panel/mackey-dev/ ) → new MDM server (name: https://obliging-bunny-equally.ngrok-free.app/ )
Deadline set: (12/10/2025 12:00 AM)
Network connectivity: confirmed online at deadline time
We would like to know:
Under what exact conditions will the device display the notification/prompt, and what common mis-configurations prevent it from appearing?
Is there any device log or activity indicator in ABM/ASM to confirm that the migration instruction has been sent to the device?
In cases where the prompt does not appear, what troubleshooting steps can we perform on the device (or in the MDM/ABM configuration) to correct it?
Hello,
I’m facing an issue while trying to add iOS devices to Apple Business Manager (ABM) using Apple Configurator during enrollment. When going through the setup process, the device fails to complete enrollment and times out.
I’ve tried it multiple times. The device does appear in ABM during the process and I am able to assign it to different MDM servers but since the setup times out and fails, the device is automatically released. I have tried this with multiple iOS devices and it times out on every single one of them.
Steps attempted:
Factory reset and re-enrollment of the device
Ensured network connectivity is stable and tested on multiple Wi-Fi networks
Tried the following process using Apple Configurator on Mac (wired):
Created a Wi-Fi profile in Configurator
Connected the iPhone via cable and used Prepare (manual configuration)
Used the “MDM server” placeholder and trusted anchors (as recommended)
Linked the device to the ABM organization
Skipped Setup Assistant steps
Attached the Wi-Fi profile, then prepared and wiped the device
Verified that the device should appear in ABM
Attempted to assign the device to my MDM in ABM
Despite these checks, the enrollment process times out.
I’m attaching a screenshot of the error for reference.
Could someone advise what might be causing this timeout or how I can further troubleshoot this? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hey all, how long does bank account validation take typically? I have everything else in my paid agreement approved and showing active except the bank account. It says 24 hours but it has been over 3 days and there has been no progress.

I am needing to access the ABM API via C#. Searching has directed me to use BouncyCastle. I have downloaded the PEM file. However, using the following:
using (var reader = File.OpenText(pemFilePath))
{
var pemReader = new PemReader(reader);
var keyObject = pemReader.ReadObject();
I get the error "problem creating EC private key: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
I registered in this summer, uploaded 2 apps. But recently I decided to add iAP to my apps, everything is ready, in Xcode sandbox everything works fine, but when I uploaded new version to TestFlight to test, when I tap on the subscription it says something like "Product not found". (I have added subscriptions to the app, and added them to the version before submitting, also, this version is in status "awaiting developer release" so I can tap a button and this new version with iAPs will be on App Store. But im unsure what to do, because exactly this verified by Apple's version is not working in TestFlight.)
In Business section of my Apple Developer Account in Agreements I only have agreement of free apps, but not about the paid apps.
When I registered I used my (R)(us)sian passport, I think this is the reason that I simply don't even have the agreement of paid apps to accept it.
I have multiple passports, and multiple EU debit cards. I emailed apple to change the location of my account (to another EU country), but they ghosted me. They sent me emails to upload documents about 4 or 5 times, every time I uploaded my another passport, got an auto email "thank you, we will write you in 2-3 days", but either they did not write me, or they said that the document is not in English (it isn't).
What do I do?
Also, to my situation, someone of my family has a company in (R)(us)sia, and I have in EU (Estonia). Maybe if nothing will work out with "Individual account", I should change to my company? And what is better EU or (R)(us)sian?
Im new to this community, hope to hear an answer, or just an advice. Thank you!

Hello,
I would like to ask a question regarding documentation related to app sales.
Currently, I’m researching the sales process for an app and realized that I lack sufficient understanding when it comes to creating official documents such as estimates, invoices, and receipts — especially when dealing with corporate clients.
In our company’s case, we can issue documents based on the net revenue (after platform fees are deducted). However, when issuing these documents to a client, would it be more appropriate to include a breakdown showing both the platform fee and the app usage fee?
I would greatly appreciate any insights or examples of how others have handled similar situations.
Thank you in advance.
I am having an issue with duplicated SCEP client certificates on an iOS device.
We deployed an SCEP profile via MDM, then deleted and redeployed it via MDM. In Settings > General > VPN & Device Management, only one SCEP profile is visible. However, Safari shows duplicated certificates when a server requests a client certificate.
We have tried removing the cert profile on MDM and unenrolling the device from MDM, but only the latest certificate got removed, leaving previous ones stuck on the device or in the Safari app.
We have found no way to remove these duplicated certificates other than factory reset the devices.
This appears to be a potential iOS bug affecting certificate cleanup. We need assistance to resolve this issue. Also, the issue is difficult to reproduce but has happened to a number of our managed devices.

We are facing an issue with Platform SSO registration on macOS devices for AD-bound user accounts with Microsoft EntraID configuration.
We are using the Platform SSO payload on macOS devices integrated with Entra ID, and it works as expected — registration completes successfully, and the password syncs with the Entra ID password.
However, when we try the same on macOS devices with AD-bound (mobile) user accounts, the registration does not complete. To elaborate, the process successfully completes the initial WebView authentication but fails at the stage where Apple prompts for the password to sync the local macOS user’s password with the Entra ID password.
It does not display any error, and even after entering a valid password, the process does not proceed further. However, when we try the same on a non-AD user account, it works fine.
We have checked with Microsoft, and they confirmed that there are no restrictions on their side for AD-bound accounts. Since the issue appears to occur at the Apple system level, they advised us to reach Apple teams on this.
Could you please check and let us know how we can proceed with this?

I encounter a connection error with Apple Configurator v2.18 when, after making changes in macOS Sequel 15.6.1, I want to apply and transfer the changes to the iPhone icon layout in iOS 26: Apple Configurator v2.18 crashes and returns an error message:
‘Try the operation again. If it fails, quit the application, launch it again, and try again. [NSCocoaErrorDomain – 0x1001 (4097)]’
I have done some research, and it seems that this bug has been identified and fixed in Apple Configurator 2 v2.19 (Build 10434).
Have you encountered this problem?
Do you know where to find version v2.19?
This fixed version does not appear to have been released yet, and Apple support has been unable to help me.
Thank you all for your help.

There is a longstanding restriction payload for supervised iOS devices that disables "Erase All Content and Settings." We have been experimenting with supervised watches paired with supervised phones that have that payload applied, and yet "Erase All Content and Settings" remains available on the watch. Is this:
– a) An error with our payload? Should we be sending something else?
– b) A bug in watchOS supervision?
– c) A deliberate design choice? If so, what is the rationale for preventing organizations from maintaining this very basic level of control over devices they may be configuring and dispatching into the field?

Apple provides a function to create TTS voice as a file in TTS.
(AVSpeechUtterance/AVSpeechSynthesizer)
Or, if the user records the video of TTS playback and uses that video
I wonder what the scope of use is if I use this TTS voice to make YouTube, TikTok, or commercial videos.
Is it impossible to use it commercially at all?
Can I use it commercially with the source indicated?
Can I use it commercially without a separate source indication?
Is there a difference in commercial use license between Siri voices and regular TTS voices?
Dear Apple Developer Team,
Following the rollout of iOS 26.x and the introduction of the iPhone 17, we have identified a critical issue affecting Mobile Device Management (MDM) enrolment and restore operations.
The issue appears to stem from the Device Management Profile configuration 'do_not_use_profile_from_backup' within Apple Business Manager (ABM), which currently defaults to False. This setting should be modified to True to ensure proper functionality.
When the profile remains set to False, organisations leveraging MDM encounter repeated failures during device backup and restore operations. Specifically, restoring a supervised or managed device triggers a persistent MDM registration loop, effectively preventing deployment of iPhone 17 devices in managed environments.
We recommend that Apple review and adjust the default Device Management Profile property within ABM to address this issue and restore full MDM compatibility for iOS 26.x and later.

Hi,team:
I need to distribute an mdm configuration file containing the "ServiceManagementManagedLoginItems" service to a large number of company-supervised computers, where com.apple.servicemanagement only supports macOS 13.0+. However, I cannot effectively distinguish whether the device system where the mdm configuration file needs to be installed is greater than 13. Can I directly install the mdm configuration file on all devices? Will installing the mdm configuration file on devices less than 13 have any impact on the system or other configuration items in mdm? The description link of ServiceManagementManagedLoginItems is: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/devicemanagement/servicemanagementmanagedloginitems
I have 5-6 mac minis connected to my windows server 2022 and the accounts that connect to the mac are network account. How do I block the network users from accessing or using certain apps like terminal and passwords?
In the RequestRequiresNetworkTether property, the definition of “network-tethered” is unclear, and there seems to be a discrepancy between the actual behavior and the description in the documentation.
We would like to clarify the definition of the connection state that “network-tethered” means and the specific behavior requirements when the property is set to true.
Explanation of the document
The description “If true, the device must be network-tethered to run the command.
I was not sure whether it refers to “network connection” or “tethered communication” as the Japanese translation.
Actual operation verification results
The error message was “The device is not tethered. (MDMErrorDomain:12081)”.
Error occurs when only carrier communication is used
The following connection conditions work normally (as in the case of false)
Wifi communication
Combination of carrier communication and Wifi communication
Tethering communication
Combination of carrier communication and tethering communication
Tethering connection (both parent and child devices)
Inconsistencies
Although the document description could be interpreted as a simple network connection requirement, actual operation is limited only to carrier communications alone
Error message uses language regarding tethering, but actual tethering connection works fine
