Game Center and Push Notifications
I have used the Push Notifications Console and verify that the test notification reaches my device (it says "not necessarily the app"). However, GameCenter notifications are not reaching the app. When one device passes the turn, the turn is successfully passed as seen in the Matchmaker VC. However, the app does not get the turn pass notification whether or not it is running. No banner appears if the app is not running (but it does when using the Push Notifications Console). Please advise.

APNs Notifications Always Failing – 0-Byte Response
Hello, We are currently facing a persistent issue where Apple Push Notifications (APNs) are no longer being delivered to devices. This is not an intermittent problem — push notifications have completely stopped working. We are using PushSharp.Apple (Version 4.0.10.0) to send the notifications. Current Behavior (Failing): Every notification request appears to be processed successfully from the server side. However, the APNs client receives a 0-byte response, and the server closes the connection. Devices do not receive the notifications at all. Logs from Current (Failing) State: APNS-Client[1]: Connected (Batch ID=1) APNS-Client[1]: Sent Batch, waiting for possible response... APNS-Client[1]: Received 0 bytes response... APNS-Client[1]: Server Closed Connection... APNS-Client[1]: Disconnected (Batch ID=1) For Reference – Successful Log From Earlier (When Notifications Worked): APNS-Client[1]: Connected (Batch ID=1) APNS-Client[1]: Sent Batch, waiting for possible response... APNS-Client[1]: Received -1 bytes response... Push Notification Successfully Sent to Device Any help, suggestions, or experience with similar issues would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Not Receiving Incoming VoIP Push Notifications on iOS 18.4 (React Native App)
Hi Apple Dev Team, We have a React Native application that includes call functionality using PushKit and VoIP notifications. We are using APNS to send the VoIP notifications, and everything has been working smoothly on iOS versions up to 18.3.1. However, after updating to iOS 18.4, we are no longer receiving incoming VoIP push notifications on the device. There have been no code changes related to our PushKit or notification logic — the exact same build continues to work correctly on devices running iOS 18.3.1 and earlier. We're trying to understand if anything has changed in iOS 18.4 that affects VoIP push delivery or registration behavior. Would appreciate any guidance, and happy to share code snippets or configuration if needed. Thanks in advance!

PushKit with CallKit - CallKit not shown when app is in background or terminated
Hi team, I am developing VOIP feature using PushKit and CallKit but CallKit is not show when app in background or terminate state, now in foreground state I can call reportNewIncomingCall from pushRegistry-didReceiveIncomingPushWith and it's work as expected but the problem is in background or terminate state it's not my setup: PushKit is configured In Signing & Capabilities I add background modes (Remote notifications and Voice over IP) In info.plist I add <key>UIBackgroundModes</key> <array> <string>voip</string> I'm not sure should I create new VOIP Certificate but now I can receive message notification normally. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated Thank you

Notification Identifier not showing on my profile
Im creating a basic app, needs push notification capability. I have created two profiles (development & distribution), selected my app in Identifiers and checked the PN box to enable it (no need for broadcast). I add the profile to Xcode and it says "Provisioning profile "New VP App Jan 2026" doesn't include the Push Notifications capability." What am I missing?

Clarification on Timing for Critical Alerts Approval in iOS
We are currently planning the development of an iOS healthcare application that will require the use of Critical Alerts. I understand that these notifications bypass Do Not Disturb and Silent mode, and therefore require special entitlement from Apple. We understand that Critical Alerts require a special entitlement from Apple. Could you please clarify: Do we need to request and obtain Apple’s approval for Critical Alerts before we begin development of the app? Or can we apply for this entitlement after we have a working build or prototype ready? We want to ensure compliance and streamline our development process, so any guidance on the appropriate timing for the entitlement request would be greatly appreciated.

Alarm sounds ios without critical alerts
Hello guys, i need a little help. Im building an alarm clock app, pretty good one, and i have my own sounds i want to use as the alarm ring but notifications on apple cant work when the phone is turned off or the device is in silent mode (Or at least thats how i understand it) unless they have this feature called critical alerts that lets you have notifications even when the phone is turned off or silented. Without this, the phone can do just one beep and only when you open the notification, then it starts ringing but how is this supposed to wake you up? Alarmy has this worked out fine and i cant figure out how, maybe someone here knows. Im thinking maybe they have the critical alerts enabled but then i dont know why Apple would approve theirs and not mine. I tried to submit for the critical alerts feature but apple didn’t approve it saying the app is not the use case and im kinda lost. The whole app could be ruined because of this. So my question is. is there any way how i can use my custom sounds as a notifications on ios even if the phone is turned off or in silent mode+turned off and the app is not straight up running without being approved for critical alerts? Somehow like alarmy does it but i dont know if they have the critical alerts or not. Thank you very much for any kind of help 🙏. For everyone whos reading this, take care!

Device token not being extracted - iOS app registered for push notifications but callback methods not called
Background: The project was created in Xcode 5, then recreated in new Xcode. Before migration, push notifications worked without issues, after migration device token stopped being extracted. Problem: iOS app registers for push notifications, but didRegisterForRemoteNotificationsWithDeviceToken or didFailToRegisterForRemoteNotificationsWithError methods are not being called. Current situation: App is registered for push notifications (isRegisteredForRemoteNotifications = true) Notification permissions are granted Entitlements are configured correctly (aps-environment: development) Bundle ID: com.autoserviceonline.app Team: BUSINESSVISION COMPANY, TOO (NS3FSG45V7) But callback methods are not being called What I've already tried: Deleted and recreated all App IDs in Apple Developer Portal Cleared Xcode cache and derived data Created new APNs certificates and provisioning profiles Removed "ghost" certificate from Keychain Access Problem persists Additional information: Also noticed that Push Notifications Console opens non-existent project "BV.TestSwiftData" with Personal Team instead of current corporate App ID com.autoserviceonline.app. These issues might be related to project migration from old Xcode. Request: Why iOS doesn't call callback methods for device token, although registration was successful?

Does a Notification Service Extension continue executing network requests after calling contentHandler?
In my Notification Service Extension I'm doing two things in parallel inside didReceive(_:withContentHandler:): Downloading and attaching a rich media image (the standard content modification work) Firing a separate analytics POST request (fire-and-forget I don't wait for its response) Once the image is ready, I call contentHandler(modifiedContent). The notification renders correctly. What I've observed (via Proxyman) is that the analytics POST request completes successfully after contentHandler has already been called. My question: Why does this network request complete? Is it because: (a) The extension process is guaranteed to stay alive for the full 30-second budget, even after contentHandler is called so my URLSession task continues executing during the remaining time? (b) The extension process loses CPU time after contentHandler but remains in memory for process reuse and the request completes at the socket/OS level without my completion handler ever firing? (c) Something else entirely? I'd like to understand the documented behaviour so I can decide whether it's safe to rely on fire-and-forget network requests completing after contentHandler, or whether I need to ensure the request finishes before calling contentHandler.

Push notifications on macOS "discarded due to expiry"
I'm having a reproducible problem receiving push notifications on macOS 26.2. The pattern is that the push is received and then discarded almost immediately (there is a 60s expiration date) when on battery power and then when I plug in pushes start working and even if I unplug again it works for hours until breaking again. These are alert notifications with priority 10. Other team members have had similar problems but less reliably broken and even get a "stored for device power considerations" message followed by discarded (see apns-unique-id c29250a3-abbf-008a-96f9-a5384e32d1df). An example from my machine with the apns-unique-id 6b2dfe3d-af99-182a-0e1e-6b811d3ec486 which fails immediately. iOS is working fine however so this seems to be confined to macOS only.

NSUserNotificationsUsageDescription only works for certain locales
I'm trying to provide custom localized descriptions for the iOS notification permission popup in my app, which supports multiple locales. To achieve this, I'm using InfoPlist.strings files per locale with the following keys: NSUserNotificationsUsageDescription NSUserTrackingUsageDescription The issue I'm facing is that NSUserTrackingUsageDescription is working correctly across all tested locales, but NSUserNotificationsUsageDescription only works for some locales. Locales tested: Working: ja, tr, fr-CA Not working: fr-BE, nl-BE In each case, the correct localized NSUserTrackingUsageDescription appears, but the NSUserNotificationsUsageDescription falls back to the default or does not appear as expected in fr-BE and nl-BE. I'm using Xcode 16 and testing on both iOS 18 simulator and physical devices, and the issue is consistent across both. Any insights on whether this is a known issue in iOS or if there are additional steps needed for NSUserNotificationsUsageDescription to localize properly would be greatly appreciated.

Critical Alerts Entitlement
Hi Team, We’re following up on our request for the Critical Alert entitlement for our app, which we plan to use to notify users about critical states of their devices. It’s been almost 4 weeks since we submitted the request, and we wanted to check on the typical review timeline so we can plan our upcoming work accordingly. If there’s anything we can provide or clarify to help complete the review or make the process easier, we’d be happy to assist. or the right forum to reach out to.

Provisional Permission is not working as expected in iOS 16
We recently developed the provisional permission for our app, but we have noticed that is not working as expected in iOS 16 (We have tested only there). Currently we request the permissions like this: UNUserNotificationCenter.current().requestAuthorization(options: [.alert, .badge, .sound, .provisional]) { [weak self] _, _ in // here we register for pushes in case authorizationStatus is provisional or authorised } What happens is we do get the 1st notification with the keep CTA - once tapped we see that there pops an action: "Deliver Immediately", but even though the user selects that, we still see under setting the pushes are marked as "Deliver Quietly". In addition to this the sound and bage still stay as toggled off - and the lock screen and banner as well stay off. Basically, nothing changes after the user selects "Deliver Immediately"

Seeing high volume of 410 responses from APNs
Hi there, we noticed high volume of 410 responses from APNs. It started on July 19th and we see it across multiple apps. Is there some sort of mass token invalidation/removal that's happening on APNs?
