There seems to be a lack of clarity about how this Siri AI rollout is working. Does the indexing have anything to do with getting taken off the waitlist, or are they completely separate? Also, what is the expected wait time and has anyone gotten the new Siri after the initial wave of approvals (after 4 hours after the keynote)? The waitlist is extremely slow compared to the initial Apple Intelligence waitlist from a couple of years ago.

My phone no longer shows the waitlist for Siri and has the option to "Try New Siri." I select it, continue, continue and the settings change to "Siri (Beta)" and the waitlist option is no longer there, but when using Siri it's the old pre-Apple Intelligence Siri that activates (little bubble at the bottom) and it does not work. Going to Safari and typing "Siri://" opens the New Siri App, but it says "Siri Update in Progress; Adding support for Siri hasn't completed. Open Settings to check the status." The app does not show up in Spotlight. My phone is done Indexing and all signs point to my phone being enrolled to use the New Siri, but it isn't working at all and still has not shown up. I've tried restarting a few times. Anyone experiencing this too?

I have been waiting for the siri ai and doing everything to try to get it, yet I have been stuck on the waitlist since iOS 27 developer beta released, so please help me out🙏

I just watched the "Build Intelligent Siri experiences with App Schemas" and I'm confused about how to integrate my app with the new Apple Intelligence + Siri in iOS27. I think it mentions specifically that Siri needs to adopt App Schemas, and that just adopting App Intents in my app isn't enough for it to integrate with the new Siri. Is that correct? The 'schemas' seem to be a narrow set of specific activities. What if my app's actions (or intents) don't match closely with it? For example, in my app, I have entities like Tags and Contacts. I can 'create tag' as well as 'add tags to a contact' as 2 different App intents. If I'm using just App Intents on their own, would these not map to the new Siri? I can also add a 'task' to a 'contact'. Would that possibly work with Siri? The videos just don't seem to make an effort to explain what is and what isn't possible.

What should we know about testing the new Siri and beta software on iPad vs iPhone if we do not have a space 17 PRO device for beta software testing? And can the new Siri AI be activated on an iPad? Any requirements? Any other testing options? Thank you.

I have been waiting since last tuesday for the new siri. My primary device, which is my phone is missing and it is out of battery in my home. I don't know where did my phone go. Still, is it possible to get the new siri? I am waiting on my iPad Pro(M1) 2021 model. Also is it my problem that it is taking so long?

Apologies, if I've missed the answer already here, I've searched around but can't find it. Foundation models and Private Cloud Compute require Apple Intelligence to be enabled in Settings as mentioned here. At the same time it says that Foundation Models PCC calls are supported on all Apple Watch models that run WatchOS 27. So, will there be a seperate Apple Intelligence setting in WatchOS 27 for those devices? Otherwise if a user has an Apple Watch Series 11 (which does support Apple Intelligence) paired with an iPhone 15 (which doesn't support Apple Intelligence), will they be unable to use the Foundation Models PCC calls from WatchOS in my app? Despite the fact the iPhone isn't involved in these queries anyway?

I finally installed iPadOS 27 developer beta 1 on my iPad Air (M2), opened Settings app and went to the Siri section. There’s no option to join a waitlist. I had Apple Intelligence enabled on iPadOS 26, but in 27, the “Apple Intelligence & Siri” section simply reads “Siri” now. No mention of Apple Intelligence at all! Has anyone else encountered this? Is it a regional thing? I’m in Canada. EDIT: Ok it was a region thing. I changed my region to US and the waitlist option appeared.

In the new Xcode we saw examples of Claude, OAI & Google coding agents that you can start conversations with inside your project, giving it access to your project files context. As far as I understand, this requires an API key for those models & the processing is run on Anthropic / Google servers, not locally nor on Private Cloud Compute. Is it possible to instead, use the LLM powering Foundation Models, for a “Siri Code Agent” which operates in the place of those models, but runs on device or in Private Cloud Compute? I like how this works for Siri AI requests, and would love to have a coding assistant agent that can operate in the same privacy preserving way! Is this possible with any of the open source frameworks or the command line tools? If not, what is the best way to request this feature?

For intents that return complex markdown, code snippets, or structured layouts, what are the rendering capabilities and resource constraints of custom SwiftUI views returned via Snippet inside the Siri voice overlay? Are interactive controls (like buttons, copy-to-clipboard, or scroll views) supported inside the Siri-overlay SwiftUI container?

Hi everyone, Recently I downloaded the last XCode (Version 27.0 beta) and I'm trying to start to play with CoreAI but it's not possible so far to import the CoreAI framework. I'm using the last version of the iPhone simulator. What am I missing?

Whisper and other STT APIs let you pass a custom vocabulary or initial_prompt to bias recognition toward domain-specific proper nouns. In the App Intents / Siri stack, is there an equivalent way to supply dynamic, per-user term lists — for example favorites or recently used items — to improve how spoken names are transcribed or resolved?

Make sure that you have everything Apple Intelligence enabled because it took up to 24 to 48 hours for the image playground app to work for me. Note this is coming from a fellow developer not official update as we cannot do that on the forums. I am only sharing my own experience. This year, new APIs were introduced such as l Metal Performance Shaders which provide access to high-performance Metal kernel. But this is still GPU. Are there APIs or plans to provide API and language to access ANE layer?

Can the new Siri correctly handle SiriKit INIntent? My app uses INIntent like INSendMessageIntent. It is used not only for Siri action but also used Communication notifications and CarPlay and more OS features. Is any migration required?

Is anything configurable for LanguageModelSession.Guardrails besides the default? I'm prototyping a camping app, and it's constantly slamming into guardrail errors when I use the new foundation model interface. Any subjects relating to fishing, survival, etc. won't generate. For example the prompt "How can I kill deer ticks using a clothing treatment?" returns a generation error. The results that I get are great when it works, but so far the local model sessions are extremely unreliable.
