Lock widget for pro-users
Hi, I have added widgets to my iOS app and I would like to make this feature only accessible to "pro" users that have made a non-consumable in-app purchase. SwitUI preview loads indefinitely
Hi! I develop an iOS library and I met an issue with SwiftUI previews in iOS app project with my library integrated. After I open preview, build for preview finishes successfully, but preview itself never appears. I failed to find any error messages or any other indicators of what went wrong or how to fix it. Switching to legacy preview execution seems to fix problem, but I think that is not ideal. Could you help fixing this? App Clip Custom URL not Invoking Clip
Subject: Need Assistance with App Clip Invocation via URL Hello Developers, I’m currently facing an issue with invoking my App Clip through a URL, specifically when the link is shared via iMessage or Email. Instead of launching the App Clip, the URL redirects to the website. Here’s my current configuration: Approved App with an App Clip Universal Links functioning correctly within the App (verified through AASA file hosted on the website) Associated Domain Entitlements included for both the App and the App Clip Universal Link is expected to invoke the App Clip if the App isn’t installed Advanced Experience configured in App Store Connect The default experience URL from App Store Connect successfully triggers the App Clip, but my custom URL does not. tabViewBottomAccessory AttributeGraph cycles, broken behavior of views participating in cycles
Seemingly innocuous contents passed to tabViewBottomAccessory can trigger inscrutable AttributeGraph cycles, which can then cause unexplained broken behavior of views that may be participating in these cycles. These cycles can be introduced by adding common elements to the tabViewBottomAccessory view hierarchy, like Slider, Button, Toggle, and even things simple if statements surrounding Text elements. These cycles can even also be triggered in a manner that causes the tabViewBottomAccessoryPlacement Environment value to be nil, which can then cause views that depend on this value to render incorrectly or not at all. The errors logged to the Xcode console are of the form: === AttributeGraph: cycle detected through attribute 29528 === === AttributeGraph: cycle detected through attribute 324264 === No further information about this attribute is available in any public Xcode tools. Environment XCode Version 26.0 (17A324) iOS 26.0 (23A343) Steps to reproduce Run the sample above in Simulator Observe no AttributeGraph cycles in Xcode console. Uncomment any of the commented out examples in SliderView.body Observe Xcode console for AttributeGraph cycle messages. Observe glitchy animation behavior Expected Behavior No AttributeGraph cycle diagnostics for ordinary state changes. tabViewBottomAccessoryPlacement always present (non-nil) while accessory is attached. Dependent views update consistently. Errors logged to the Console would help guide me towards a resolution Impact Undermines confidence in adopting tabViewBottomAccessory. Hard to debug: cycle traces are opaque and environment silently degrades (becomes nil) instead of asserting. Nearly shipped a UI where accessory layout fails sporadically. What would help Underlying fix to prevent cycles for ordinary accessory content mutations. Guarantee (or documented contract) that tabViewBottomAccessoryPlacement is never nil while accessory is active, or an assert if invariants break. Option to enable detailed environment propagation trace when a cycle is detected. Symbolic source identifiers in cycle backtraces. Documentation note on current limitations (if certain view types are not yet supported in accessory regions).

iOS 18.4.1 breaks SwiftUI's DocumentGroup?
In iOS 18.4.1, DocumentGroup contains the DocumentView twice. (this may cause issues with alerts) To reproduce (iOS 18.4): In XCode Version 16.3 (16E140), create new project. Choose iOS, "Document App". No need to make code changes. Compile and run app on iOS 18.4 (simulator or device). in iOS (sim or device): Tap create document (once the app launched). in XCode: click "Debug View Hierarchy" in XCode: rotate the view Hierarch to reveal duplicated Document View hierarchies (2 Document Hosting Controllers), see screenshot. This probably affects alert view... I get warnings and it does not work properly (used to work ok on previous versions). Previous versions To compare with previous versions of iOS, run the same code and procedure on iOS 18.3 for example (see screenshot). Will report on Feedback assistant as well...

button is pressed when starting scrolling in iOS 18
On iOS 18, while on a modal screen, if the scrolling starts on a button, that button gets pressed, outside of a modal this doesn't reproduce, also not reproducible on older iOS versions, neither on modals or outside of them. Menu presentation in UIHostingController issues
Looking to see if anyone has experienced this issue, and is aware of any workarounds. With an app migrating towards SwiftUI Views but still using UIKit for primary navigation, my app makes use of UIHostingController to push SwiftUI Views onto a UINavigationController stack in a lot of areas. With iOS 26, I notice that SwiftUI's Menu view really struggles to present when contained in a UIHostingController. An error is logged to the console on presentation, and depending on the UI, the Menu won't present inside of it's container, or will jump around the screen. The bug, it seems is based in a private class UIReparentingView and I am curious if anyone has found a work around for this issue. The error reported is: Adding '_UIReparentingView' as a subview of UIHostingController.view is not supported and may result in a broken view hierarchy. Add your view above UIHostingController.view in a common superview or insert it into your SwiftUI content in a UIViewRepresentable instead. The simplest way to see this issue is to create a new storyboard based project. From the ViewController present a UIHostingController with a SwiftUI view that has a Menu and then simply tap to open the Menu. Thanks for any input!

SwiftUI toolbar with IDs crash since macOS 15
I understand this is a known issue, but it’s truly unacceptable that it remains unresolved. Allowing users to customize toolbars is a fundamental macOS feature, and it has been broken since the release of macOS 15. How is it possible that this issue persists even in macOS 15.3 beta (24D5040f)? SwiftUI Slider onEditingChanged is unreliable on iOS 26
For information I stumbled upon a regression with SwiftUI Slider on iOS 26. Its onEditingChanged closure might be called twice when interaction ends, with a final Boolean incorrect value of true provided to the closure. As a result apps cannot reliably rely on this closure to detect when an interaction with the slider starts or ends. I filed a feedback under FB20283439 (iOS 26.0 regression: Slider onEditingChanged closure is unreliable).

Spotlight Shows "Helper Apps" That Are Inside Main App Bundle That Are Not Intended to Be Launched By The User
I have Mac apps that embed “Helper Apps” inside their main bundle. The helper apps do work on behalf of the main application. The helper app doesn’t show a dock icon, it does show minimal UI like an open panel in certain situations (part of NSService implementation). And it does make use of the NSApplication lifecycle and auto quits after it completes all work. Currently the helper app is inside the main app bundle at: /Contents/Applications/HelperApp.app Prior to Tahoe these were never displayed to user in LaunchPad but now the Spotlight based AppLauncher displays them. What’s the recommended way to get these out of the Spotlight App list on macOS Tahoe? Thanks in advance.

App Shortcuts: Invalid parameter type. AppEntity and AppEnum are the only allowed types...
Hi! So while Date is supported for @Parameter in an App Intent, I just discovered that Xcode will not let me use use it in a parametrized App Shortcut phrase. In my case, I would like to give the option to say "today", tomorrow", or "day after tomorrow" for the date. Am I missing something? Any hints on the best way to approach this?

iOS 26 UISplitViewController in dark mode appearance.
We have encountered a problem on iOS 26. When switching to dark mode, the color of all subviews (font color, background color, etc.) of the Sidebar (Primary View) of UISplitViewController will not change. For example, if it is set to the color of UIColor.label, it will always be black and will not be white in dark mode. On Xcode, just create a UISplitViewController in Storyboard without changing any settings, and run it directly to see the following: The title of the Navigation Bar defaults to the label color, and it is still black after switching to dark mode. There is no such problem in the Secondary View or other places. This problem has occurred since iOS 26 beta 3, and iOS 26 beta 4 is now the same. But beta 1 and beta 2 have no problem. I'm not sure if this is a bug, or if there is something that needs to be changed to adapt to iOS 26?

How to correctly fetch data using SwiftData
Hi there! I'm making an app that stores data for the user's profile in SwiftData. I was originally going to use UserDefaults but I thought SwiftData could save Images natively but this is not true so I really could switch back to UserDefaults and save images as Data but I'd like to try to get this to work first. So essentially I have textfields and I save the values of them through a class allProfileData. NSProgress - way to publish progress to make the file url unselectable in Finder?
So I'm in the middle of an asynchronous file operation. I publish an NSProgress and it displays wonderfully in Finder. But it is a folder and while the operation is in progress the user should not be allowed to enter it, modify it, etc, while the work is being done. I want to do this to protect the user from doing something silly. But Finder does not prevent the selection with the published progress. And while it would be kind of dumb to do - the user can just go about adding/removing contents to the folder while it has progress. If I remember correctly publishing an NSProgress did use to prevent the file from being selectable in Finder until either the progress finished or my app is quit (or maybe not)? But now the user is free to select, edit, modify during progress which could cause problems if the user does something unexpectedly silly. Is there a way to mark the file 'unselectable' with the published progress? Thanks in advance.

@Transient update doesn't propagate to view
When I update a variable inside my model that is marked @Transient, my view does not update with this change. Is this normal? If I update a non-transient variable inside the model at the same time that I update the transient one, then both changes are propagated to my view. Here is an example of the model: @Model public class WaterData { public var target: Double = 3000 @Transient public var samples: [HKQuantitySample] = [] } Updating samples only does not propagate to my view.

Localization in Swift macOS console Apps.
Is it possible to build localization into console apps, developed in SwiftUI in Xcode26. I have created a catalog, (.xcstrings file) with an English and fr-CA string. I have tried to display the French text without success. I am using the console app to test a package which also has English/French text. English text works fine in both package and the console main, but I cannot generate the French. From what I can discover so far it's not possible without bundling it as a .app, (console app). Looking for anyone who has crossed this bridge.

Unable to find Slider/UISlider neutralValue
An WWDC 25 a neutral value was demonstrated that allows the Slider to be 'coloured in' from the point of the neutral value to the current thumb position. Trying to use this in Dev release 1 I get errors saying no such modifier. Was this functionality released in Dev Release 1 or am I using it incorrectly?

Issue with UIActivityViewController Not Showing X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook Icons When Sharing Images on iOS 26 Beta
I have installed the iOS 26 Beta on my device and conducted a comprehensive functionality test of my iOS application, which I designed and developed. The application includes a feature that allows users to share images directly to X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook. During testing, I encountered an issue where the icons for X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook do not appear in the share dialog, despite both apps being installed on the device. This issue prevents users from sharing images to these platforms directly from the app. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install iOS 26 Beta on a compatible device. 2.Ensure that both the X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook apps are installed and logged in on the device. 3.Open the iOS application and navigate to the image sharing feature. 4.Attempt to share an image using the share dialog. 5.Observe that the icons for X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook are missing from the share options. Expected Behavior: The share dialog should display icons for X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook, allowing users to share images directly to these platforms. Actual Behavior: The icons for X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook do not appear in the share dialog, preventing direct sharing to these platforms. Code Implementation: I have not implemented any code to exclude X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook from the share options. Menu presentation in UIHostingController issues
Looking to see if anyone has experienced this issue, and is aware of any workarounds. With an app migrating towards SwiftUI Views but still using UIKit for primary navigation, my app makes use of UIHostingController to push SwiftUI Views onto a UINavigationController stack in a lot of areas. With iOS 26, I notice that SwiftUI's Menu view really struggles to present when contained in a UIHostingController. An error is logged to the console on presentation, and depending on the UI, the Menu won't present inside of it's container, or will jump around the screen. The bug, it seems is based in a private class UIReparentingView and I am curious if anyone has found a work around for this issue. The error reported is: Adding '_UIReparentingView' as a subview of UIHostingController.view is not supported and may result in a broken view hierarchy. Add your view above UIHostingController.view in a common superview or insert it into your SwiftUI content in a UIViewRepresentable instead. The simplest way to see this issue is to create a new storyboard based project. From the ViewController present a UIHostingController with a SwiftUI view that has a Menu and then simply tap to open the Menu. Thanks for any input!

SwiftUI toolbar with IDs crash since macOS 15
I understand this is a known issue, but it’s truly unacceptable that it remains unresolved. Allowing users to customize toolbars is a fundamental macOS feature, and it has been broken since the release of macOS 15. How is it possible that this issue persists even in macOS 15.3 beta (24D5040f)? SwiftUI Slider onEditingChanged is unreliable on iOS 26
For information I stumbled upon a regression with SwiftUI Slider on iOS 26. Its onEditingChanged closure might be called twice when interaction ends, with a final Boolean incorrect value of true provided to the closure. As a result apps cannot reliably rely on this closure to detect when an interaction with the slider starts or ends. I filed a feedback under FB20283439 (iOS 26.0 regression: Slider onEditingChanged closure is unreliable).

Spotlight Shows "Helper Apps" That Are Inside Main App Bundle That Are Not Intended to Be Launched By The User
I have Mac apps that embed “Helper Apps” inside their main bundle. The helper apps do work on behalf of the main application. The helper app doesn’t show a dock icon, it does show minimal UI like an open panel in certain situations (part of NSService implementation). And it does make use of the NSApplication lifecycle and auto quits after it completes all work. Currently the helper app is inside the main app bundle at: /Contents/Applications/HelperApp.app Prior to Tahoe these were never displayed to user in LaunchPad but now the Spotlight based AppLauncher displays them. What’s the recommended way to get these out of the Spotlight App list on macOS Tahoe? Thanks in advance.

App Shortcuts: Invalid parameter type. AppEntity and AppEnum are the only allowed types...
Hi! So while Date is supported for @Parameter in an App Intent, I just discovered that Xcode will not let me use use it in a parametrized App Shortcut phrase. In my case, I would like to give the option to say "today", tomorrow", or "day after tomorrow" for the date. Am I missing something? Any hints on the best way to approach this?

iOS 26 UISplitViewController in dark mode appearance.
We have encountered a problem on iOS 26. When switching to dark mode, the color of all subviews (font color, background color, etc.) of the Sidebar (Primary View) of UISplitViewController will not change. For example, if it is set to the color of UIColor.label, it will always be black and will not be white in dark mode. On Xcode, just create a UISplitViewController in Storyboard without changing any settings, and run it directly to see the following: The title of the Navigation Bar defaults to the label color, and it is still black after switching to dark mode. There is no such problem in the Secondary View or other places. This problem has occurred since iOS 26 beta 3, and iOS 26 beta 4 is now the same. But beta 1 and beta 2 have no problem. I'm not sure if this is a bug, or if there is something that needs to be changed to adapt to iOS 26?

How to correctly fetch data using SwiftData
Hi there! I'm making an app that stores data for the user's profile in SwiftData. I was originally going to use UserDefaults but I thought SwiftData could save Images natively but this is not true so I really could switch back to UserDefaults and save images as Data but I'd like to try to get this to work first. So essentially I have textfields and I save the values of them through a class allProfileData. NSProgress - way to publish progress to make the file url unselectable in Finder?
So I'm in the middle of an asynchronous file operation. I publish an NSProgress and it displays wonderfully in Finder. But it is a folder and while the operation is in progress the user should not be allowed to enter it, modify it, etc, while the work is being done. I want to do this to protect the user from doing something silly. But Finder does not prevent the selection with the published progress. And while it would be kind of dumb to do - the user can just go about adding/removing contents to the folder while it has progress. If I remember correctly publishing an NSProgress did use to prevent the file from being selectable in Finder until either the progress finished or my app is quit (or maybe not)? But now the user is free to select, edit, modify during progress which could cause problems if the user does something unexpectedly silly. Is there a way to mark the file 'unselectable' with the published progress? Thanks in advance.

@Transient update doesn't propagate to view
When I update a variable inside my model that is marked @Transient, my view does not update with this change. Is this normal? If I update a non-transient variable inside the model at the same time that I update the transient one, then both changes are propagated to my view. Here is an example of the model: @Model public class WaterData { public var target: Double = 3000 @Transient public var samples: [HKQuantitySample] = [] } Updating samples only does not propagate to my view.

Localization in Swift macOS console Apps.
Is it possible to build localization into console apps, developed in SwiftUI in Xcode26. I have created a catalog, (.xcstrings file) with an English and fr-CA string. I have tried to display the French text without success. I am using the console app to test a package which also has English/French text. English text works fine in both package and the console main, but I cannot generate the French. From what I can discover so far it's not possible without bundling it as a .app, (console app). Looking for anyone who has crossed this bridge.

Unable to find Slider/UISlider neutralValue
An WWDC 25 a neutral value was demonstrated that allows the Slider to be 'coloured in' from the point of the neutral value to the current thumb position. Trying to use this in Dev release 1 I get errors saying no such modifier. Was this functionality released in Dev Release 1 or am I using it incorrectly?

onScrollPhaseChange doesn't get called when using List
Hi, I can't get onScrollPhaseChange to fire when using a List. It works as expected when using a ScollView and LazyVStack. Interestingly, onScrollGeometryChange gets called as expected for both List and ScrollView. Has anyone successfully used onScrollPhaseChange with a List?

I have installed the iOS 26 Beta on my device and conducted a comprehensive functionality test of my iOS application, which I designed and developed. The application includes a feature that allows users to share images directly to X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook. During testing, I encountered an issue where the icons for X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook do not appear in the share dialog, despite both apps being installed on the device. This issue prevents users from sharing images to these platforms directly from the app. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install iOS 26 Beta on a compatible device. 2.Ensure that both the X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook apps are installed and logged in on the device. 3.Open the iOS application and navigate to the image sharing feature. 4.Attempt to share an image using the share dialog. 5.Observe that the icons for X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook are missing from the share options. Expected Behavior: The share dialog should display icons for X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook, allowing users to share images directly to these platforms. Actual Behavior: The icons for X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook do not appear in the share dialog, preventing direct sharing to these platforms. Code Implementation: I have not implemented any code to exclude X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook from the share options.
