ARPlaneGeometry Negative triangles indices ?
Hello When processing an ARPlaneAnchor geometry using its ARPlaneGeometry, the triangleIndices is an array of Int16. It's supposed to be an index buffer, which can only be uint16 or uint32 metal. What am I supposed to do with negative indices ? Negative indices are rare but do appear sometimes. Thank you

RoomPlan crash on iOS 16 devices even when using available checks
I've encountered an unexpected crash with RoomPlan on iOS 16 devices. The odd part is the code is protected by an available check, since I'm using newer RoomPlan features. Xcode error dyld[40588]: Symbol not found: _$s8RoomPlan08CapturedA0V16USDExportOptionsV5modelAEvgZ I can repro using the Apple sample code. https://developer.apple.com/documentation/roomplan/create-a-3d-model-of-an-interior-room-by-guiding-the-user-through-an-ar-experience Modify RoomCaptureViewController.swift as follows. Remove try finalResults?.export(to: destinationURL, exportOptions: .parametric) Add if #available(iOS 17.0, *) { try finalResults?.export(to: destinationURL, exportOptions: .model) } else { try finalResults?.export(to: destinationURL, exportOptions: .parametric) } I would have expected this code to at least compile and run on older devices. When the app was targeting iOS 15, the available checks worked as expected and the app is able to launch properly.

The pinch operation by the left hand should be stopped.
Hi, I have a question. In visionOS, when a user looks at a button and performs a pinch gesture with their index finger and thumb, the button responds. By default, this works with both the left and right hands. However, I want to disable the pinch gesture when performed with the left hand while keeping it functional with the right hand. I understand that the system settings allow users to configure input for both hands, the left hand only, or the right hand only. However, I would like to control this behavior within the app itself. Is this possible? Best regards.

[Vision, visionOS] Is it possible using Vision Framework on visionOS for body tracking feature?
Hello, I checked following documentations. Vision | Apple Developer Documentation Discover Swift enhancements in the Vision framework - WWDC24 - Videos - Apple Developer I saw Vision Framework is available on visionOS. So I want to know that if it's possible using Vision Framework on visionOS for tracking human and animal body poses. Or are there some limits to use this on visionOS?

Cursor display issue on attachment view in immersive space
While using Screen Mirroring in developer mode within my immersive space, I noticed an alignment issue with the computer cursor (transparent circle). When I move it toward an attachment view, the cursor remains horizontal instead of aligning with the surface of the attachment view. It shows correctly on a 2D window only wrong on attachment view. Is this behavior a bug, or could it be caused by a missing or incorrect configuration on the attachment view? Want help, thanks.

Playing USDZ animation at last known location of reference object
Hi there I'm using Reality Composer Pro to anchor virtual content to a .referenceobject. However moving the referenceobject quickly causes tracking to stop. (I know this is a limitation and I am trying to embrace it as a feature) Is there a way to play a USDZ animation at the last known location, after detecting that the reference object is no longer tracked? is it possible to set this up in Reality Composer pro? I'm trying to get the USDZ to play before the Virtual Content disappears (due to reference object not being located). So that it smooths out the vanishing of the content. Nearly everything is set up in Reality Composer pro with my immersive.scene just adding virtual content to the reference object which anchors it in the RCP Scene, so my immersive view just does this - if let immersiveContentEntity = try? await Entity(named: "Immersive", in: realityKitContentBundle) { content.add(immersiveContentEntity) & this .onAppear { appModel.immersiveSpaceState = .open } .onDisappear { appModel.immersiveSpaceState = .closed } I have tried Using SpatialTracking & WorldTrackingProvider, but I'm still quite new to Swift and coding in general so im unsure how to implement in conjunction with my RCP scene and/or if this is the right way to go about it. Also I have implemented this at the beginning of object tracking. All I had to do was add a onAppear behavior to the object to play a USDZ and that works. Doing it for disappearing (due to loss of reference object) seems to be a lot harder.

Camera settings at intrinsic calibration time
Hi everyone, I am wondering under which settings the camera(s) were set by the time they were calibrated. For instance, one aspect that is easy to find is the reference resolution of the images taken when calibrating the intrinsics, this is by retrieving intrinsicMatrixReferenceDimensions. Making sure that the principal point is referenced to the by the time resolution used when the calibration was ongoing. However, recently I saw that there are focusing modes that potentially displace the lens' physical position. Settings like: AutoFocusRangeRestriction: none, near, far setFocusModeLocked: Locks the lens position at the specified value, and sets the focus mode to a locked state. My concern lies the impact this focusing lens displacements can have on the intrinsic matrix parameters, like these parameters no longer describe the camera since the lens position has changed. In simple words, what is the focus 'mode'/'range' the cameras were set when calibrating them for intrnisics?

Realistic Water Shading
Hi I'm trying to create a water shader using the shader graph in Reality Composer Pro, but quite a few of the features you would need for realistic water rendering appear to be missing. One big issue is the lack of a way to create refraction. We can easily control the transparency of the water by changing the opacity, but how can we distort what we see through the water? I can't find any obvious solution for that. In Unity, they provide a node called HD Scene Color which is basically the scene rendered to an offscreen buffer which you can apply to the water and then distort to get a refraction effect. I guess the Background Blur node could be used for something like this if we could turn off the blur and distort it, but there's no control for the blur and no control for the texture coordinates. Am I missing something? Any ideas are welcome :)

Adding reference image failed in VisionPro
I am using ARKit to detect image in visionPro. However I met some question about adding the reference image. Some of my images can not be added correctly sometimes. (As you can see in the picture above, the 'orange' can not be added correctly, but the 'cup' can). However, sometimes they will be added without any problem. I do not know why it will happen. And I want they all be added steadily.

how to convert mlmodel to reference object?
Hello, I have downloaded and run the sample object tracking app for visionos. Now I'm working on my own objects for tracking. I have made a model using Create ML using images of my object. However, I cannot see how to convert the Create ML output file (xxx.mlmodel) into a reference object like the files in the sample project. is there a tool for converting them? TIA

How to obtain video streams from the digital space included in VisionPro after applying for the "Enterprise API"?
After implementing the method of obtaining video streams discussed at WWDC in the program, I found that the obtained video stream does not include digital models in the digital space or related videos such as the program UI. I would like to ask how to obtain a video stream or frame that contains only the physical world? let formats = CameraVideoFormat.supportedVideoFormats(for: .main, cameraPositions:[.left]) let cameraFrameProvider = CameraFrameProvider() var arKitSession = ARKitSession() var pixelBuffer: CVPixelBuffer? var cameraAccessStatus = ARKitSession.AuthorizationStatus.notDetermined let worldTracking = WorldTrackingProvider() func requestWorldSensingCameraAccess() async { let authorizationResult = await arKitSession.requestAuthorization(for: [.cameraAccess]) cameraAccessStatus = authorizationResult[.cameraAccess]! } func queryAuthorizationCameraAccess() async{ let authorizationResult = await arKitSession.queryAuthorization(for: [.cameraAccess]) cameraAccessStatus = authorizationResult[.cameraAccess]! } func monitorSessionEvents() async { for await event in arKitSession.events { switch event { case .dataProviderStateChanged(_, let newState, let error): switch newState { case .initialized: break case .running: break case .paused: break case .stopped: if let error { print("An error occurred: \(error)") } @unknown default: break } case .authorizationChanged(let type, let status): print("Authorization type \(type) changed to \(status)") default: print("An unknown event occured \(event)") } } } @MainActor func processWorldAnchorUpdates() async { for await anchorUpdate in worldTracking.anchorUpdates { switch anchorUpdate.event { case .added: //检查是否有持久化对象附加到此添加的锚点- //它可能是该应用程序之前运行的一个世界锚。 //ARKit显示与此应用程序相关的所有世界锚点 //当世界跟踪提供程序启动时。 fallthrough case .updated: //使放置的对象的位置与其对应的对象保持同步 //世界锚点,如果未跟踪锚点,则隐藏对象。 break case .removed: //如果删除了相应的世界定位点,则删除已放置的对象。 break } } } func arkitRun() async{ do { try await arKitSession.run([cameraFrameProvider,worldTracking]) } catch { return } } @MainActor func processDeviceAnchorUpdates() async { await run(function: self.cameraFrameUpdatesBuffer, withFrequency: 90) } @MainActor func cameraFrameUpdatesBuffer() async{ guard let cameraFrameUpdates = cameraFrameProvider.cameraFrameUpdates(for: formats[0]),let cameraFrameUpdates1 = cameraFrameProvider.cameraFrameUpdates(for: formats[1]) else { return } for await cameraFrame in cameraFrameUpdates { guard let mainCameraSample = cameraFrame.sample(for: .left) else { continue } self.pixelBuffer = mainCameraSample.pixelBuffer } for await cameraFrame in cameraFrameUpdates1 { guard let mainCameraSample = cameraFrame.sample(for: .left) else { continue } if self.pixelBuffer != nil { self.pixelBuffer = mergeTwoFrames(frame1: self.pixelBuffer!, frame2: mainCameraSample.pixelBuffer, outputSize: CGSize(width: 1920, height: 1080)) } } }

Is it possible to live render CMTaggedBuffer / MV-HEVC frames in visionOS?
Hey all, I'm working on a visionOS app that captures live frames from the left and right cameras of Apple Vision Pro using cameraFrame.sample(for: .left/.right). Apple provides documentation on encoding side-by-side frames into MV-HEVC spatial video using CMTaggedBuffer: Converting Side-by-Side 3D Video to MV-HEVC My question: Is there any way to render tagged frames (e.g. CMTaggedBuffer with .stereoView(.leftEye/.rightEye)) live, directly to a surface in RealityKit or Metal, without saving them to a file? I’d like to create a true stereoscopic (spatial) live video preview, not just render two images side-by-side. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!

RealityView and Persistent World Data?
I was watching the Developer videos, and there was mention that RealityView handles persistent world data differently and also automatically for us. I am having an issue finding the material I need to get up to speed on that. In ARKit, I was able to place a model with the world data and recall that .map data. It even stored a reference image for the scene to help match the world data. I'm looking for the information on how to implement and work with those same features with RealityView, as it seems to be better/automatically integrated? I need help being pointed in the right direction. Sample code would be amazing.

Animation handling on Scene change
I work on a game where I use timeline animations in Reality Composer Pro. The game runs in an immersive space, but can be paused where I then move the whole level root entity from the immersive space to another RealityView in a Window Group. When the player continues I do it exactly the other way around to move the level root from the window group back to my immersive space RealityView. And it seems like all animations get automatically stopped and restarted when the scene gets changed. The problem is, it does not resume where it stopped before, it completely starts again from where it stopped and therefore, has for example a wrong y offset as visible in the picture. For example in the picture, the yellow sphere loops the following animation: 0 to 100 100 to -100 -100 to 0 If I now pause the game (and basically switch scenes), the previous animation gets stopped and restarted at position y = 100. So now it loops: 100 to 200 200 to 0 0 to 100 I already tried all kind of setups - like: Setting the animations relative to root, parent, local Using behaviors (on Added to Scene, on Notification) And finally even by accessing the availableAnimations directly and saving the playback controller of the animation There I saw, if I manually trigger the following code before switching the scene, everything works as expected: Button("Reset") { animationPlaybackController.time = 0 animationPlaybackController.pause() animationPlaybackController.stop(blendOutDuration: 0.00001) } But if I use time = 0 with .stop() directly, the time = 0 seems to be ignored and I get the same behavior as before that it stops in a wrong y offset, hence my assumption that animations get stopped and invalidated once they change the scene. I tried to call the code manually on ImmersiveSpace.onDisappear, WindowGroup.onAppear and different kind of SceneEvents subscriptions, but unfortunately nothing worked. So am I doing something wrong in general or is there a way to fix this?

MagnifyGesture in RealityView does not work on macOS
I have tested the MagnifyGesture code below on multiple devices: Vision Pro - working iPhone - working iPad - working macOS - not working In Reality Composer Pro, I have also added the below components to the test model entity: Input Target Collision For macOS, I tried the touchpad pinch gesture and mouse scroll wheel, but neither approach works. How to resolve this issue? Thank you. import SwiftUI import RealityKit import RealityKitContent struct ContentView: View { var body: some View { RealityView { content in // Add the initial RealityKit content if let immersiveContentEntity = try? await Entity(named: "Immersive", in: realityKitContentBundle) { content.add(immersiveContentEntity) } } .gesture(MagnifyGesture() .targetedToAnyEntity() .onChanged(onMagnifyChanged) .onEnded(onMagnifyEnded)) } func onMagnifyChanged(_ value: EntityTargetValue<MagnifyGesture.Value>) { print("onMagnifyChanged") } func onMagnifyEnded(_ value: EntityTargetValue<MagnifyGesture.Value>) { print("onMagnifyEnded") } }

WorldTrackingProvider stops working on device
After re-launching the immersive space in my app 5-10 times, the WorldTrackingProvider stops working. Only restarting the app will allow it to start working again. Only on device, not the simulator.
