Using HarfBuzz I got the following result. The same rendering problem occurs when using Safari. It seems that is related to Core Text. I reported the issue to Feedback Assistant over a year ago but haven't had a response yet. So I'm posting the problem on this forum. Any support on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Whenever I make a safari view controller on XCode26 Beta 5, there appears to be a blurry white overlay overtop the controller. This worked fine in XCode26 Beta 2, with no code differences. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm encountering an issue with front camera video recordings via browser (Safari/Chrome) on devices running iOS/iPadOS 18 and above: On iPad, the recorded video appears upside down. On iPhone, the recorded video is rotated 90 degrees. The rear camera functions correctly without orientation issues. This problem seems specific to browser-based recordings, as the native Camera app records videos with the correct orientation. Has anyone else experienced this behavior? Is there a known workaround or fix? The preview while recording is fine, the recorded video is oriented incorrectly.

Can someone please help me: I do not have the brain space (85yo) to figure out an Apple Script or Java Script app to do this simple task. I'm in the process of supporting Apple Pay through a 2nd payment gateway for some users, so I need to support two separate Apple Pay relationships. Both require their own apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association. I don't see how I can have both files for the one domain. Is this possible? Is there a workaround other than just replacing the old file with the new one and hoping that doesn't disrupt anything. That seems to be the approach taken by others (https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/695538) but it is too high risk for me without any confirmation from Apple that this is ok. I'd also like to avoid having to setup a 2nd domain for these customers, since the current domain is already quite embedded in their operations.

After App uses Network.framework PrivacyContext Api, dns has been encrypted, that is good. But when using wkwebview to load web page, wireshark captures normal dns request sent by wkwebview. Does wkwebview use DoH to resolve domain? if can, how to config params? If can not, is there anyway to stop wkwebview sending normal dns, such as local proxy.

This works for most cases, but during OAuth flows on certain sites (e.g., canva.com), the popup WKWebView attempts to send results back to the main WKWebView using JavaScript like window.opener.postMessage(...). However, window.opener is always null in the popup, preventing the message from being posted and blocking login completion.I've researched this and found suggestions that it's by design, as WKWebView instances are isolated for security reasons. In particular, I'm trying to inspect the sourceFrame of a WKNavigationAction to make navigation policy decisions based on the frame's URL path. Hello, According to the documentation: If you provide your extension in macOS and don’t want to use the Mac App Store for distribution, you can sign and notarize your extension’s app with a Developer ID to distribute it outside the Mac App Store. However, I found this to be untrue in practice. Even after signing and notarising the Safari extension correctly, it is not possible to enable it in Safari without turning on "allow unsigned extension". This makes it impossible to distribute your Developer ID–signed and notarized extension outside the Mac App Store. I would like to distribute my web extension directly to employees in my organization using MDM without having each user manually enable "allow unsigned extension" for it to work. Any way to make it work? The documentation is quite confusing in this aspect, it says "Safari only supports signed extensions" but my extension is rejected even if notarised and signed.

I use WKWebView to display a webpage that requires authentication through an authentication provider. This works as expected, but when I close and reopen the app, I have to reauthenticate. However, if I open the same page in Safari, I only have to authenticate once. If I close Safari and reopen it, the page displays without prompting me to authenticate again. I see some cookies stored in httpCookieStore, so I assume that storing cookies works. Does anyone have an idea why authentication is not persistent between app launches? Thanks in advance. Safari is acting up. It’s appearing on my screen as a blank black screen, and then it’s retreating to the homepage.

As of iOS 26.1, Safari and WebKit views have an issue when rendering the <details> html tag. The disclosure-closed icon / character appears as an emoji arrow ▶️ instead of the unicode character ▸ (U+25B8 - Black Right-Pointing Small Triangle) For example: <details> <summary>Summary</summary> <p>Additional details....</p> </details> This wasn't the case in iOS 26.0 / iOS 18. From what I can observe it seems ▶ (U+25B6 - Black Right-Pointing Triangle) may be used in iOS 26.1 which renders as the emoji ▶️ on iOS (at least as far back as iOS 18). The only workaround I found for the moment is to specify explicit CSS to revert back to using the ▸ (U+25B8 - Black Right-Pointing Small Triangle) details > summary { list-style-type: "▸ "; } details[open] > summary { list-style-type: "▾ "; } Is this expected?
