The Apple Developer Program enrollment is taking too long!
My Apple ID is linked to several organizations for which I developed apps in the past, and I want to enroll myself as a solo developer in the Apple Developer Program. I paid the $99 fee more than a week ago and received an “Order Acknowledgement” email stating that processing would take up to two business days. However, it has now been eight days, and my enrollment is still marked as pending on the Apple Developer website.

Non-deterministic xctestplan files
Working with .xctestplan files reminds me very much of working with project files and nibs and storyboards back in the day 😅 It seems that they are non-deterministic. This means that every time we add a new test module or edit the inclusion rules at all the whole file is recomputed. But it doesn't have a fixed order so everything in the file changes. It makes it very difficult to see what has happened in PR reviews and causes conflicts any time anything is changed. TBH... because it isn't alphabetical, even just finding a particular test suite is difficult without changes. Are there any plans to bring this file format up to date with the likes of xcodeproj and xib files? It would help massively while working with source control in a larger team. Thanks

Ask for help and solutions about the Apple developer account ban
Our team has not been involved in the Apple development field for a long time, and due to the lack of deep enough understanding of Apple's development related rules in the early stage, there were some mistakes in the operation process, resulting in the account being blocked. In the more than a year since the account was blocked, we have actively engaged in learning, deeply studied the rules and requirements of Apple's development through various channels, and continuously improved our professional quality to ensure that future development work can fully comply with the specifications. Now, we'd like to see if there's a viable way to unblock our account. We've learned from the lessons we've learned and are confident that we'll be able to follow Apple's rules in our future development to bring users a high-quality and compliant app."

Deep link to a file in Xcode
Hi, is there documentation on how to write a deep link that will open Xcode on a given file, and optionally a line number? I know about xed, and I would like exactly that functionality, but in link form, so that I can link to a certain file from an app such as Obsidian or from a README.md file. I checked Xcode's Info.plist and it understands several URL schemes, the most promising of which is xcode://, which successfully launches the app, but no matter what I tried, I get an error dialog telling me that Xcode did not understand the URL. Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated. Victor

Xcode 16 is running on an iPhone 7 with iOS 12.1.3. The application fails to open normally and crashes immediately upon startup.
I am currently using Xcode 16 (16A242d) and testing on an iPhone 7 running iOS 12.1.3. However, when I try to launch the app on the device, it crashes immediately. Run on multiple simulators
I am developing a game that has 3 team members. I can manually start up 3 simulators and run the game for developing/testing but seem like there should be a simple way to click build/run and have it launch on all three automatically. Does anyone know how to do this or if its even possible without writing some scripts?

XCode Error Code: Failed to Save
I have a Mac Mini (M4) running macOS Sequoia 15.3.1. I very recently downloaded and installed the current version of XCode from the app store. I have not added any extensions - it's a vanilla, un-customized, un-enhanced installation. I have two user profiles (accounts) on my Mac: one Administrator and one Standard, each using a different apple account. I am using the Standard user account to learn XCode. When I attempt to set up a project, I get an error message when Xcode initially tries to save the (provided) project template file. The error states: "Failed to save Project2.xcodeproj. The backing file has been modified outside of XCode." I am using a NAS drive to store my project file. I have also tried saving it to the Desktop. It makes no difference to the error wherever the file is being saved. Similarly, I tried changing the Standard user account to an Administrator account to see if it was a privileges problem. Again, it made no difference to the error message. (So I changed the account back to a Standard user). I have tried googling the error but I only find references to problems related to extension/add-in products to XCode: none of which have I added to my XCode installation. I am attaching screenshots of the steps through the project creation process. Hopefully someone can tell me what I am doing wrong or what the problem is. Thank you.

xcrun devicectl not work as expected in Apple TV
What I want? I expect to use xcrun devicectl device process launch --device <uuid> <bundle-identifier> --payload-url <URL> to launch my app and pass the specified URL as I usually do in iPhone. What I do? Let's say the app A which I'm developing. I try to use UIApplication.open(:options:completionHandler:) in another app to open the app A with registered schema. And whether app A is cold launch or background resumption, app A can go foreground with receiving URL. If I use xcrun devicectl as above described, app A can still be opened. However, app A can't receive URL which I pass through --payload-url option. That's different from in iOS. BTW: I as well try YouTube with UIApplication.open and xcrun devicectl, the former way work, the latter way not work.

Developer Enrollment verification unsuccesful error %%USE_I18N_STRING_ERROR%%
Hi, I have been attempting enroll in Apple Developer program with my organization. As part of the enrollment process, legal authority must be approved by a member of my organization. We have attempted submitting the approvals a couple times with no success. Recently we had an error on screen saying %%USE_I18N_STRING_ERROR%% and Verification Unsuccessful. Would you be able to check the status of my application and if there is anything we need to do for verification? Thank you for your time and help! -Bob

XCFrameworks deploying .a / include to output target directory
Hello Friends, We have a strange bug that Xcode is deploying static binaries from within .XCFramework into the CONFIGURATION_BUILD_DIR An example of our xcframeworks structure is: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>AvailableLibraries</key> <array> <dict> <key>BinaryPath</key> <string>libglfw3.a</string> <key>HeadersPath</key> <string>Headers</string> <key>LibraryIdentifier</key> <string>macos-arm64_x86_64</string> <key>LibraryPath</key> <string>libglfw3.a</string> <key>SupportedArchitectures</key> <array> <string>arm64</string> <string>x86_64</string> </array> <key>SupportedPlatform</key> <string>macos</string> </dict> </array> <key>CFBundlePackageType</key> <string>XFWK</string> <key>XCFrameworkFormatVersion</key> <string>1.0</string> </dict> </plist> for open source creative coding toolkit https://github.com/openframeworks/openFrameworks Can you see any issues in the above. Some ideas for me is to generate xcarchive instead of deploying the .a in the xcframeworks, however that does not explain the include being packaged there, so I think this might be a Xcode issue

Xcode 16 „forgetting“ package in subfolder to root package
Xcode 16 seems to „forget“ a swift package within a subfolder of a root package after restart or shut-down. I have the following project structure, which also resembles the directory structure on disc: MyPackage - Package.swift - README.md - Sources - MyPackage - Tests - MyPackageTests - Tools - MyGenerator // <- after restart this folder is not visible in the Xcode project navigator - Package.swift - Sources - main.swift - Tests MyGenerator is a standalone package which is used during development of MyPackage to generate source code files for MyPackage based on text file input. Essentially an executable target script which I can run within its folder with: swift run MyGenerator someInputFile.txt MyPackage does NOT use MyGenerator as a dependency, nor do I want this tool listed as a dependency in MyPackage Package.swift file. Yet MyGenerator is part of the same Git repo, as it documents the changes to the tool on how to generate source code for MyPackage. Both packages are developed in tandem. MyGenerator itself defines dependencies in its Package.swift file, which are unrelated to the functionality of MyPackage. After restart of Xcode or even just a longer shut-down period the MyGenerator subfolder is not visible in the Xcode project navigator, the /Tools folder is empty. I have to manually add the sub package via Add files to "MyPackage" -> Move files to destination every time. How can I solve that Xcode remembers the sub package unter /Tools? Edit: I am using Xcode 16.2

Random "<unknown>:0: warning: default will never be executed" Xcode warning
Hello! I'm experiencing a persistent SwiftCompile warning that I haven't been able to resolve for several months: <unknown>:0: warning: default will never be executed Observations: Appears randomly across different files during the build. No source location or line highlighting is provided. Persists across clean builds and project reopenings. Occurs in both Xcode Cloud and local builds. What I’ve tried: Ensuring all switch statements on enums explicitly handle every case. Removing default cases from fully covered enum switches. Refactoring optional enum handling (e.g., using if let instead of switch). None of these resolved the issue. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Project details: Xcode: 16.2 Swift: 6 iOS Target: 17.0+ UI: SwiftUI-only (no UIKit) Dependencies: SwiftPM

How to let instruments - app launch template wait for process to launch , rather than actively launch by instruments
Hi there, How to let instruments - app launch template wait for process to launch , rather than actively launch by instruments? I need to profile the app launch performance when clicking a push notification or cold launch via a url link. How to let instruments to wait for the process and collect the data? Currently, I tried the command xctrace record --template "App Launch" --attach MyApp --device-name 'Phone-Dev' --output mytrace.trace But it soon failed with 'Cannot find process matching name: MyApp'. How to make it work?

Apple Developer Program Enrollment Problems
Hey everyone. This is probably the last straw I am trying to pull since I tried almost everything else. I have applied for the Apple Developer Program and the whole process started at the end of 2024. I got rejected the first time because Apple could not charge my card. It was clearly shown that the cost is $99, however, it was 106.65 Euros (I created a Revolut card with the $100 because I don't trust placing my card everywhere). I started the new process but this time I knew about the amount issue so I placed 150 Euros just to be safe. Automatic rejection with robotic AI response: "For one or more reasons, your enrollment in the Apple Developer Program couldn't be completed. We can't continue with your enrollment at this time." When I raised ticket about it I got no replies. Than both my friend and wife tried to apply for the program. Both rejected with the exact same messaging. I created a new Apple ID, new card, new everything and did everything "by the book". Again. Rejection with the same exact messaging: For one or more reasons, your enrollment in the Apple Developer Program couldn't be completed. We can't continue with your enrollment at this time... Can someone from Apple please tell me what are those reasons? I have been an Apple user for almost 10 years now. I was buying Apps from store. I am using iCloud+. Modest Citizen as some would say. What's the problem? How can I finally get to Apple Developer Program without being rejected by AI or some poor auto system?

Cannot access profile page of individual DTS engineers
Until recently, it was possible to view the profiles of every user who posted in the forums. The profile page would then have links to posts/replies and other pages so that one could "follow" the recent comments by those users. However, it appears that it no longer is possible to view a profile of individual "DTS Engineer". What I mean is I can no longer view their profile page and as a result the recent posts/replies that a specific "DTS Engineer" makes. It's especially a loss because posts made by such engineers are very helpful and valuable and not being able to easily follow such posts on a single page makes the forum software less useful. Is there a way the previous feature can be brought back?
