Unable to launch tests in Xcode 26
I am trying to upgrade my app to use Xcode 26 and I cannot get my tests to launch. I am trying to launch tests to the simulator, and I always get this error after 300 second timeout: "encountered an error (The test runner hung before establishing connection.)" There are no other errors getting logged. I can run to the same simulator just fine, and in Xcode 16 the tests launch with no issues. The tests also run fine on an actual iPhone. Thanks in advance.

Claude keeps logging out
Hi, I'm running Xcode version 26.0.1 (17A400). Every time I restart Xcode, it seems to not recognize my Claude login anymore, and I have to go through the whole authentication flow again. It's quite annoying. Does anyone have a solution for it?

XCode26 doesnt compile PhotosUI properly
Hi so i have a given project where I am trying to use components within the PhotosUI Framework with Xcode26 and Xcode26.0.1 Just for reference here is an attached screenshot This sample code compiled successfully with xcode16.4 and was in production. There is no change in the pbxproj file , all the build settings have remained the same. Attaching it for reference. project.pbxproj.txt While showing declarations of PHPickerViewControllerDelegate i get two options which is the same as in Xcode16.4 while browsing online found this reddit thread which is very similar https://www.reddit.com/r/Xcode/comments/1nkku20/my_project_wont_compile_after_xcode_26_update_due/ Pls help :)

Existing Project Not Showing Installed iOS 26 Simulator (New Projects Work Fine)
Hello everyone, I'm encountering a frustrating issue with Xcode 26 and the iOS Simulator selection, and I'd appreciate any insight from the community. Problem Overview I have updated my Xcode to version 26.0. I have successfully installed the iOS 26 SDK and the iOS 26 Simulator runtime via Xcode's component settings. However, when I open an older, existing project, the device selection dropdown menu does not list the iOS 26 simulator. I can only select older versions, such as my locally installed iOS 18.6 simulator. Key Finding (Diagnosis) New Project Test: When I create a brand new Xcode project, the iOS 26 simulator is correctly available and runs as expected. Conclusion: This strongly suggests the issue lies with a specific configuration setting in the existing (old) project, rather than the Xcode installation itself. Troubleshooting Steps Taken I suspect a project-level configuration is somehow blocking the display of the new simulator. I've already checked: General -> Deployment Target: This is set to an older version, but theoretically shouldn't hide the simulator list. Build Settings -> Base SDK: This is set to the latest iOS SDK. Has anyone else experienced this behavior when upgrading projects to support iOS 26? What specific configuration files (e.g., .xcodeproj settings, Podfile configurations, or specific Build Settings) should I check to ensure my old project properly recognizes and displays the newly installed iOS 26 simulator? Any pointers or solutions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Custom font doesn't appear on Storyboard custom font list
Hi everyone, (you can answer in french) I’m french-rookie in xcode, and I have a problem: I’m trying to choice my custom font to add it in my Main.storyboard button, but it not works. I have my « Font provided by application » line in my Info.plist, with the name of my font in [0] (See images below) When I’m on storyboard button, I chose « custom » in font selector, then display font list but my custom font doesn’t appear. I already tried to install the font in my mac, but still stucked, nothing change 😭 Could you help me please? Thanks a lot (I specify that I scrupulously followed the way of doing explained on the Apple official page: Adding a Custom Font to Your App )

Cannot run apps that use the callAsyncJavaScript() method on older simulators
If I use the method callAsyncJavaScript() my app will compile, but it won't run on older simulators. Specifically, in a brand new Storyboard project, I added this to `viewDidLoad(): let webView = WKWebView() webView.callAsyncJavaScript("1", in: nil, in: .page) { result in print("\(result)") } This runs fine with Xcode 16.3 targeting the iOS 18.4 simulator. It doesn't work if I target the iOS 18.3.1 simulator or the iOS 17.5 simulator. It does work on an iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 18.4 and it works on an iPhone 12 Pro running iOS 17.7.1. It goes without saying that this used to work on Xcode 16.2 and earlier, since my real project has been using that API for 3 or 4 years now. The specific error is dyld[89984]: Symbol not found: _$sSo9WKWebViewC6WebKitE19callAsyncJavaScript_9arguments2inAF17completionHandlerySS_SDySSypGSo11WKFrameInfoCSgSo14WKContentWorldCys6ResultOyyps5Error_pGcSgtF Referenced from: <82CC68A8-9426-343E-82CD-5443F53A6919> /Users/dave/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Devices/69CE58A3-8162-4616-B110-5857E6E2889F/data/Containers/Bundle/Application/3F27AAA0-8E96-437D-A1F4-DECD2E1A95B5/CallAsyncJavascript.app/CallAsyncJavascript.debug.dylib Expected in: <E11EC0F5-2AD1-3402-AB03-31A85EA6EB3A> /Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Volumes/iOS_21F79/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes/iOS 17.5.simruntime/Contents/Resources/RuntimeRoot/System/Library/Frameworks/WebKit.framework/WebKit

Xcode 26.3 Claude Agent — 401 Invalid Bearer Token on Intel Mac (FB22141224)
I've been investigating a persistent 401 Invalid Bearer Token error with Claude Agent in Xcode 26.3 on an Intel Core i9 Mac and wanted to share my findings here in case others are affected. ENVIRONMENT Hardware: Intel Core i9 (x86_64) Xcode: 26.3 (17C529) macOS: 26.3 (25D125) THE ISSUE Claude Agent fails with "Failed to authenticate. API Error: 401 - Invalid bearer token" on every prompt, despite the account showing as Signed In under Settings → Intelligence. The error persists after signing out and back in, and the token is confirmed valid and unexpired in Keychain. WHAT WORKS Claude Code in Terminal works perfectly on the same machine with the same credentials The basic Claude Sonnet 4.5 coding assistant in Xcode works fine Only Claude Agent is affected ROOT CAUSE HYPOTHESIS Xcode appears to be installing an ARM64 Claude binary on Intel Macs silently, with no warning or fallback. This binary likely fails to execute on x86_64 hardware and that failure is being misreported upstream as a 401 authentication error — which is why the error has nothing to do with the actual credentials. APPLE'S RESPONSE Feedback report FB22141224 was closed as 'Works as currently designed' with the explanation that Claude Agent requires the Neural Engine found on Apple Silicon. However, Claude Agent calls Anthropic's remote API over the network and performs no on-device AI processing — the Neural Engine is not involved. The fact that Claude Code works fine on this same Intel Mac with the same credentials demonstrates this clearly. WORKAROUND Using an Anthropic API key instead of OAuth resolves the issue but requires additional paid billing outside of an existing Claude.ai subscription. Has anyone else experienced this on either Intel or Apple Silicon? I'd be particularly interested to hear if Apple Silicon users are also affected, as the Developer Forums suggest this may not be limited to Intel Macs (thread/816369). Any input from Apple DTS engineers would be greatly appreciated.

Xcode 16.3 repeatedly log causing CPU leak
Xcode 16.3 repeatedly logs a same message very frequently, as fast as a single thread can. I use Instruments and Console and find out the log is: Needs flush! by -[DNTBrotliDecoder decodeBytes:length:] in DNTDocumentationSupport. The call is on a single non-main thread. I've tried to clear caches and it seems doesn't change. Yet I don't know exact point when the logging starts since launch. Fortunately, this thread is dispatched at E cores, bringing approximately 2 watts of power load to my Mac. Environments: macOS 15.4 (24E248) Xcode 16.3 (16E140) M4 chip

Xcode26: download stuck on 'fetching'
I just downloaded Xcode26, and am trying to download the new simulator to be able to run and test my app. But the downloads folder just shows that it's stuck on "Fetching download information ..." even 15 minutes after it started. I tried restarting Xcode but didn't help. Internet connection is good. Any tips to get it working?

Why is Xcode so slow and bad?
I just want to rant why is Xcode such a bad ide and I wish Apple can do a better job on Xcode. Here's why: The preview is so slow. Most of the times it's just faster for me to test on a real device. It is so slow, and many times I need to force quite after it's being unresponsive for sometimes. When I'm working on larger projects, the loading time becomes extremely slow especially when there's other clients that might be reading the same files like a Git client or simply iCloud. The breakpoint is so slow. I don't know why, is it an iOS thing? But when I'm on ASP.Net the breakpoints are super fast. For Xcode it takes a long time to pause and show data. It's so big I don't know why it is so hard for Apple to make their ide better. The community has been unsatisfied with Xcode for a long time. There's many tricks on the internet that you can find to help you resolve some issues with your project that's actually related to Xcode. Instead of using these tricks, Apple should just fix these issues. Learn from Intellij!

Xcode hangs on git network operations
In Xcode 26.3 and 26.4, when I use Xcode's built-in git functionality to do a "pull" or "fetch", Xcode presents a dialog saying it's performing the operation, but it never completes. The dialog remains on screen with a spinner. My remote repos are stored on a Mac mini on my local network and I access them via SSH. The git command line works fine, as does the tool Git Tower. I've filed this as FB22091014. Has anyone else seen this, and if so, found a solution?

MCP servers don’t start in Codex (Xcode 26.3)
I’m trying to use MCP servers with Xcode 26.3 Coding Intelligence (Codex agent). With a project-scoped config file at /.codex/config.toml, MCP servers are not reliably loaded. /.codex/config.toml Example: [mcp_servers.Notion] url = "https://mcp.notion.com/mcp" enabled = true [mcp_servers.XcodeBuildMCP] command = "/bin/zsh" args = ["-lc", "/opt/homebrew/bin/npx -y xcodebuildmcp@beta mcp"] enabled = true tool_timeout_sec = 10000 Expected: Xcode consistently loads MCP servers defined in /.codex/config.toml across restarts. Actual: Xcode often only exposes xcode-tools. In some sessions MCP servers appear, but after restarting Xcode they may disappear. The global file at ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/CodingAssistant/codex/config.toml also seems managed/rewritten by Xcode and isn’t reliable for custom MCP servers. Questions Is /.codex/config.toml the official/supported way to configure MCP servers for Codex in Xcode right now? Are there any requirements for Xcode to load it (e.g. workspace must be Trusted, open .xcworkspace vs .xcodeproj, full restart/force quit, etc.)? Is there any logging/diagnostics to understand why the MCP server is not starting or not being picked up?

Code Signing Issue with Apple Developer Account (IXUserPresentableErrorDomain, Code: 14)
Hi, I am reaching out to seek assistance with a persistent code signing issue that is preventing our team from installing our iOS app, "Scoopz" (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/scoopz-real-life-real-video/id6449206831) on physical devices. We suspect there may be an issue with our Apple Developer account, as we have exhausted all standard troubleshooting steps without success. Below, I’ve provided details about the issue, the error logs, and the steps we’ve taken. Issue Description: When attempting to install the app on an iPhone using Xcode, we encounter the following error: Unable to Install “Scoopz: Debug” Domain: IXUserPresentableErrorDomain Code: 14 Recovery Suggestion: Failed to verify code signature of /[REDACTED_PATH]/OurApp.app : 0xe8008018 (The identity used to sign the executable is no longer valid.) The app builds successfully to the iOS Simulator and can be released to the App Store without issues, but it fails to debug on physical devices. Steps Taken: Our team has attempted the following troubleshooting steps without resolving the issue: Verified that our Apple Developer account is active and our team membership is valid. Checked certificates in Keychain Access and the Apple Developer Portal, ensuring they are not expired or revoked. We created and installed new Apple Development certificates. Confirmed that the provisioning profile includes the target device’s UDID, is associated with a valid certificate, and is not expired. We regenerated and reinstalled the profile. We tried both xcode managed and manually installed profiles. Cleaned the Xcode build folder, deleted the app from the device, and rebuilt the project. Despite these efforts, the issue persists across our entire development team, leading us to believe there may be a problem with our Apple Developer account or its associated certificates/profiles. Request for Assistance: We kindly request your help to: Investigate any potential issues with our Apple Developer account that could be causing this code signing error. Verify the status of our certificates and provisioning profiles on Apple’s servers. Provide guidance on any additional steps or configurations needed to resolve the error. If necessary, suggest how we can escalate this issue for further investigation. Full error log: Unable to Install “Scoopz: Debug” Domain: IXUserPresentableErrorDomain Code: 14 Recovery Suggestion: Failed to verify code signature of /[REDACTED_PATH]/OurApp.app : 0xe8008018 (The identity used to sign the executable is no longer valid.) Xcode 26.3 Codex Account just spinning
I have the new Xcode 26.3 running on an Intel MBP macOS 26.2 I have clicked to download Codex in the Xcode settings, then under the Intelligence section I select Codex but where it says "ChatGPT Account" there is a spinner that never ends. I suspect it is meant to show a Sign In button. I don't see any documentation to suggest this shouldn't work on Intel, so what gives? My "ChatGPT in Xcode" section is successfully signed in, and i've tried signing that out.

Using an API key with xcodebuild commands for Enterprise builds
Hey folks, Looking for some assistance with using an API key with xcodebuild commands to archive/export builds on our Enterprise developer account. The goal here is to allow Xcode to completely manage signing/certificates with our cloud distribution certificate, since these builds are happening in CI and we don't want to be manually handling user sessions/certificates on these machines. This is working great with our App Store account, but with our Enterprise account we're getting errors both archiving and exporting the builds. Here's an example of an export command that is giving errors: xcodebuild -exportArchive -exportOptionsPlist /path/to/exportOptions.plist -archivePath /path/to/archive.xcarchive -exportPath /path/to/export -authenticationKeyID *** -authenticationKeyIssuerID *** -authenticationKeyPath /path/to/key.p8 -allowProvisioningUpdates I've put some example values there, but we've double/triple checked the real values when this is actually running. These are the errors we're getting: 2026-02-02 12:30:04.022 xcodebuild[59722:1854348] DVTServices: Received response for 0794248F-E534-474D-ABBF-40C1375B6590 @ <https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/xcbuild/QH65B2/listTeams.action?clientId=XABBG36SBA>.

Use CFBundleVersion instead of CI_BUILD_NUMBER
Is there a way to use CFBundleVersion instead of CI_BUILD_NUMBER from XCode Cloud's workflow on Web ? We would like to have control over the major and minor version numbers of the build from the workflow.

Full error log: Unable to Install “Scoopz: Debug” Domain: IXUserPresentableErrorDomain Code: 14 Recovery Suggestion: Failed to verify code signature of /[REDACTED_PATH]/OurApp.app : 0xe8008018 (The identity used to sign the executable is no longer valid.) Would Xcode work with models from AWS Bedrock?
I use Claude Code with AWS Bedrock models. I see that Xcode 26.3 has a way to add model providers but I don't see the URL or API key in use with Claude Code. Is it possible, or are the protocols different and I have to convince my company to pay for an Anthropic subscription

Xcode 26.3 Codex Account just spinning

Are we doing something incorrect here? Is API key usage with xcodebuild not supported for Enterprise builds? Appreciate any help y'all can provide!

Xcode 26 beta 5 - actool version decode error killing CI builds
Getting a weird build failure with Xcode 26 beta 5 that I haven't seen before. Build works fine locally but fails in CI when building with xcodebuild with this error: build description signature: 7cb0bf47dd6decc14090f5ae23d66594 Build description path: /Users/user/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/ProjectName-dpklhpaqruhpwdbkihszqtqogzfb/Build/Intermediates.noindex/XCBuildData/7cb0bf47dd6decc14090f5ae23d66594.xcbuilddata error: Failed to decode version info for '/Applications/Xcode-beta.app/Contents/Developer/usr/bin/actool': The data couldn’t be read because it is missing. (stdout: '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>com.apple.ibtool.version</key> <dict> <key>bundle-version</key> <string>24118.1</string> <key>short-bundle-version</key> <string>26.0</string> </dict> </dict> </plist> ', stderr: '' The thing is, the data is definitely there - actool is outputting valid XML: <key>com.apple.ibtool.version</key> <dict> <key>bundle-version</key> <string>24118.1</string> <key>short-bundle-version</key> <string>26.0</string> </dict> But xcodebuild keeps saying it's missing. This error repeats like 15 times in the build log. Build command: set -o pipefail && xcodebuild -workspace "ProjectName/ProjectName.xcworkspace" -scheme "ProjectNameDeviceTests" -configuration "Debug" -destination "generic/platform=iOS" -resultBundlePath "Build for device/result_bundle.xcresult" -verbose TREAT_WARNINGS_AS_ERRORS=YES COMPILER_INDEX_STORE_ENABLE=NO -IDEBuildLocationStyle=Custom -IDECustomBuildLocationType=Absolute -IDECustomBuildProductsPath="$PWD/test_package" OTHER_SWIFT_FLAGS='${inherited} -Xfrontend -debug-time-function-bodies -Xfrontend -debug-time-expression-type-checking' SWIFT_COMPILATION_MODE=wholemodule clean build-for-testing The issue seems to come and go, sometimes cleaning the derived data and/or reset helps, sometimes it doesn't. Anyone else hitting this? Seems like a parsing bug in the beta where it can't read its own version info properly.
