Since the last Mac software upgrade, PDF's off my IMac are not being printed or aligned correctly. I have multiple printers and multiple apps and it all prints the same. This is not a "printer driver" issue or an app issue. I am suspecting that this may be an issue since upgrading to Sequonia 15.4.1. Looking to see if others have had this issue. Thanks.

I want to limit my child's phone usage at night by allowing them to scan a QR code to enforce app limitations via ScreenTime. When they scan the QR code, I'm still unable to prevent them from accessing the Phone, Messages, and Camera app via ScreenTime. Is there a way I can block or heavily restrict their access to these three apps via ScreenTime? How do I prevent my child from undoing or evading the ScreenTime enforcement I'm trying to enforce?

About a month ago (somewhere around the release of iOS 18.4.1 and MacOS 15.4.1) I started having issues with the iPhone Mirroring app, saying that it's unable to connect to iPhone, although it worked seamlessly before. It also might be worth mentioning that since these issues started, I can't AirPlay from my iPhone to my Mac unless I switch the "Allow Airplay for" option to either "Anyone on the same network" or "Everyone". I have developed a mobile app using SwiftUI that supports GoogleMaps. Now I am in the process of building a CarPlay application. I assume CarPlay only supports Apple MapKit, as I could not find any way to integrate the Google Maps. Below are few queries, Could you please guide me on how I can obtain the user's current location on the CarPlay app launch? Is there a way CarPlay can get the details from the mobile app(not pretty sure as its using Google Maps)? If the user is logged out from the mobile app, what is the flow in CarPlay? Do we have any standard login page asking user to login to the mobile app first? Is there any UI asking the user to capture the location in CarPlay? This is my first CarPlay app. Kindly guide me to a document or so that covers these details. Thanks a ton!!

OS macOS 15.4.1 What steps will reproduce the problem? (0) Make sure you have other third-party browsers on your computer, and that their names start with a letter before "M", for me it is Arc browser. (1) Install a previous version of Edge Mac Canary (it can be downloaded from official web site:https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/download/insider?cc=1&cs=426423789&form=MA13FJ). If you don't have an older version, you can download and save the current version, and then try the below steps after a day or two. (2) Eject the DMG from the Finder Sidebar. (3) Switch to the System Settings panel, set the "Default web browser" as Edge Mac Canary just installed. (4) Click a URL link from Notes, it will open in Edge Mac Canary. (5) Navigate to "Settings"->"About Microsoft Edge" in Edge and wait for the update information to show that update is complete (it will auto update to the latest version). (6) Check current result of "Default web browser" in System Settings again. What is the expected result? The "Default web browser" should still be Edge Canary. What happens instead? The "Default web browser" in System Settings will change to Arc. But this time, when you click the link from Notes, it will open in Safari, which means that "Default web browser is shown as Arc, but it is actually Safari. It is worth noting that if you start Edge Mac in step (3) and then set it as Default Browser in the "edge://settings/defaultBrowser" page, this problem will not occur after the update is completed. I've just watched "Meet Object Capture for iOS wwdc23" and have installed and run the app. After taking > 120 images of my model I clicked the "Finish" button and the app is now showing a spinning pinwheel. It has been running for about 22 hours. Is it going to finish or should I kill it? TIA!

Dear Developer, it used to be that when you were inside a Message and you clicked on the person‘s name you could bring up photos, links, etc., and pretty much all the photos would be there…at least for many months if not longer. However, when the iOS updated to 18, all the pictures disappeared and now I would have to download the entire set of images from the iCloud to get to the ones I want. It used to be so easy to access the photos under the name, I wouldn’t have to go searching for them. Furthermore, it left the pictures inside messages rather than leaving a gray box with paper emblem, file name, size & download option. Yes I understand that I could save all the pictures to my actual photos app, but I don’t always want to, however, I do sometimes want to go back and reference a picture within a text and now I’m not able to do that. I’m not sure if that was to save on memory/space or if it was just an accident of the fix on iOS 18, but it has really taken away a lot of convenience and accessibility. My search function has also been taken away because the pictures are no longer available inside the text. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.

My experiments have managed to damage my installed system and I am getting alerts that it needs to be re-installed. But when I try to get Recovery to re-install the same system, it refuses. It says my installed system is newer than what it could install. In general, what is the minimum I would need to change or remove from my current system to convince Recovery to re-install? For example: Could I just delete a certain small group of System files? Could I Erase only the Macintosh HD Volume in the container, leaving the Macintosh HD - data Volume intact? I really would rather not ERASE everything and restore it all from backups, just to satisfy Recovery that it will not be writing older over newer. It won't be, but since I have available applied updates, the version available for Restore is currently older than the damaged version on the drive.

Hello everyone, I recently installed the following update (today) : Version 15.5 beta (24F5053j). Since rebooting, my Thunderbolt ports have stopped working. I contacted Apple Support, but they simply advised me to wait for the next update, without being able to give me a specific timeframe.... Result: my USB-C external monitors are no longer recognized. Have any of you encountered the same problem? Do you have any tips or solutions to reactivate the Thunderbolt ports? Thanks in advance for your help!

Has anyone had the issue where you try to sign in and you have to repetitively put you log in in to finally take? When it does take you set up your syncing options but your photo's, Files and everything never sync. I've updated all my system files on my computer. I even did a clean install of my windows operating system and installed it and it's doing the same thing. Any suggestions?

I have an iPhone 12 mini and I am currently using it as a modem for my router. Previously it was running iOS 14, but the DHCP on iOS 14 doesn't work and Apple didn't fix it until iOS 15. Recently I upgraded the system to iOS 18.4 to get DHCP back, but I got a bigger problem. The iPhone will restart itself after 3 days, and then I just lost internet connection. The hotspot will not be turned on until I climbed on my bookshelf to unlock my phone. After I googled it, I found that it is a feature that Apple introduced in iOS 18.1. While I couldn't find any setting to turn it off. If this cannot be controlled by the user, then it is anyway a BUG than a feature.

I am working on a project that contains a QuickLook View and Some ARViews. I want to restrict the entire app to Portrait orientation, but I want to allow the ARView to have Portrait and Landscape orientation. If I restrict the app to Portrait in the Deployment Info settings, we can still turn the device to landscape in the ARView, However, there is an issue with "some" spatial audio files within the digital experience. Some spatial audio items, are placed appropriately, and others are panned oddly left. If we allow Landscape Left and Right in the Deployment Info settings, all spatial audio behaves appropriately. So, we need to "lock" every other view as Portrait and only allow Portrait and Landscape on the ARView. I'm not smart enough to know how to do that, but I found this excellent package on GitHub. When we wrap SwiftUI with UIKit, it appears every single view that contains an ARView is initialized at launch even though it is not visible. So, when the app launches, it is running multiple ARViews at once. It appears we need to have some kind of lazy loading, so this doesn't occur, but again, I am not knowledgable enough for this yet. I tried to wrap it all in a LazyVStack, I tried a LazyView struct, but I couldn't get it to build appropriately. I feel like this might be a common thing, so maybe there's already a simple answer I'm not able to locate? Any ideas??
