I am trying to get universal links to work in our app Firefox iOS The Problem: I am not able to get universal links to work for our release app or beta app scheme locally or with a TestFlight build. I am able to get it working on our development scheme with a locally hosted app site association file. I also was able to get it working using our development scheme but setting the bundle id to the release app bundle id. I also built a demo app with the release app id and the release app development certificate. It succeeded there as well. Implementation Steps: Added associated domains entitlement to the production and beta schemes for our main app target (No associated domains entitlements or capabilities added for any extensions) Confirmed that the bundle ids associated with these schemes have the associated domains capability Added applinks:blog.mozilla.org to associated domains list Confirmed in code that user activities are being handled via SceneDelegate.swift Steps to Debug: I have gone through and validated every step in the provided Universal Link Debugging. All were successful: Associated Domains Development -> Diagnostics: Opens Installed App Validate AASA host and applinks match curl -v https://blog.mozilla.org/.well-known/apple-app-site-association returns the expected json file swcutil dl correctly downloads the AASA blob swcutil verify succeeds I have inspected the IPA of our beta build and confirmed the App ID and the associated domains is an entitlement. I have looked at the console logs filtering by swcd. So what's the point of being able to block unto 50 apps per ManagedSettingStore via store.application.blockedApplications (which works fine) until removing the blocked apps or clearing the store. Hello, In one of our apps we use DeviceActivityReportExtension to show the user how much screen time is remaining. The calculation is working as expected, but we have noticed that the labels in our ScreenTimeBriefReport are not localized to the device language. Example: Device with language set to Swedish App fully translated to English and Swedish Result: All labels in app are using the Swedish translations, except the strings in our ScreenTimeBriefReport instance. These labels are using the English localization. I've verified it's using the English localization from our Localizable.xcstrings file. I tried logging device language from our ScreenTimeBriefReport instance, but I could not see anything in Console.app. I guess this is intentional so no sensitive user information can be extracted. Is this a known feature or bug? If it's the latter, is there a known workaround? Sincerely, César

My iOS app uses a Message Filter extension (via ILMessageFilterQueryHandling) and works only when run directly as the extension target. When installed normally (via TestFlight), the filter does not trigger at all — which I now believe is because iOS enforces the com.apple.developer.identitylookup entitlement at runtime. Anyone know anything about this? I put in a request for the entitlement last week but heard nothing back. Called Apple "technical" support and they had no idea what I was talking about. The documentation around this is EXTREMELY lacking in my opinion...

I've noticed that very consistently the Weatherkit API times out when I make a large(-ish) number of calls at 7am east coast time. If I make x calls between 7:00:00 and 7:01:00 about half of them time out (as do retries.) If I make 2x the calls between 7:15:00 and 7:16:00 there are close to zero time outs. I've looked at the logs, at the calls per second, etc., and there is no difference between 7 and 7:15. So, I'm not hitting a rate limit. It seems like Weatherkit itself just can't handle the traffic at peak times. Is there any other explanation? Does Apple intend to make sure the API can handle all the traffic they are getting paid to handle?

I'm trying to implement live caller id PIR server in python and I have an issue related to evaluation key config. I’ve set up a focus filter, but the perform() method in SetFocusFilterIntent isn't called when the focus mode is toggled on or off on my iPhone since I updated to iOS 18 beta (22A5326f). I can reproduce the issue for my app, but focus filters are also broken for any third-party apps installed on my phone, so I guess it's not specific to how I've implemented my filter intent. This used to work perfectly on iOS 17. I didn't change a single line of code, and it broke completely on the latest iOS 18 beta. I've filed a bug report including a sysdiagnose (FB14715113). To the developers out there, is this something you are also observing in your apps?

We had a question that came up when we comparing data from WeatherKit to other sources - WeatherKit visibility was well beyond the boundaries we had historically, even from Darksky. That raises two questions: is visibility actually in meters like the docs say? is this visibility at ground level, 500ft, or some other height? We were seeing visibility numbers of up to 40 miles (after converting the number the API sent to miles), where all of our other sources are usually within 10 miles

Hey, I'm trying to update my old app that used DarkSky to WeatherKit, and struggling. I always get: ailed to generate jwt token for: com.apple.weatherkit.authservice with error: Error Domain=WeatherDaemon.WDSJWTAuthenticatorServiceListener.Errors Code=2 "(null)" This is regardless if I do it on my iPad, or in the simulator. I have done the following: Selected WeatherKit on the Capabilities and App Services tabs of the Identifier section on developer. Put it under signing and capabilities in XCode I've tried making a new provisioning profile, cleaning build folder, etc. Not sure what to do here. I suspect part of this problem is that I developed this app in 2018 and now I'm trying to update it. I am able to run the app on TestFlight, but not as an internal tester. Apple won't let me, so I have to add myself as an external tester. Thanks for any help you can provide!
