Hi, we are implementing ID&V and there is a requirement regarding the flow for Apple Pay.
In order to clarify the case I will describe the use case scenario or steps to reproduce first:
add a card to the iPhone wallet app (yellow path verification required). Do not complete the ID&V process.
add a card to the Watch via the Wallet inside the iPhone Watch app (yellow path verification required). Same as before, do not complete the ID&V
complete ID&V process using the Issuer App either from iPhone or Watch.
the Issuer app receives the application:openURL:options: callback on its AppDelegate. In the options dictionary, we can not see the UIApplicationOpenURLOptionsSourceApplicationKey populated (it is nil).
At this moment, for the card we are adding there are now two tokens, both to be verified via ID&V process. One is on the iPhone and one is on the Apple Watch associated with the same iPhone.
The url received at step 4 contains the serial number which identifies the digitized card and matches with both the tokens in the iPhone and in the Apple Watch.
We need something to detect programmatically if the digitization process started from the iPhone Wallet app or from the wallet inside the Watch app.
Could you please help us to identify how we could discriminate if the ID&V process has been started for the iPhone token or for the Apple Watch token?
Thanks

Hello,
I am developing an Apple Pay and In-App Provisioning integration for the bank where I work. All entitlements are properly configured, and we are integrated correctly with our Payment Network Operator (PNO).
We are using PKAddPaymentPassViewControllerDelegate to handle the provisioning process. The flow progresses as expected up to the Terms and Conditions screen. However, after accepting the terms, the process fails with the message:
"Could not add card."
Upon checking the device logs using the Wallet profile configuration, I observed the following response from Apple's backend:
Response:
https://nc-pod10-smp-device.apple.com:443/broker/v4/devices/041315032816900221610987313158566F368A9CEBA1291E/cards/745f792b9d0644e5a6e713d54f505296/enable 500 Time profile: 1.80458 seconds

x-conversation-id = "6ec59a63424f4035915e32f22ea645e4"
Vary = "accept-language"
Content-Type = "application/json"
x-pod = "nc-pod10"
x-keystone-correlationid = "E3DD5A5A-FD18-4500-8570-2BD1334E281C"

x-envoy-upstream-service-time = "964"
x-pod-region = "paymentpass.com.apple"
}
{
errorCode = 40456;
statusCode = 500;
}
This seems to indicate that the card enablement step is failing on the server side. Our internal systems have not logged any request failure from Apple at this step, which makes it difficult to pinpoint whether the issue is in the PNO integration, entitlement configuration, or something else.
We are currently testing in a production environment on a physical device (not using sandbox), and provisioning flows are initiated through our iOS app using PKAddPaymentPassRequest.
Could you please help us interpret error code 40456 and identify what steps we should take to resolve this issue? If needed, we can also provide the full device log and additional details.
Thank you in advance for your support.

Hello,
I’m experiencing a strange issue with a newly created Subscription Group in my iOS app.
For all my existing subscription groups, everything works perfectly — initial purchase, renewals, cancellations, all notifications arrive normally.
But for this one newly created group, the first purchase never triggers any server notification from App Store Server Notifications (ASSN).
⸻
📘 Problem Summary
• I created a new Subscription Group in App Store Connect.
• The products are all Approved and Published for over a week.
• Users can successfully purchase the subscription in production.
• The purchase is shown as Purchased in the App Store purchase UI.
• The receipt can be fetched locally on device.
• But my server receives no notifications, including:
• DID_RENEW
• DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_STATUS
• SUBSCRIBED
• ONE_TIME_CHARGE
• CONSUMPTION_REQUEST
• etc.
The old subscription groups still send notifications normally, so the notification URL and server infrastructure are correct.
Can i, personally, create .pkpass for other companies using my apple developer ID?
In order to create .pkpass, I need to create passTypIdentifier and teamIdentifier using apple developer ID
Is it okay to create those two identifiers and create coupons or membership cards for other companies?
I just wonder if it is against the law or developer guide.

I am working on implementing merchant token notifications. When calling this endpoint https://developer.apple.com/documentation/merchanttokennotificationservices/merchant-token-event-retrieval, the result contains a CardMetadata object with an expirationDate field (see https://developer.apple.com/documentation/merchanttokennotificationservices/cardmetadata). What is the format of this field? The spec only mentions that it has a maximum length of 8 characters.
Team,
We are currently checking out on Apple Pay using ALL and MRU as currencies. We have authorized the payment via Touch ID; however, we are not receiving the onPaymentAuthorized event.
Could you please confirm if Apple Pay supports ALL and MRU currencies? We have confirmed that it works with other currencies.
Thank you!

We have finished integrating Apple Pay in our app and our payment processor is requiring us to send the 3dSecure version used for apple pay (2.1,2.2,2.3,etc.). I believe this only applies to mastercard but would appreciate if anyone has run into something similar and what you specified. I have not been able to find anything in Apple's documentation specifying the version that is used.
Hi Team,
For last 24 hours one of our team members is unable to login to apple dev portal due to two factor authentication not being sent.
Error we are getting is "Verification codes can't be sent to this phone number at this time. Please try again later"

Hi everyone,
I’m encountering a strange issue with Apple Pay in our React Native iOS app using the Stripe React Native SDK.
Summary of the Problem:
• Apple Pay shows up as an available payment method inside the Stripe Payment Sheet.
• When I tap Apple Pay, the Apple Pay sheet opens normally.
• After confirming payment, the Apple Pay sheet immediately closes, and nothing happens.
• No payment is created and no request reaches Stripe’s servers.
On Stripe Dashboard the PaymentIntent remains incomplete, with no errors, which means the failure happens before Stripe receives anything.
Environment
• React Native with @stripe/stripe-react-native
• StripeProvider configured with:
<StripeProvider
publishableKey={...}
merchantIdentifier="merchant.com.app.venga"
stripeAccountId={...}
urlScheme="venga"
>
Apple Pay works on our web checkout with the same merchant identifier.
We have verified all of the required Apple Pay setup:
• Merchant ID exists, active, and matches exactly.
• Merchant ID added to the iOS app target in Xcode → Signing & Capabilities.
• Apple Pay capability enabled.
• Merchant domain is verified (web checkout works).
• Apple Pay certificate and merchant certificate are valid.
• Stripe publishable key and merchantIdentifier are correct.
• Stripe SDK correctly initialized.
• Device region supports Apple Pay.
Extra Observations:
• The PaymentIntent’s allowed_payment_methods includes "card" and Apple Pay does appear in the payment sheet.
• But after tapping Pay → the Apple Pay sheet closes instantly.
• There is no callback with an error, and nothing appears in Stripe logs.
• We are testing in Sweden. As far as I know Apple Pay should work fine here.
Questions:
What could cause the Apple Pay sheet to dismiss instantly after attempting a payment?
Could this be caused by a merchant ID mismatch—even if Apple Pay appears in the sheet?
Is there any Apple-device-level requirement (region, wallet config, card type) that could cause this silent failure?
Is there a way to get more detailed logs when Apple Pay closes before Stripe receives anything?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
During checkout at apple.com using a non-supported Apple Pay on the Web browser, apple.com presents a QR like code offering to "Scan Code with iPhone" to pay. The payment continues using Apple Pay on the iPhone after scan.
We already offer Apple Pay and Apple Pay on the Web. Is this QR code option available for us for non-supported browsers? Could you point me to the docs to add it? Thank you.

Hello,
We are working on integrating billing into our dating app, targeted at the Russian market. Our main requirement is to support subscriptions with automatic renewal and cancellation.
We understand that, according to App Store Review Guideline, all digital subscriptions should use Apple In-App Purchase (IAP). However, we are unsure how this applies in Russia, where some local regulations may limit the use of non-Russian payment processors, and where not all Russian bank cards are accepted by Apple.
Our question is:
-For iOS apps in Russia, is it strictly required to use Apple IAP for subscriptions?
-Are there any approved exceptions allowing integration with local processors such as Robokassa or YooKassa?
-How are other developers currently handling subscriptions for the Russian market?
We want to ensure full compliance and avoid any risk of rejection or removal.
Thank you in advance for any clarification.
Best regards,
Dan
Hi,
You're here because you've had issues with your implementation of Wallet Extensions for Apple Pay In-App Provisioning or In-App Verification. To prevent sending sensitive credentials in plain text, create a new report in Feedback Assistant to share the details requested below with the appropriate log profiles installed.
Gathering Required Information for Troubleshooting Apple Pay In-App Provisioning or In-App Verification Issues
While troubleshooting Apple Pay In-App Provisioning or In-App Verification, it is essential that the issuer is able to collect logs on their device and check those logs for error message. This is also essential when reporting issues to Apple. To gather the required data for your own debugging as well as reporting issues, please perform the following steps on the test device:
Install the Apple Pay and Wallet profiles on your iOS or watchOS device. If the issue occurs on Mac, continue to Step 2.
Reproduce the issue and make a note of the timestamp when the issue occurred, while optionally capturing screenshots or video.
Gather a sysdiagnose on the same iOS or watchOS device, or on macOS.
Create a Feedback Assistant report with the following information:
The bundle IDs
App bundle ID
Non-UI app extension bundle ID (if applicable)
UI app extension bundle ID (if applicable)
The serial number of the device.
For iOS and watchOS: Open Settings > General > About > Serial Number (tap and hold to copy).
For macOS: Open the Apple () menu > About This Mac > Serial Number.
The SEID (Secure Element Identifier) of the device, represented as a HEX encoded string.
For iOS and watchOS: Open Settings > General > About > SEID (tap and hold to copy).
For macOS: Open the Apple () menu > About This Mac > System Report > NVMExpress > Serial Number.
The sysdiagnose gathered after reproducing the issue.
The timestamp (including timezone) of when the issue was reproduced.
The type of provisioning failure (e.g., error at Terms & Conditions, error when adding a card, etc.)
The issuer/network/country of the provisioned card (e.g., Mastercard – US)
Last 4 digits of the FPAN
Last 4 digits of the DPAN (if available)
Was this test initiated from the Issuer App? (e.g., yes or no)
The type of environment (e.g., sandbox or production)
Screenshots or videos of errors and unexpected behaviors (optional).
Important: From the logs gathered above, you should be able to determine the cause of the failure from PassbookUIService, PassKit or PassKitCore, and by filtering for your SEID or bundle ID of your app or app extensions in the Console app.
Submitting your feedback
Before you submit to Feedback Assistant, please confirm the requested information above is included in your feedback. Failure to provide the requested information will only delay my investigation into the reported issue within your Apple Pay client.
After your submission to Feedback Assistant is complete, please respond in your existing Developer Forums post with the Feedback ID. Once received, I can begin my investigation and determine if this issue is caused by an error within your client, a configuration issue within your developer account, or an underlying system bug.
Cheers,

Hello,
I am currently testing an Adyen integration with Sylius and need to verify Apple Pay with Cartes Bancaires in the sandbox environment. Could you please advise how Cartes Bancaires can be tested in Apple Pay Sandbox (e.g. cards details)?
Thank you in advance for your guidance.
Best regards,
Grzegorz
I am writing regarding an issue I have encountered while attempting to complete a payment using test users created within the Sandbox environment of Apple Pay. The problem persists specifically when trying to make payments through the demo page at https://applepaydemo.apple.com/.
Problem Description:
When initiating a payment process with either of the following test user accounts.
The flow proceeds as follows:
The Apple Pay window appears correctly.
Processing begins but does not conclude successfully.
After processing concludes, there is no prompt for 'Pay with Touch ID'.
Additional Information:
Device & OS Version: MacOS 15.3.2
Browser & Version: Safari 18.3.1
Real Device or Simulator: Real device used
First Occurrence: Before January 1st, 2025
Custom Configurations or Backend Used: No custom configurations or backend modifications are being utilized during interaction with the demo page.
Could you please provide assistance in resolving this issue?
We have been informed by a third-party subscription tracking service(Adjust) that, due to the following specification of App Store Connect, it is not possible to connect an STG app (a non-published testing app) with their server:
Specification:
Since Apple’s API only allows access for apps that are already published, it is not possible to enable subscription tracking for iOS apps that are not yet published.
Could you please confirm if our understanding of this specification is correct?
Additionally, is there any method or recommended approach to verify subscription tracking behavior with an STG (non-published) app before the app is released?
Thank you very much for your support.

For the pushToken sent by APNS to register a wallet pass for update notifications, is there a max length or size that APNS will send? I save the token in my database and have it defined as varchar(256), but I have had some instances where the pushToken is larger than that. I'd like to know if there's an absolute max size that APNS will send. Then I'll know if I should reject requests with tokens larger than what's expected, and/or if I need to make the token size larger in the database.
Scenario
User is actively subscribed to Monthly Package
From the Device App (Manage Subscriptions), user upgrades to Yearly Package
Purchase completes successfully on device
Issue
Do not receive any server notification for this action
Month Package Purchase Date: 2025-11-11 19:06:45.537 +0600
Month to Yearly Upgradation Date: 2025-12-11

I am implementing apple pay and the merchant validation is failing with error (error request failed with status code 417). I am using react js in the frontend and node js in backend, this is my code
const httpsAgent = new https.Agent({
rejectUnauthorized: false,
cert: fs.readFileSync(
path.join(__dirname, "../../../certificates/merchant_id_prod.pem")
),
key: fs.readFileSync(
path.join(__dirname, "../../../certificates/merchant_id_prod.key")
),
});
const data = {
merchantIdentifier: "merchantId",
displayName: "Check",
initiative: "web",
initiativeContext: "domain.com",
};
const response = await axios.post(validationURL, data, { httpsAgent });
Hi ,
This is regarding the ApplePayRecurringPayment Request and Apple Pay on Web functionality. Does Apple Pay on web providing functionality that collects payments from the stored credit card issuer bank (or) it only provides secured wallet functionality that provides a token which then has to be utilized to send a seperate payment request through a third party payment gateway to collect the payments from the credit card issuer bank.
thanks

Currently, on our Production environment, when calling https://apple-pay-gateway.apple.com/paymentservices/paymentSessio,n we are randomly receiving:
"Payment Services Exception merchantId={Value} unauthorized to process transactions on behalf of merchantId={Value} reason={Value} is not a registered merchant in WWDR and isn't properly authorized via Mass Enablement, either."
Since launching Apple Pay on our platform we have received a new Domain Verification File and looking at some of the Domain Verification File that are hosted on the domains they are different to ours.
Questions around the Domain Verification File
Would we have to update every single Domain Verification File every time we receive a new one ?
Does the paymentSession verfiy/call the Domain Verification File on the domain listed at https://[DOMAIN_NAME]/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association ?
What happens if the Domain Verification File doesnt match the one that we currently have ?
Would we have to regrester our Domains everytime we get a new Domain Verification File ?
