Error during In-App Provisioning (eligibility step, PKErrorHTTPResponseStatusCodeKey=500)
We are implementing in-app provisioning in our fintech app; We are reaching out to ask for your help in understanding what is going wrong so we can fix it. What happens: User taps “Add to Apple Wallet” → we present PKAddPaymentPassViewController → they tap Next → after a few seconds the flow fails with "Set Up Later" alert. Apple Wallet Push Token length
For the pushToken sent by APNS to register a wallet pass for update notifications, is there a max length or size that APNS will send? I save the token in my database and have it defined as varchar(256), but I have had some instances where the pushToken is larger than that. I'd like to know if there's an absolute max size that APNS will send. Then I'll know if I should reject requests with tokens larger than what's expected, and/or if I need to make the token size larger in the database.

Third party payment service
Hi everyone, I have a question regarding App Store approval. In my country, Apple In-App Purchases are not supported, so for users in unsupported regions we need to use a third-party payment provider. For countries where In-App Purchases are supported, we plan to use Apple IAP. Could you please advise on the correct approach to ensure the app complies with App Store guidelines and can be approved?

Non standard Wallet app non suppressed by pass suppression entitlement
We have an app that uses the pass-presentation-suppression entitlement and calls requestAutomaticPassPresentationSuppression to prevent the Wallet app from being presented when the device is displaying a barcode to a barcode/nfc reader. This works as expected for users of the standard Apple Wallet app. However, it does not prevent third-party wallet apps from being launched, which hides the barcode and prevents it from being scanned properly. What options do I have to prevent third-party wallet apps from launching or interfering while our app is actively presenting a barcode?

How to test iap (subcription) purchase?
Hi :) I'm new to app store connect, and I just want to verify what does it take to be able to test subscription for a new app that isn't approved yet using sandbox? Or is this not possible that the app has to be approved first? More context below: My app is a new app, I only submitted for review and I linked the subscription from the app’s In-App Purchases and Subscriptions section on the version page when submit it for review. It got rejected for now. When the app review status is both in-review and rejected, I've tried to test my subscription, where there is a button (like "subscribe"/"become a member") in my app that user can click on, which it calls ios's IAPProvider.startMembershipPurchase, I just get Error: [IAPService] Product not found: [<my_subscription_id>]. I ensured my subscription's product id in app store connect matches with the one in my code. I can see the "rejected" status both on my app and the subscription. So can anyone help clarify if the app has to be approved first in order to test subscription? Or am I missing any other setup? Or it might just be my code? Thanks in advance! Any info is super helpful!

In App provisioning production testing fails
During the in‑app provisioning flow, we successfully obtain the provisioning certificates and generate object for posting. However, in the production environment the flow fails when posted to a broker. broker/v4/devices/{SEID}/cards The staging environment works correctly and provisioning completes without issues. Object {encryptedCardData, activationData, ephemeralPublicKey} is build. The T&C screen never appears. FB22332303

Apple Pay on the Web Merchant Validation Intermittent 403 Forbidden
We are experiencing intermittent 403 Forbidden errors during Apple Pay on web merchant validation in our production and sandbox environment. Has anyone else started seeing 403 Forbidden errors recently (since mid-2025)? Why would merchant validation be sometimes successful and sometimes fail with 403? Could this be related to new Apple Pay gateway changes or stricter validation rules? Any additional debug steps or permanent solutions we should try? Thank you.

cybersource Payment Gateway not able to decrypt paymenttoken
Cybersource production support has clarified issue as below "On the BAD Case, it seems that the Apple Payload did not contain the "onlinePaymentCryptogram" object within the JSON. The Cryptogram is critical and mandatory. Since the merchant cannot really control this, and since CYBS is just decrypting the payload and uses it, we cannot comment as to why it was missing. The merchant would need to reach out to Apple and/or decrypt the payment themselves locally to check if and why this data was not present, for troubleshooting purposes."

Could not update App IDs Identifier
We are unable to add/remove Merchant IDs in App IDs identifier profile, after pressing "Edit" button on "Apple Pay Payment Processing" section, then choosing desired Merchant ID to check/uncheck from the available Merchant IDs, then pressing Continue/Save/Confirm buttons - nothing happens, the "Save" button text briefly changes to "Processing" and then back To "Save" and we still have previously enabled Merchant IDs and the Save button is still in enabled state, any help?

Apple Pay on the Web for Insurance Renewals
Our company sells insurance and we'd like to offer annual renewals via Apple Pay on the Web. Most of the docs seem to point towards using recurringpaymentrequest but this method required an amount value which would only be calculated at renewal time. It appears that Shopify is doing something akin to what we want where they do auto payments so my question is can we do annual payments with unknown renewal prices with Apple Pay for Web ? What we cannot do is show the renewal price like this as it being insurance is almost certain to change. This is our current code which works but won't get past the regulator. const applePayPaymentRequestAnnual = { countryCode: 'GB', currencyCode: 'GBP', supportedNetworks: ['visa', 'masterCard'], merchantCapabilities: ['supports3DS'], requiredBillingContactFields: ['postalAddress', 'email'], requiredShippingContactFields: ['phone'], recurringPaymentRequest: { paymentDescription: 'Annual Insurance Renewal', regularBilling: { label: 'Annual Renewal Premium', amount: price, paymentTiming: "recurring", recurringPaymentIntervalUnit: "year", recurringPaymentStartDate: year + "-" + month + "-" + day + "T00:00:00.000Z", type: 'final' }, managementURL: window.location.protocol + '//' + window.location.host + '/manage-policy', tokenNotificationURL: window.location.protocol + '//' + window.location.host + '/apple-pay-notifications' }, lineItems: [{ label: alabel, amount: price, }], total: { label: alabel, amount: price, type: "final" }, }

Gathering Required Information for Troubleshooting Apple Pay In-App Provisioning or In-App Verification Issues
Hi, You're here because you've had issues with your implementation of In-App Provisioning Extensions for Apple Pay In-App Provisioning or In-App Verification. To prevent sending sensitive credentials in plain text, create a new report in Feedback Assistant to share the details requested below with the appropriate log profiles installed. Gathering Required Information for Troubleshooting Apple Pay In-App Provisioning or In-App Verification Issues While troubleshooting Apple Pay In-App Provisioning or In-App Verification, it is essential that the issuer is able to collect logs on their device and check those logs for error message. This is also essential when reporting issues to Apple. To gather the required data for your own debugging as well as reporting issues, please perform the following steps on the test device: Install the Apple Pay and Wallet profiles on your iOS or watchOS device. If the issue occurs on Mac, continue to Step 2. Reproduce the issue and make a note of the timestamp when the issue occurred, while optionally capturing screenshots or video. Gather a sysdiagnose on the same iOS or watchOS device, or on macOS. Create a Feedback Assistant report with the following information: The bundle IDs App bundle ID Non-UI app extension bundle ID (if applicable) UI app extension bundle ID (if applicable) The serial number of the device. For iOS and watchOS: Open Settings > General > About > Serial Number (tap and hold to copy). For macOS: Open the Apple () menu > About This Mac > Serial Number. The SEID (Secure Element Identifier) of the device, represented as a HEX encoded string. For iOS and watchOS: Open Settings > General > About > SEID (tap and hold to copy). For macOS: Open the Apple () menu > About This Mac > System Report > NVMExpress > Serial Number. The sysdiagnose gathered after reproducing the issue. The timestamp (including timezone) of when the issue was reproduced. The type of provisioning failure (e.g., error at Terms & Conditions, error when adding a card, etc.) The issuer/network/country of the provisioned card (e.g., Mastercard – US) Last 4 digits of the FPAN Last 4 digits of the DPAN (if available) Was this test initiated from the Issuer App? (e.g., yes or no) The type of environment (e.g., sandbox or production) Screenshots or videos of errors and unexpected behaviors (optional). Important: From the logs gathered above, you should be able to determine the cause of the failure from PassbookUIService, PassKit or PassKitCore, and by filtering for your SEID or bundle ID of your app or app extensions in the Console app. Submitting your feedback Before you submit to Feedback Assistant, please confirm the requested information above is included in your feedback. Failure to provide the requested information will only delay my investigation into the reported issue within your Apple Pay client. After your submission to Feedback Assistant is complete, please respond in your existing Developer Forums post with the Feedback ID. Once received, I can begin my investigation and determine if this issue is caused by an error within your client, a configuration issue within your developer account, or an underlying system bug. How to test TokenNotificationURL in sandbox?
We are trying to implement the the tokenNotificationUrl in a deferredBilling request so that we can get MPAN tokens (when supported) back from ApplePay. We want to be able to test that the events are working and firing. I have tried creating a deferred billing request, and then unlinked my test card from my test account and did not receive any event at my token notification endpoint. What is the best way to approach this from a lower environment perspective? We are trying to simulate the UNLINK EventType in the MerchantTokenEventResponse. Also can you confirm that providing this URL is what determines if we get an MPAN vs a DPAN (when MPAN is supported) or is there a different mechanism that turns that on?

How can I integrate Apple Pay subscription products?
We have used the ApplePayRecurringRequest parameter required for Apple Pay subscriptions, but during testing the payment, the Apple Pay payment page shown to the user remains the same as the one-time payment page, without any subscription information.

Thank you.

Our company sells insurance and we'd like to offer annual renewals via Apple Pay on the Web. Most of the docs seem to point towards using recurringpaymentrequest but this method required an amount value which would only be calculated at renewal time. It appears that Shopify is doing something akin to what we want where they do auto payments so my question is can we do annual payments with unknown renewal prices with Apple Pay for Web ? What we cannot do is show the renewal price like this as it being insurance is almost certain to change. This is our current code which works but won't get past the regulator. const applePayPaymentRequestAnnual = { countryCode: 'GB', currencyCode: 'GBP', supportedNetworks: ['visa', 'masterCard'], merchantCapabilities: ['supports3DS'], requiredBillingContactFields: ['postalAddress', 'email'], requiredShippingContactFields: ['phone'], recurringPaymentRequest: { paymentDescription: 'Annual Insurance Renewal', regularBilling: { label: 'Annual Renewal Premium', amount: price, paymentTiming: "recurring", recurringPaymentIntervalUnit: "year", recurringPaymentStartDate: year + "-" + month + "-" + day + "T00:00:00.000Z", type: 'final' }, managementURL: window.location.protocol + '//' + window.location.host + '/manage-policy', tokenNotificationURL: window.location.protocol + '//' + window.location.host + '/apple-pay-notifications' }, lineItems: [{ label: alabel, amount: price, }], total: { label: alabel, amount: price, type: "final" }, }

We have used the ApplePayRecurringRequest parameter required for Apple Pay subscriptions, but during testing the payment, the Apple Pay payment page shown to the user remains the same as the one-time payment page, without any subscription information. Could you please check if there is an issue with our parameters or if there is an issue with the merchantIdentifier being used? Here is the ApplePayRequestData that we are using. { "supportedMethods": "https://apple.com/apple-pay", "data": { "version": 3, "merchantIdentifier": "***", "merchantCapabilities": [ "supports3DS", "supportsCredit", "supportsDebit" ], "supportedNetworks": [ "visa", "masterCard" ], "countryCode": "US", "recurringPaymentRequest": { "paymentDescription": "A description of the recurring payment to display to the user in the payment sheet.", "regularBilling": { "label": "Recurring", "amount": "4.99", "paymentTiming": "recurring", "recurringPaymentStartDate": "2025-06-02T16:00:00.000Z" }, "trialBilling": { "label": "7 Day Trial", "amount": "0.00", "paymentTiming": "recurring", "recurringPaymentEndDate": "2025-06-02T16:00:00.000Z" }, "billingAgreement": "A localized billing agreement displayed to the user in the payment sheet prior to the payment authorization.", "managementURL": "https://applepaydemo.apple.com", "tokenNotificationURL": "https://applepaydemo.apple.com" }, "additionalLineItems": [ { "label": "7 Day Trial", "amount": "0.00", "paymentTiming": "recurring", "recurringPaymentEndDate": "2025-06-02T16:00:00.000Z" }, { "label": "Recurring", "amount": "4.99", "paymentTiming": "recurring", "recurringPaymentStartDate": "2025-06-02T16:00:00.000Z" } ] }

cybersource Payment Gateway not able to decrypt paymenttoken
Cybersource production support has clarified issue as below "On the BAD Case, it seems that the Apple Payload did not contain the "onlinePaymentCryptogram" object within the JSON. The Cryptogram is critical and mandatory. Since the merchant cannot really control this, and since CYBS is just decrypting the payload and uses it, we cannot comment as to why it was missing. The merchant would need to reach out to Apple and/or decrypt the payment themselves locally to check if and why this data was not present, for troubleshooting purposes."
