Using a merchant session from an external website in PKPaymentAuthorizationController?
There's a purchase I make pretty often on a particular site and I'm trying to automate the boring parts with a macOS app. I can pull the merchant session from their ValidateMerchant endpoint. I can see the Apple Pay dialogue appear, then it will disappear with "Payment Not Completed." Is it fundamentally not possible to use someone else's merchant session in your own app? Thanks

In app verification flow without addPaymentPassViewController
How do we get addPaymentPassViewController response for in app verification without calling that function ? Currently we have working in app provisioning but not in app verification. The apple docs say "The process of generating the cryptographic OTP value is the same as for generating activationData for In-App Provisioning.". How is it the same when in in app provisioning we have this button that returns all necessary info and for in app verification there is no clear way of recieving same info.

Apple Pay : completeMerchantValidation : InvalidAccessError : The object does not support the operation or argument
Hi Team, I have merchant session object - {"epochTimestamp":1748333121032,"expiresAt":1748336721032,"merchantSessionIdentifier":"SSH7CCD205FEEDD45AD84B77374D098B335_916523AAED1343F5BC5815E12BEE9250AFFDC1A17C46B0DE5A943F0F94927C24","nonce":"2d18eab4","merchantIdentifier":"8535F497EC92999BAD63C6F213F0F32DEEB5DBF8A0A91007F6C1128537B6FB19","domainName":"f7071159c1tst-store.occa.ocs.oraclecloud.com","displayName":"DDF Gathering Required Information for Troubleshooting Apple Pay on the Web Merchant Issues
Hi, To ensure the issue is not caused by an error within your app or web service request, please review the Apple Pay Merchant Integration Guide. Additionally, please review the following technotes on Apple Pay: TN3173: Troubleshooting issues with your Apple Pay merchant identifier configuration TN3174: Diagnosing issues with the Apple Pay payment sheet on your website TN3175: Diagnosing issues with displaying the Apple Pay button on your website TN3176: Troubleshooting Apple Pay payment processing issues TN3206: Updating Apple Pay certificates If the resources above don’t help identify the cause of the error, please provide more information about your app or web services to get started. To prevent sending sensitive credentials in plain text, create a report in Feedback Assistant to share the details requested below. Additionally, if the error is something we need to investigate further, the appropriate engineering teams also have access to the same information and can communicate with you directly within Feedback Assistant for more information, as needed. Please follow the instructions below to submit your report. For issues occurring with your native app or web service, perform the following steps: Install the Apple Pay profile on your iOS or watchOS device. If the issue occurs on Mac, continue to Step 2. Reproduce the issue and make a note of the timestamp when the issue occurred, while optionally capturing screenshots or video. Gather a sysdiagnose on the same iOS or watchOS device, or on macOS. Create a Feedback Assistant report with the following information: The serial number of the device. For iOS and watchOS: Open Settings > General > About > Serial Number (tap and hold to copy). For macOS: Open the Apple () menu > About This Mac > Serial Number. The SEID (Secure Element Identifier) of the device, represented as a HEX encoded string. For iOS and watchOS: open Settings > General > About > SEID (tap and hold to copy). For macOS: Open the Apple () menu > About This Mac > System Report > NVMExpress > Serial Number. The sysdiagnose gathered after reproducing the issue. The timestamp of when the issue was reproduced. Screenshots or videos of errors and unexpected behaviors (optional). Important: From the logs gathered above, you should be able to determine the cause of the failure from PassbookUIService, PassKit or PassKitCore, and by filtering for your SEID or merchant domain in the Safari Web Inspector. See Inspecting Safari on macOS to learn more. Submitting your feedback Before you submit to Feedback Assistant, please confirm the requested information above is included in your feedback. Failure to provide the requested information will only delay my investigation into the reported issue within your Apple Pay website. After your submission to Feedback Assistant is complete, please respond in your existing Developer Forums post with the Feedback ID. Once received, I can begin my investigation and determine if this issue is caused by an error within your web implementation, a configuration issue within your developer account, or an underlying system bug. Cheers, Paris X Pinkney |  WWDR | DTS Engineer

Inquiry Regarding Apple Pay Currency Support
Team, We are currently checking out on Apple Pay using ALL and MRU as currencies. We have authorized the payment via Touch ID; however, we are not receiving the onPaymentAuthorized event. Could you please confirm if Apple Pay supports ALL and MRU currencies? We have confirmed that it works with other currencies. Thank you!

In-App Provisioning: cannot add card to a wallet
We are developing an app which allows users to generate a HSBC virtual card using Mastercard API and add this card to an apple wallet. Staging test was passed successfully, but we are stuck in a production test phase. T&C is not even visible, 'Card is not added' is popped on a screen before that. User taps “Add to Apple Wallet” → we present PKAddPaymentPassViewController → they tap Next → after a few seconds the flow fails with "Set Up Later" alert. Apple Pay In-App Provisioning – Apple server failure when adding a card
We are implementing Apple Pay In-App Provisioning in our issuer iOS application and are encountering a HTTP 500 error returned from Apple servers during the provisioning flow. The issue occurs after generating the encrypted payload and attempting to complete the provisioning process. The Apple service responds with 500 Internal Server Error, preventing the card from being added to Wallet. We would appreciate assistance identifying whether this is caused by: • a payload formatting issue, • cryptographic material mismatch, • entitlement / configuration issue, • or a server-side issue. Environment Platform • iOS: 26.3.1 • Device: iPhone 13 mini • Xcode: 26.3.1 Apple Pay configuration • In-App Provisioning entitlement enabled • Issuer app authorized by Apple for provisioning • Payment Network: Mastercard • Token Service Provider (TSP): MDES Testing environment • Production • App distribution method: TestFlight Provisioning Flow Overview Our implementation follows the standard Apple Pay In-App Provisioning flow: 1. User taps Add to Apple Wallet in issuer app. 2. App presents PKAddPaymentPassViewController. 3. App receives: • Apple public certificates • nonce • nonceSignature 4. Issuer backend generates: • encryptedPassData • activationData • ephemeralPublicKey 5. These values are returned to the app. 6. App constructs PKAddPaymentPassRequest. 7. Wallet attempts provisioning. At this point the request fails and Apple servers return HTTP 500. We see this in the system console, with the phone having Wallet debugging profile installed. Checklist – Common Issues Verified Based on the Apple Pay In-App Provisioning demo guidance, we verified the following configuration items. Entitlements • com.apple.developer.payment-pass-provisioning enabled • Apple Pay capability enabled in Xcode • Correct Team ID and bundle configuration App configuration • PKAddPaymentPassViewController used for provisioning • PKAddPaymentPassViewControllerDelegate implemented • generateRequestWithCertificateChain implemented correctly Cryptographic data • encryptedPassData • activationData • ephemeralPublicKey All values are generated by our issuer backend and returned to the app Feedback ID: FB22249031 (In app provisioning error 500)

Approve with Side Button' is not displayed
When accessing https://applepaydemo.apple.com/payment-request-api, the "Approve with Side Button" prompt is displayed, but it does not appear when using our test domain. I implemented the Payment Request API based on the sample source code from the following URL. On an iPhone device, the Apple Pay payment screen is displayed, but the "Approve with Side Button" icon below the amount does not appear, and instead a spinning loading icon is shown continuously. Could you please help identify the cause? ■ Reference URL: https://applepaydemo.apple.com/payment-request-api ■ Changed parameter: "merchantIdentifier": "〇〇.dev" ■ Accessed domain: 〇〇test.com ■ Test device: iPhone 13 iOS: 18.4.1

Problem with cert validation and button show
Hi, I’ve been trying to integrate Apple Pay, but for some reason, the payment button is not showing up. The project is built with Laravel 11 and Vue. I imported the script as follows: <script crossorigin crossorigin src="https://applepay.cdn-apple.com/jsapi/1.latest/apple-pay-sdk.js" ></script> Then I added the following the steps: <style> apple-pay-button {{ --apple-pay-button-width: --apple-pay-button-width: 150px;; --apple-pay-button-height: --apple-pay-button-height: 30px;; --apple-pay-button-border-radius: --apple-pay-button-border-radius: 3px;; --apple-pay-button-padding: --apple-pay-button-padding: 0px 0px;; --apple-pay-button-box-sizing: border-box; } </style> <apple-pay-button buttonstyle="black" type="plain" locale="en-US"></apple-pay-button> I followed all the steps from the official Apple Pay demo: https://applepaydemo.apple.com/ I also configured the Content Security Policy (CSP) to allow all necessary resources. However, when I test my integration, the button doesn’t appear. I’ve checked the console, but there are no errors. At the same time, I have my certificate imported into the Keychain, and I’ve completed the entire process of creating both the certificate and the private key. However, when I try to validate the session using the certificate and key with Apple’s API, I get an error: 400 The SSL certificate error https://apple-pay-gateway-cert.apple.com/paymentservices/

How does the Domain Verification Files work
Currently, on our Production environment, when calling https://apple-pay-gateway.apple.com/paymentservices/paymentSessio,n we are randomly receiving: "Payment Services Exception merchantId={Value} unauthorized to process transactions on behalf of merchantId={Value} reason={Value} is not a registered merchant in WWDR and isn't properly authorized via Mass Enablement, either." Since launching Apple Pay on our platform we have received a new Domain Verification File and looking at some of the Domain Verification File that are hosted on the domains they are different to ours. Questions around the Domain Verification File Would we have to update every single Domain Verification File every time we receive a new one ? Does the paymentSession verfiy/call the Domain Verification File on the domain listed at https://[DOMAIN_NAME]/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association ? What happens if the Domain Verification File doesnt match the one that we currently have ? Would we have to regrester our Domains everytime we get a new Domain Verification File ?

Issue with Apple Pay Integration in WKWebView
Hello, We are experiencing an issue with Apple Pay integration in our application. We are using WKWebView to handle various payment methods, but we are unable to complete payments via Apple Pay. Upon debugging the WKWebView, we received the following error message: "400 No required SSL certificate was sent" when attempting to process the payment. Currently, we are using a Let's Encrypt SSL certificate. Could you please confirm whether this certificate is suitable for Apple Pay, or if we should be using a different SSL certificate?

suppressing express mode when using widget
we are currently using the requestAutomaticPassPresentationSuppression API in my app. to prevent the Wallet interface from appearing when an NFC/RF reader is detected during active app usage. Recently, a new transit card supporting Express Mode (T-money Transit Card) was released in Korea, and we are seeing an increasing number of users enabling Express Mode. However, this has introduced an issue where users are unable to use the BLE-based functionality we provide via our widget. Specifically, when the user taps our widget, it triggers a BLE signal broadcast for approximately 10 seconds. In this scenario, when the user brings their iPhone close to our reader, Express Mode is activated before the BLE interaction can be established. This prevents the BLE signal from being successfully received and processed. We would like to ask: Is it possible to suppress Express Mode behavior (similar to requestAutomaticPassPresentationSuppression) even when the app is launched via a widget interaction? Alternatively, is there any way to delay or defer Express Mode activation temporarily when launching from a widget or during BLE communication? We would appreciate any guidance or best practices you can share regarding this scenario. Thank you.

How to use Extended Virtual Addressing and Increased Memory Limit services correctly?
During the development of our 3D game project, we encountered high memory usage requirements. To address this, we enabled Apple’s Extended Virtual Addressing (EVA) and Increased Memory Limit services. We have confirmed that both services were enabled in the developer backend as well as in Xcode, and we also used updated development and distribution certificates when building the app. However, in our validation process, it seems that EVA and Increased Memory Limit are not taking effect — the game still experiences memory overflow and crashes. Could you please advise: The correct steps to properly use Extended Virtual Addressing and Increased Memory Limit; How we can confirm whether these services are functioning as expected?

Apple Pay
We are an acquirer/payment provider offering Apple Pay. Our merchants use our hosted checkout to accept payments. After a user pays with Apple Pay on our checkout, the Wallet transaction record shows our checkout domain as the payee. We would like it to display the merchant’s brand/name so users can recognize or contact the merchant. Is there any parameter or configuration that controls what Wallet shows as the payee? For example, can this be set via a specific field/parameter, or is it strictly derived from the Merchant ID’s display name (or other Apple Pay configuration)? What is the correct approach for a PSP/acquirer to have the merchant’s brand shown in Wallet transaction record? Additional detail: The field in question is the merchant/payee name shown in the Apple Wallet receipt—directly under the transaction amount at the top of the receipt, and again beneath the “Total” line.

Apple Pay Pass Verify same card on Apple Watch App and Wallet Iphone
Hi Guys, I am having an issue verifying a card when it is pending verification in the Apple Watch Wallet App and the iPhone Wallet. When the user verifies the card in the wallets, they are redirected to verification in my APP. However, the problem is that I don't know which application is calling, whether it is the Apple Watch or the iPhone, because the URL sends me the same serialNumber from the PKPASS. It is impossible to know if the user wants to verify and activate the card on the watch or the iPhone. Because I only receive the following information in the URL: myapp://app-url? passTypeldentifier=paymentpass.com.apple&action =verify&serialNumber=***** The serialNumber is the same from the iPhone Wallet and the Watch Wallet. func application(_ app: UIApplication, open url: URL, options: [UIApplication.OpenURLOptionsKey : Any] = [:]) -> Bool { let source = options[.sourceApplication] I try to retrieve the source, but it comes back null. It would be the only way to know the originating App. Can someone help me solve this problem?

Gathering Required Information for Troubleshooting Apple Pay on the Web Merchant Issues

App flgged by apple for paid version clarification
Currently I have an app which is completely free for all the users, I might have future versions where I will introduce paid version, where I will surely use Apple IAP and Revenue CAT. How should I clarify this to App store? Should I tell only what I am doing today, or also tell what I will do in future and keep Apple IAP in my conversation?

FB22332303 (MCDeanPortal app: In-App Provisioning Production Test fails) Thank you

To perform the integration, it must be done under the same domain that has been validated. Is it not possible to do it in a local environment? Could that be the reason why I can't display the button or complete the validation with the API?
