Apple Pay Pass Verify same card on Apple Watch App and Wallet Iphone
Hi Guys, I am having an issue verifying a card when it is pending verification in the Apple Watch Wallet App and the iPhone Wallet. When the user verifies the card in the wallets, they are redirected to verification in my APP. However, the problem is that I don't know which application is calling, whether it is the Apple Watch or the iPhone, because the URL sends me the same serialNumber from the PKPASS. It is impossible to know if the user wants to verify and activate the card on the watch or the iPhone. Because I only receive the following information in the URL: myapp://app-url? passTypeldentifier=paymentpass.com.apple&action =verify&serialNumber=***** The serialNumber is the same from the iPhone Wallet and the Watch Wallet. func application(_ app: UIApplication, open url: URL, options: [UIApplication.OpenURLOptionsKey : Any] = [:]) -> Bool { let source = options[.sourceApplication] I try to retrieve the source, but it comes back null. It would be the only way to know the originating App. Can someone help me solve this problem?

Please help us to understand what is wrong. Please note the domain where the applepay button is located is at txpg.libertypay.ge Which is successfully verified.

In-app provisioning for Apple Pay
We created apps for many credit unions in Canada. Some of those apps has the feature to directly add users' debit cards to Apple Wallet (which is called by Apple as "in-app provisioning"). The feature has been working fine for at least 6 years for many credit unions. Recently, after updating one of those existing apps, we found out that the in-app provisioning is no longer working. Found it very strange, as we didn't touch the code base related to this feature for a very long time. One thing we found out is that the option to add in-app provisioning entitlement is missing during generating "provisioning profile" for the app. Is this a misconfiguration by App? Or do we need to request for additional entitlement migration as mentioned in the page: https://developer.apple.com/help/account/reference/provisioning-with-managed-capabilities ? Apple, please help, it's rather urgent.

Merchant domain verification
Hello, I'm experiencing an irregular issue with Apple Pay merchant domain verification. As you know, Apple requires domain verification every two months to maintain Apple Pay functionality. The problem is that while the verification sometimes happens automatically without any issues, other times it fails to complete, even though the required file "apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association.txt" is correctly available on our server. When automatic verification fails, the Apple Pay service becomes non-functional on our website, forcing us to perform a manual verification to restore the pending service. Is it normal to encounter such inconsistent automatic verification processes? What could be causing these intermittent verification failures, whereas manual verification always succeed? suggesting this might not be related to IP address restrictions described on the Apple documentation. Apple Pay on Google Chrome
Hi - I have a question. I am trying to understand when Apple Pay will be available on non-IOS desktop devices (specifically Google Chrome). I was hoping to understand better the process, specifically the following: How can I get the Apple Pay QR code installed on my desktop checkout page on Google Chrome? How long does this process usually take? If I work with Stripe, do I need to get approval from them to install the Apple QR code onto my Google Chrome checkout page? Is this readily available to all merchants (i.e., installing Apple Pay on Google Chrome)/ I have not seen this on any other checkout pages yet. Are there any examples you could point me to of merchants that have installed Apple Pay onto non-IOS desktop so I could trial the process (i.e., a list of existing merchants that have put the QR code onto their Google Chrome checkout pages)?

Hello. I have a few questions about the implementation of Apple Pay payments on websites. Could you help me From the documentation: Apple Pay issues an Apple Pay Merchant Token if the user’s payment network supports merchant-specific payment tokens. Otherwise, Apple Pay issues a device token for the payment request. How can we determine whether a token is a merchant token or a device token? Is it possible to determine this by any of the token fields? https://developer.apple.com/documentation/passkit/payment-token-format-reference Is it possible to understand this in other ways? Can I make recurring payments with the device token if it was issued instead of the merchant token? Is it necessary to include the tokenNotificationURL when generating a merchant token, or can we generate one without specifying it? What does the applicationExpirationDate field in the merchant token represent? Is this the date when the device token or merchant token expires and payments cannot be made with it?

Wallet Extension show tips "Cannot Add Card"
When integrating the Wallet Extension, after clicking my app icon from the "From Apps on Your iPhone" list, I encountered the message: "Cannot Add Card. 'XXX' is not responding. Wait a few minutes and try again. If the problem continues, contact the card issuer's customer service" instead of the configured login page appearing as expected. What could be causing this issue, and how should I resolve it?

Hello, we are developing in app provisioning of our American Express network cards. After clicking add to apple wallet in our app, I launch the PKAddPaymentPassViewController and click next. It loads for a few seconds and then I get: [<private>] ProvisioningOperationComposer: Step '<private>' failed with error Error Domain=PKProvisioningErrorDomain Code=5 UserInfo={PKErrorHTTPResponseStatusCodeKey=500} Does anyone have any insight on what this error means?

Error Domain=PKPassKitErrorDomain Code=2
This error occurs in Apple Pay Wallet In-App Provisioning Flow for Credit / Debit Cards When the data received from the PNO (Visa) is passed to PKAddPaymentPassRequest this error is seen in addPaymentPassViewController, in the finalize stage. Docs provide no clue as to what could be wrong. iOS 18.2.1 XCode 15.2 Error description mentions "unsupportedVersionError" Is the pass version not supported? Is the wallet version not supported? Is it an app implementation error or error in the data received from the PNO?

Help with "500 Broker Service Response Exception" during Apple Pay In-App Provisioning
I tried to test In-App Provisioning in Production for our whitelisted app through TestFlight (Internal Testing Track) and we received the following error response from PassBook during the provisioning attempt, Could you please guide us? In-App Provisioning Error
We have implemented In-App Provisioning, but when I start the tokenization process, I receive an error before the terms and conditions. We are testing with a version of the app on TestFlight. The error message is: Could not add card. Try again later or contact your card issuer for more information. Could you please help me?

Clarification on Apple Pay Domain Verification File Behavior
I'm implementing Apple Pay in my Flutter web app and I'm following the guidelines for domain verification using the apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association file. When I access the file at https://mydomain.com/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association through my web app, the browser silently downloads the file instead of displaying its content on the webpage. My question is: Is this the expected behavior for the apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association file? Should the browser download the file silently, or is there another step required, such as displaying the content on the webpage for verification purposes? I've consulted some resources and they indicate that the file download is the correct behavior. However, I'd appreciate confirmation from the community to ensure I'm implementing the verification process correctly. Summary is how do we know if apple has verified it?

HCE Default app for double tap of power button
I have the HCE entitlements, but it's not clear from the documentation I have, how to configure my app as the default app for the double tap of the power button. Nor can i see where this is in iOS 18.2 settings. The closest I can find is 'Settings > Default Apps > Contactless App', which still shows only Wallet after I install my app with all the new entitlements and provisioning profile. I have these entitlement successfully provisioning my app: <key>com.apple.developer.nfc.hce</key> <true/> <key>com.apple.developer.nfc.hce.iso7816.select-identifier-prefixes</key> <array> <string>A0000000031010</string> <string>A00000002501</string> <string>A0000000049999</string> <string>A0000000041010</string> </array> <key>com.apple.developer.nfc.hce.default-contactless-app</key> <true/> The documentation here: https://developer.apple.com/support/hce-transactions-in-apps/ also references a link to changes in Info.plist, but the url takes me to storekit-external-entitlement documentation about dating apps in the netherlands ???!!!??? Any help would be appreciated to at least get started by allowing me to change the double tap action to my app. Thanks

Issue Retrieving Bound Cards in Wallet Extension Non-UI Extension
Hi, I’m encountering an issue in my app’s Wallet Extension, specifically within the Non-UI Extension, where we are unable to retrieve payment passes bound to a user’s account. The same code that successfully retrieves these bound cards in the main app does not work when used in the Non-UI Extension. Case-ID: 8932090 Steps to Reproduce: Set up In-App Provisioning: Ensure that the app has the necessary In-App Provisioning permissions. This functionality works correctly in the main app, confirming that the permissions are properly configured. Configure Wallet Extensions: Follow the Wallet Extensions documentation to configure the app, including all required settings for the Non-UI Extension. Add Code to Retrieve Payment Passes: In the main app’s LoginView, implement the following code in the handleLogin() method to retrieve payment passes: // Get the identifiers of payment passes that already exist in Apple Pay. paymentPassLibrary = self.passLibrary.passes(of: .secureElement) for pass in paymentPassLibrary { if let identifier = pass.secureElementPass?.primaryAccountIdentifier { if pass.isRemotePass && pass.deviceName.localizedCaseInsensitiveContains("Apple Watch") { remotePassIdentifiers.insert(identifier) } else if !pass.isRemotePass { passIdentifiers.insert(identifier) } } } Verify Functionality in Main App: Run the app and verify that the code successfully retrieves the payment passes bound to the user’s account. How to Adding credit or debit cards from a card issuer’s website
Hi, I understand that it's possible to add a virtual debit or credit card from a mobile app into the iOS Wallet using PassKit from the Apple SDK. However, I haven't come across documentation on how to achieve this directly from a web app. I found this article on Apple's support site (https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/security/secdc2567239/web), which mentions adding cards from a card issuer’s website, but it doesn’t provide details on the process. Could you please confirm if it's possible to add a card directly from a web app without using a mobile app? If so, could you guide me to the relevant documentation? Thanks in advance!

Help with "500 Broker Service Response Exception" during Apple Pay In-App Provisioning
I tried to test In-App Provisioning in Production for our whitelisted app through TestFlight (Internal Testing Track) and we received the following error response from PassBook during the provisioning attempt, Could you please guide us? Error Response from sysdiagnose PassBookUIService during In-App Provisioning attempt: { statusCode = 500; statusMessage = "Broker Service Response exception"; } I reported the error in Feedback Assistant: ID: FB16112348 (500 Broker Service Response exception during Apple Pay In-App Provisioning ). In-App Provisioning Error
We have implemented In-App Provisioning, but when I start the tokenization process, I receive an error before the terms and conditions. We are testing with a version of the app on TestFlight. The error message is: Could not add card. Try again later or contact your card issuer for more information. Could you please help me?

Clarification on Apple Pay Domain Verification File Behavior
I'm implementing Apple Pay in my Flutter web app and I'm following the guidelines for domain verification using the apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association file. When I access the file at https://mydomain.com/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association through my web app, the browser silently downloads the file instead of displaying its content on the webpage. My question is: Is this the expected behavior for the apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association file? Should the browser download the file silently, or is there another step required, such as displaying the content on the webpage for verification purposes? I've consulted some resources and they indicate that the file download is the correct behavior. However, I'd appreciate confirmation from the community to ensure I'm implementing the verification process correctly. Summary is how do we know if apple has verified it?

HCE Default app for double tap of power button
I have the HCE entitlements, but it's not clear from the documentation I have, how to configure my app as the default app for the double tap of the power button. Nor can i see where this is in iOS 18.2 settings. The closest I can find is 'Settings > Default Apps > Contactless App', which still shows only Wallet after I install my app with all the new entitlements and provisioning profile. I have these entitlement successfully provisioning my app: <key>com.apple.developer.nfc.hce</key> <true/> <key>com.apple.developer.nfc.hce.iso7816.select-identifier-prefixes</key> <array> <string>A0000000031010</string> <string>A00000002501</string> <string>A0000000049999</string> <string>A0000000041010</string> </array> <key>com.apple.developer.nfc.hce.default-contactless-app</key> <true/> The documentation here: https://developer.apple.com/support/hce-transactions-in-apps/ also references a link to changes in Info.plist, but the url takes me to storekit-external-entitlement documentation about dating apps in the netherlands ???!!!??? Any help would be appreciated to at least get started by allowing me to change the double tap action to my app. Thanks

Issue Retrieving Bound Cards in Wallet Extension Non-UI Extension
Hi, I’m encountering an issue in my app’s Wallet Extension, specifically within the Non-UI Extension, where we are unable to retrieve payment passes bound to a user’s account. The same code that successfully retrieves these bound cards in the main app does not work when used in the Non-UI Extension. Case-ID: 8932090 Steps to Reproduce: Set up In-App Provisioning: Ensure that the app has the necessary In-App Provisioning permissions. This functionality works correctly in the main app, confirming that the permissions are properly configured. Configure Wallet Extensions: Follow the Wallet Extensions documentation to configure the app, including all required settings for the Non-UI Extension. Add Code to Retrieve Payment Passes: In the main app’s LoginView, implement the following code in the handleLogin() method to retrieve payment passes: // Get the identifiers of payment passes that already exist in Apple Pay. paymentPassLibrary = self.passLibrary.passes(of: .secureElement) for pass in paymentPassLibrary { if let identifier = pass.secureElementPass?.primaryAccountIdentifier { if pass.isRemotePass && pass.deviceName.localizedCaseInsensitiveContains("Apple Watch") { remotePassIdentifiers.insert(identifier) } else if !pass.isRemotePass { passIdentifiers.insert(identifier) } } } Verify Functionality in Main App: Run the app and verify that the code successfully retrieves the payment passes bound to the user’s account. Implement Code in Non-UI Extension: Add the same code to the Non-UI Extension, specifically in the WNonUIExtHandler class within the override func status(completion: @escaping (PKIssuerProvisioningExtensionStatus) -> Void) method. Test in Wallet Extension: Run the Wallet Extension and observe that the payment passes are not retrieved when the code is executed in the Non-UI Extension. Has anyone encountered a similar issue or can provide insight into why the code might not work in the Non-UI Extension compared to the main app? How to Adding credit or debit cards from a card issuer’s website
Hi, I understand that it's possible to add a virtual debit or credit card from a mobile app into the iOS Wallet using PassKit from the Apple SDK. However, I haven't come across documentation on how to achieve this directly from a web app. I found this article on Apple's support site (https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/security/secdc2567239/web), which mentions adding cards from a card issuer’s website, but it doesn’t provide details on the process. Could you please confirm if it's possible to add a card directly from a web app without using a mobile app? If so, could you guide me to the relevant documentation? Thanks in advance!
